The carpets by the elevators and in the rooms are stained and it makes the whole room feel a bit dingy! I would think this is a quick fix and something they would keep on top of ! Their laundry room for their linens is across the hall from the kitchen, so the towels although clean and fluffy kinda smell like breakfast ! In the mornings on our floor they provide free coffee and tea. Since we also had some time in between wedding festivities, we went to the hotel pool and had a nice time. When I checked in I was greeted by a friendly woman at the reception desk. The check-in was quick and efficient. I was directed to the middle entrance. Upon arrival I found that the outside door did not lock, the swipe was not functional. Inside, I had to schlepp my suitcase upstairs due to the lack of an elevator in that location. Upon arrival in my non-smoking room I found the room stank like cigarette smoke. I tried to notify the front desk just to find that although the instructions for calling the front desk are to dial 0, after 10 or so rings the voicemail system answered. I was never able to raise the front desk from the room phone. I finally called from my cell phone. The room itself was clean (yea!) but in need of a major facelift. Not very well laid out, there is almost no place to set something down. Outlets are at a premium. The two beds could use new mattresses, although I did end up sleeping ok. Bottom line, location, location, location. The room was overpriced for what it is. Anywhere else this would have been half the price. Next time I'll spend $20 more per night and have something price range appropriate.

Perfect location for time in Glens Falls but close enough to Lake George and Saratoga Springs that other guests covered all three locations in one day! The Inn itself is beautifully restored by its new owners who are clearly experienced in Bed and Breakfast management. The rooms are clean but simple details in decoration make it unique. Two of the rooms have gas fireplaces, we enjoyed the ease and beauty of them in our room. The lines, pillows and towels were definitely a step above what you find staying in a hotel. Appreciated the individual controls in each room for comfort. A nice touch was the small fridge in the closet. It didn't take away from the ambiance of the room but added a feature many Bed and Breakfasts don't have. Breakfast was awesome! Coffee and tea are available at any hour. Fresh coffee is out at 7:30 and breakfast served from 8:30-10. I truly enjoyed tea from a beautiful tea cup and saucer. Nancy and Bill served fresh fruit, I was impressed with the variety they offered for April. The scones, maple one day we stayed lavender the next were cooked to perfection. For $89 a night with a continental breakfast, in this day and age, what would your expect? The check-in was fairly easy. I was able to get into the room several hours ahead of the 3 pm check-in time. The inn was very quiet. Not a lot of guests. The room was warm when I got there. They were kind enough to turn the heat up for our arrival. I brought my 5 month old golden retriever puppy. There was a $25 fee for her to stay with me. In the dialog on their website it said a $25 deposit, insinuating that it would be refunded. Because I booked my room directly with their front desk person, Angela, she explained that it was a fee that would not be refunded. **I would highly recommend that the inn update their website to avoid miscommunication and misleading language about this matter. The room was clean, but yes, not boutique stylish and modern. The sheets were clean, the towels clean, but thread-bare. Even though the room was tired, it's was very functional. There was a small fridge. A single serving coffee maker. Angela (hotel staff) directed me to Fitzgerald's across the street for a late lunch. It was good pub food, friendly staff. After hiking nearby Lake Moreau state park, I ordered some take-out Chinese from a small "takeout only" place about 5 mins north of the inn. The shower took a while to get hot. But after about 5 mins there was plenty. Slept very well, the inn was surprisingly quiet, as it is between Rt 9 in front, and a truck route cut-through behind the property. Lots of outdoor space for walking the puppy and outdoor garbage receptacles for waste disposal. I didn't have the included breakfast, but I did fill up my coffee mug before hitting the road. Coffee was hot and decent. Looked like a lot of package cereals and pastries. I don't remember seeing any fresh fruit or protein options. All in all, if you're looking for an inexpensive, decent place to stay in the South Glens Falls, Saratoga, queensbury area, I would recommend it.

As I sat down on the toilet the entire seat went off the toilet crashing to the ground and taking me with it. I immediately called after taking a picture and we were out in room 121. I was asked if I was ok at the front desk and I thought I was, I also didn't want to upset my daughter or my grandson. Both were rattled by the loud crash. When we got to 121 of course that seat was loose too so the desk clerk came and screwed it on. The next day I sought medical attention with some bruising and back, neck and shoulder were extremely sore. I asked that an accident report be made and the dark haired girl in the office said she'd leave a note for the owner Sean. While we were preparing to leave as we were in town for a death in the family and the necessary planning, the housekeeper knocked she told us flat out she'd be fired if anyone saw us talking but that she had been putting in maintenance reports all summer. She said she too had used the toilet in the 120 room and it had come off but she didn't report it because she would be fired. I am thinking if she does it won't be the end of the world. Saturday we again got in later about 8:30 we walked in the room and the beds were not made, dirty towels were in floor BUT garbage had been emptied... cups suddenly appeared in the coffee machine after 2 days... I called the front desk to get towels and the owner answered. He said they would be in the lobby-- and I said NO he could bring them. At 9:20 I went over and showed him the pictures of how the room was "cleaned" and asked again for an accident report. I was told it would be available Monday. I also asked for his last name--- he didn't seem to know it. We have stayed here many times when the former owner John owned it without issue. It is not new, not the greatest but it was always CLEAN. The pictures are of room 120 for the toilet seat and the rest are 121 we literally had plastic over anything with cloth on it and kept belongings in our car. When we went to use the pool the smell of chlorine burned our lungs within seconds of opening the door. There was NO WAY I was going to risk chemical burns or worse so I had a very disappointed grandson. The lack of concern of the owner with someone getting injured on his property is sickening. This place needs to be checked out by the health department at the very least! Anything that we brought in the room had to be bagged and carted off to the washers to avoid moving bedbugs along. We asked Saturday and Sunday for an accident report finally the dark haired girl handed it to me Monday am. It was so full of BS I didn't sign it and was given a copy. BEWARE this is not the LANDMARK MOTOR INN it used to be and the staff and ownership can care less about anything.

Properties are beautiful and well appointed but they are notorious for after charges with claims. My recent stay I was not happy that they don't release the address until check in time especially when traveling 3 hours to get there. Overall, the unit was relatively clean, although I did find hair left in the shower and cobwebs in the bunk area. The hot tub had not been cleaned and, despite being covered, was full of leaves and bugs. The shower water pressure was extremely weak and noticeable cob webs throughout the home. Also, the bunk bed is listed as a king bed, which is inaccurate. Despite these issues, I was happy with my stay and was even considering booking one of their properties again. Several days after my stay I discovered an unexpected $500 charge on my credit card with absolutely no notice or warning. When I checked the app to find out what the charge was for, I found a message from the host simply stating: "stained linens throughout the rental." This accusation was both vague and unreasonable. We barely used the rental and only slept in one of the 3 beds and followed all check out rules to leave the unit spotless. To be charged $500 after the fact, without any prior communication, photos, evidence, or opportunity to discuss the issue, was extremely disappointing and has completely changed my opinion of this property management company. After contacting Vrbo to dispute the charge and multiple attempts to contact the property with no response. northern provided photo proof of alleged soiled linens. 1. A kitchen towel/rag that had signs of food on it (washable), 2. A pillow case with a slight soiled spot (washable) and 3. A towel that had dirt marks on it (washable). All issues were normal use and could be washed and definitely did not result in the need to replace: as requested by northern to the extent of 1. 2 pillow shams (only one was soiled) 2. a new comforter which they had no proof of any damage to 3. New dish towel 4. 6 full sets of towels (only one set was even used - they provided 3 total - 1 set for each bed and the unused ones remained folded in place where they were placed by northern) Potential guests should be aware of the possibility of additional charges, inaccurate bed sizes and most important significant post-stay charges and proceed with caution. Inspect every inch upon arrival and before departure and take photos and videos. Or even better. Don't stay at their properties at all.
