The charbroiled oysters and their bananas foster are the stars on their menu. Those mini grilled cheese sandwiches they serve should be removed from the menu list. Just sayin. Bananas Foster were a cool effect, but ended up too soupy for excellence. Reasonable bar selection of mid-level wines and spirits with simple mixed drinks only (no sazaracs, French 75s, or gin fizzes at this wedding) - again, don't know what our friends sprung for. The yoga instructor is calming; it makes for a peaceful begining. The goats are so adorable and there were babies in the spring, not more than maybe 8 lbs or so. They have you set up outside, on your yoga mats (don't forget to bring a mat - they supply thin ones in case you forget). and there is a small fence around your yoga group so the goats cant get out. The group is maybe 10 or 12 people. If it rains, they have a tent set up so the yoga goes on, rain or shine. And you just a nice, hour long relaxing time in this beautifully, tranquil garden. After you finish the best yoga in the city, they offer vegan empanadas as a nice snack and a baseball hat with the Paradigm Gardens logo on it. You can bring your own water and they have nice clean bathrooms as well. They are doing everything right! Everyone should experience the joy of goat yoga!

When we got engaged I put a post on facebook asking if anyone back home knew of a wedding planner they would recommend and a friend directed me to Vim& Verve. BEST DECISION EVER! I cannot rave enough about Andrea. She talked me down off the ledge when I called balling my eyes out saying that we were going to elope due to the extensive amount of drama from our friends and family. Andrea calmed me, told me to sleep on it for a night and talk with the groom the next morning. When I wanted to return my dress she advised me to try it on then send her a picture. When she saw the photo she suggested changing the accessories ( sash and veil) I hadnt even considered it... I found a bridal consingment shop brought the dress, veil and sash - discovered a whole new look to the dress that fit my personality better just by changing those things. I fell in love with the dress all over again. She made amazing recommendations for the caterer Laura Arrowood and photographer Jason Albus - they were budget friendly and out of this world great. Everytime we traveled to New Orleans Andrea made time to meet with us no matter how short of a trip it was. The day before the wedding weather forecast showed rain and probability of a tornado. Andrea was cool, calm and collected while I was very freaked. She calmed my nerves, we called around to rental companies and found that tents would be 700$ or more at last minute our budget didnt allow for that. Andrea jumped on the phone and made a trip to the Naval Base in Belle Chasse to rent tents for 20$ a day the day before the wedding - can you say above and beyond. When our officiant dropped out of the wedding she stepped up and said she could recommend a few people in town or she would do it herself. She helped us write an amazing ceremony and when we opted to write our own vows she proofread them and helped make tweaks so they were perfect. We have a lot of crazy family situations, she listened to all the drama and knew ahead of time what to look out for - family members that have come to blows and hadnt been in the same room for over 20 years came together and had an amazing time. It was MANDATORY that we find a venue who would allow our dogs to walk in our wedding party ( we have 6 and a pig) she gave us options fitting all of the things we asked for. Every text and email, no matter how tiny I sent her I received a response to without a lengthy wait. There is sooooo much more I could go on for days. She handled every member of our group with respect, care and happiness no matter how attitudey some of them could be. EVERY family member, wedding party member and guest loved Andrea. We received so many compliments on how fun, happy, friendly and great she was from all of our guests. She made planning a wedding from out of town a breeze. She helped my come up with meanings for our cake pulls and found us such great deals and vendors. Every person in and at the wedding stopped us to say this was the funnest wedding with the best food, music, drinks and ceremony they had ever been to and how much they LOVED Andrea. What's great about GNC is they handle all the set-up, secure the location, very detail oriented, and handle all the breakdown and cleanup! All you have to do is bring the alcohol or any preferred choice of beverage. Your reservation includes a two hour reservation with the set-up and you can pay for additional hours and guests if desired. Since this was for Valentine's Day it was just for my partner and I. We were placed at the Tree of Life and I was contacted the day of with all updates. When we parked in front of the tree, my partner and I were in absolute awe of the set-up. GNC had it beautifully set up and had the area reserved with a private picnic in action. There was a mini heat generator, champagne bucket, still and sparkling water bottles, our charcuterie and sweet board, pillows, lounge pillows, blankets, so many cute VDay details, and even a few lagniappes for us to enjoy. GNC is all about the details and the Assorted Boards charcuterie boards were delish! I highly recommend using them for special occasions, dates, or a large family and friend function.
