I appreciated everything about my interactions with her. Back then, she actually responded to most of the messages I sent through the MyChart portal. I could also, typically, get a live person on the phone. Or if I left a message, I could get a relatively prompt reply. I re-initiated care after a year or two and things have changed drastically. Dr. Bodor no longer responds to messages, the staff do that. And when they respond their replies are terse and usually don't address the matter your trying to resolve. Recently, Dr. Bodor referred me to specialists and when I went into the portal to check updates about my referrals, the messages were completely unhelpful. The messages said: "Complete as directed by your provider...Contact your organization for instructions on how to complete this test or procedure." So I tried to send a message for clarification and I was unable to send a message from MyChart. It was only after several failed attempts that I learned Dr. Bodor's office had transitioned to a different patient portal. There was ZERO notification of this. So I called the office to get clarification. The woman who I spoke with told me to make an appointment with the specialists and provide this information to the office so they could add it to the referrals. I did that. Over a week ago, I sent a message (through the new portal) with the appointment and doctor information, and I left a voicemail. I still haven't gotten a response. I have an appointment with one of the specialists tomorrow and still haven't received confirmation from Dr. Bodor's office that they have received the information I provided and that I am all set to keep the appointment. Do I cancel it? Do I go and risk wasting my time all to find out they don't have my referral? When you are unwell and you just want to get better, you should not have to worry about any of this. With all of the healthcare options available these days, you would think physicians' offices would strive to support patients in need of their care. But no. This abysmal conduct is unacceptable. Open enrollment is coming in the fall. I am searching for a new doctor.

She was dismissive, uncaring, without any compassion or empathy. As one other reviewer here wrote, it was like talking to a wall. At one point, I held back from asking if I had offended her in some way, but I don't think I did, I was answering all of her questions and would have been HAPPY to get some support and help with my condition. Her total lack of empathy left me feeling like the appt was a total imposition for her. My 2 issues were clearly stated in my appt request and with the person who made the appt with her, and she seemed irritated to have to deal with 2 issues, not just a single issue. Both needed attention, and she wanted to move on quickly because she didn't seem to have the time or desire to explain what she thought might be happening. I walked out with referrals, which is appreciated, but I will never go back to her, and I would warn anyone who wants someone with a listening and compassionate ear to steer clear. I mentioned that I was scared, and she didn't even take a moment to address that fear, either to confirm it or allay any fears. No thanks, never returning to her care.

He is patient, sympathetic, empathetic, extremely knowledgeable, caring, and highly skilled. Moreover, he employs a terrific sense of humor and is extremely articulate. He can be extremely succinct in explaining medical terms, conditions, diagnosis, prognosis, etc. to the lay person. Not once has his insights or advice been off the mark...not once ! The quality of his expertise and care are above 5-stars and he is terrific at following through. Dr. Ross employs a supremely efficient and experienced office staff; all of whom are truly on the ball. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

Man!!! what a difference. During out initial conversation and review of my health history I could tell that he actually red and knew a lot about what was in my Kaiser chart. We established a routine that includes acupuncture, which he administers himself. His entire approach and execution of the treatments are pure magic. I call him a magician. It is amazing how much more energy I have and how my pain is manageable within 5 sessions of his treatment, which is holistic, as in so much more than just acupuncture or just western medicine chart review. He is a true healer for me and I hope that his practice is doing well for many years to come.

She didn't state her credentials. She talked over me several times when I was answering her questions, she was incredibly slow, she did not ask for permission or give a warning before touching my body physically, and she did not do anything professional at the very end. She asked the same question multiple times to me. I do not recommend. If I see her again, I am leaving the room.

He's friendly and easy to talk to. I did not feel rushed and he took time asking lots of questions about my health history. I came in for some cold symptoms and he took the time analyze my health history and suggest an additional test to rule out any escalation in my heart condition and talked to me about the results immediately. All of this is exactly what you should expect from a great doctor. What a relief to have found one in Berkeley. PCPs in general are a challenge to find in my area, and thankfully she "appeared" just at the right time. This is my first experience with a provider outside of Kaiser, and I can honestly say I've never felt so heard or understood by a doctor. I used to think the doctors on TV who really get to know their patients were fictional--but not with Dr. Beal! She takes her time, never rushes appointments, and genuinely listens. She encourages questions and never makes me feel silly for asking anything, no matter how basic it might seem. Dr. Beal is working with me to build a care plan that actually fits me--not a one-size-fits-all solution. I'm honestly so thankful that I had to leave Kaiser, because it led me to her.
