    Lumpy, sloppily made bed!!
    Jamarha M.

Room looked and smelled clean for the most part. Friendly hotel staff. Nice lobby. Great location for shops and food. HOWEVER....this bed. What in the entire world is going on here. This was the lumpiest bed I have ever seen at a hotel. In the pictures, this is EXACTLY how the bed looked before I even touched it. Sloppy, and lumpy. When I went to pull the sheets back, it's as if the duvet had been dried and clumped up in certain spots. I think that was what made the ridges on the bed. It was very uncomfortable to feel on my legs at night. Also, when I sat on the mattress, it was so boxy and hard I could have sworn I was sleeping on a box spring. Going to have to go see a chiropractor when I get home it was so terrible. Not good for my lower back at all. Luckily I was dog tired so i was able to fall asleep fast but otherwise I would have been tossing and turning trying to get comfortable. Terrible!!! The sleeping comfortability is a top priority for me when I go to hotels so unfortunately, although the other things as far as cleanliness and size of the room, as well as staff weren't bad, it's overshadowed in my eyes by this terrible mattress and presentation.

5/17/21 I wanted to see what a Marriott looked like during this Coronavirus Pandemic.

5/17/21 It has been a while since setting foot inside a Marriott hotel. During these times with the Coronavirus Outbreak going about, new things have gone into place that I wanted to see for myself. I learned that rooms that are occupied for more than three days get an automatic cleaning, but if not, you can specify what service needs to be done. Housekeeping you might see less and less of, bit they are around. I liked seeing the king suite and especially the new recycling bin that is in each room. Not sure how this plays out on the housekeeping carts, but this is a plus for me. I liked the walkin closets I saw. It is almost big enough for an adult to sleep in. The sheets of the bedding look better than the ones I saw in Courtyard Marriott in Washington DC. I liked the gray flooring better to. The small bar/sitting area outside can be used for lounging or drinking (Marriott Alcohol Drinks Only) outside. You may bring your non alcoholic drinks with you to the lounge/sitting area outside if you like. The bar opens at 4pm till 10pm. Breakfast on the weekdays are from 6:30am till 9:00AM and 7AM to 9:30AM on weekends. The breakfast is buffet style with the options of eatting down stairs or back in your room. You can use the dolly to bring your food back to your room, but most people will just carry their items with them. The pool and gym can be used, but at a select amount of people. To get a gym or pool card, you will need to get it at the front desk. This new method has changed because if The Coronavirus Outbreak. Days of using your key card are gone...for now...maybe. This hotel looks very nice and if I do end up coming back here for my vacation, this is where I want to go to. I would like to say thank you to Dan who made this experience wonderful. I have a lot to think about now for our up coming vacation.

Let me start by saying that this isn't the Springhill Suites of old. Marriott has revamped this brand of hotels, or at least this one has been. Sleek and modern are the first adjectives that come to mind when you walk through the lobby. The room was quite impressive for what used to be a rather low end of the Marriott brand. No I'm not saying Waldorph Astoria, but comparable to a classy hotel on this level. My coworkers chose this hotel due to the close proximity of multiple dining establishments which is an added plus. My room was nicer than I ever remember a Springhill Suites room being. Check out the photos. The only downside this trip was that my next door neighbor snored loudly which is no fault of the hotel. Other than that I was comfortable during my entire stay. Staff was Uber Friendly and Helpful! Will definitely stay here again when working in he area.

This hotel was fabulous. We went down to visit family for Christmas and stayed here for three nights. The room/suite, which had 2 queen beds and a trundle bed, was beautiful. It's located near lots of shops, a movie theater, and restaurants (Uncle Julio's is great). Beds were comfy, trundle bed was cozy too. We put it on top of the couch to make it more like a bed. Shower was fantastic- no crappy water pressure! Breakfast is served from 6:30-9:00, and had nice options and good coffee. I used the fitness center which was up to date and had good equipment. I didn't use the pool, but it was a smaller pool mainly for doing laps; not swimming and playing with the kids. Staff was very friendly as well. Housekeeping had found a ring in our room and left it on the dresser after making up the room. It wasn't ours, must've been left by a previous guest, but good to know that amid the bad rap of some hotels' staff, this one's is trustworthy. We will definitely be back when we go to visit again!

Nice clean new place with a very friendly staff. My only complaint is that the beds are too firm.

Maid service every OTHER Wednesday. Trains, trains, and more trains. This place is located basically on the train tracks of a very active and horn-heavy line. You will wake up a few times every night to the roar and honks of the trains. Construction workers make up the bulk of the customers. I was the only one wearing a tie and would often suffer daily heckles as I came home from DC. The "bed" is more of a 2 inch pad on a board. Safety? Lock the door. The facility has plenty of cameras, but during the course of my 3 month stay, the police showed up no less than 4 times. Twice for very obvious domestic violence calls. A man dragging his "woman" through the parking lot by her hair. And a separate couple reversed the roles by having a woman chase the man with a kitchen knife. The other two times I'm not sure what happened. The scariest event involved a full swat team visit late one night to a felon a few doors down. Price is the only reason to stay here. It's one step away from being homeless. And in some respects, I'd prefer living under a bridge.

We stayed here for about six months. Very clean, nice workers. Never seen a single bug. We've…read morestayed at three value place locations and this one was the best by far. Yes, it's by the train tracks but you hardly notice the train. It's not a big deal. I like that they have laundry cards instead of messing with quarters. My only issue was the tv. It's an old bulky tv that can't be hooked up to a Blu ray player. They had a ton of new tvs stocked up and wouldnt let me switch for a new one to be able to use the Blu ray player I got for Christmas despite the fact that we spent thousands of dollars there. It's located close to everything you could possibly need. Gavin was always friendly and super helpful. We really enjoyed out stay here. The other comment on here is just being picky. The price is the best you'll find in the area and no one messes with you. I walked around with my baby a lot to let her play and do laundry. No one ever messed with me.

The rooms have definitely seen better days but we only needed a clean room to sleep. Of course the bed wasn't fully made or clean. There was dirt and debris on the sheets. The price was reasonable for just the room, but the pet fee is $200 (even for service animals). Check in took over 20 minutes. The parking lot is big, which is nice. The vending machines take your money and the staff just say to call the number on the machine.

Where do I even start!!! My husband and and ai booked this room and stayed for about a month. From…read morethe moment we arrived, we were harassed about our dog by Sandy. Our dog is part Husky, and is a talker which a lot of guests loved him there, but Sandy was afraid of dogs and every time we crossed paths, whe called him aggressive and that she was going to make sure we didn't stay! My husband and I paid the $200 pet fee which my dog is my registered emotional support animal, so the fees should have been waived, but weren't. We were also charge the $10 a day pet fee which we should not have been charged either. Then, when I talked to Sandy at the front desk about the internet, we got on the topic about my dog once again, and she said that my dog had to be with me at all times. I explained that I cannot handle him pulling me when he walks, so my husband does that. She said nope, not going to work. I said I don't understand because Kane (my dog) hadn't caused any issues! She said it doesn't matter. Then she had thr audacity to ask with one between my husband or I had the disability with an attitude as if she questiined my disability!!! I said I do, and it's my back, as if I had to explain anything to her!!! IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO QUESTION A GUESTS DISABILITY!!! I CRIED FOR DAYS AFTER THAT!!! My husband told thr GM Jason, and he apologized and wanted to make sure the roaches were taken care of. I was not happy about staying there, but we had no choice because we didn't have a vehicle to just leave. So, a month goes by, and I go to the front desk to ask about extending the stay because we paid weekly, and I was told by Amanda that I was not allowed to extend my stay and I was being asked to leave per Jason the GM!!!!! I asked why and she only shrugged her shoulders and said I don't know, you need to speak to him. I said okay may I speak to him now and she said no mam, he won't take your calls. This is memorial day weekend mind you, and he was off until Tuesday, and this was Friday. I said how am I supposed to talk to him on Tuesday if we have to leave tomorrow morning. She said not my problem! I said we haven't done anything wrong!!!! She said I don't know. I said I have no vehicle, am disabled by the state of VA, and have a lot of stuff here what am I supposed to do? She said we'll you left us annsty review when you get here! I said we'll yes, what was I supposed to do? I was harassed and my disability was questioned!! She said well moost people who leave bad reviews leave, i said everyone that lives here leave bad reviews. She said we're not talking about them. I said so you're going to give me not even 12 hours to leave without a reason, she said yeap with a tiny smile on her face. So I go to me husband who calls corporate and they do nothing. Then my husband bega to get some time to get everything out and was given until Monday at 12 pm. He goes over to get our things out with my mother's help, and has one last load to do, not to mention Amanda's husband Shannon who acts like he works there but does not, follows them everywhere harassing them, gets almost everything, when they ask for 20 more min for the last load and the room would be clear. Amanda said NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What kind of place is this???? My disability was questioned!!! I have contacted corporate who pleaded with me to get my lawyer involved which I do now have. Oh, and after we left, woodsprings TRIED to run my card for $200 more!!!!!!!!! Seeiosualy?!?!?!?!! I have never in my life been so humiliated and treated so badly by professionals!!!!!!! This stay hurt my mental state and I'm going to do everything possible to make sure something is done because everything about it is illegal and just WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!! SHAME ON YOU AMANDA AND SANDY!!!!!!!!!
