Karlie showed me into a room and she brought in the computer and hooked up to monitor and keyboard and mouse. I proceeded to troubleshoot and also got on a support call. After driving to this site I was hoping to take a bathroom break and maybe get some coffee. I asked the ladies in billing if it was ok to go to breakroom and everyone was helpful and I got some coffee and went back to the computer and still waiting for support. I had another call come in and someone from AMSYS informed me that the client wanted me to leave and I have no idea why. While I was on the phone with both AMSYS and Jonathan M, Karlie came back into the room and demanded that I leave immediately. I grabbed my stuff and left. I did leave the computer probably finishing up. Karlie said I could be anybody like someone off the street. She treated me like a DOG. I never saw any patients and I was actively in this room doing my work. This was first time being kicked off a site in 25 years of performing onsite IT services. I am also a Navy Veteran.

Amanda, who organized our consultation, was very kind and listened and answered all of our questions. We see Dr. Mark and his demeanor, attention to detail, and kindness shines! They have two offices, one in Grandville and the other in Kentwood. They have several chairs and several team members. The space is very clean, welcoming and beautiful. From the chairs you have wonderful views of the Grandville area.They have a small play area for kids and a coffee bar for the adults! Prices of orthodontia are similar to other locations for our specific needs. If you are looking for an orthodontist this is the place to go. They have very knowledgeable staff, up to date technology and have won many awards for being a top orthodontic office. The office accounts receivable said I could wait for the estimate but it would be quite hefty so it may take a while to figure out the costs. When I got my bill for todays consult I was charged 87.50 however my copay for this specialist is $50. They told me it was the estimated charge after insurance. At this point I realized this was not about fixing my teeth but about charging customers for doing absolutely nothing. So I went to a walk in place and got what I needed done for less than 1k. Same day! My recommendation is to run not walk from this place.

I said no, and she said it was a mistake and let it go (?!?) DON'T SIGN anything without reading it very carefully. They ask you to sign a pad at the front desk. I wish I had taken a picture of the pad, scrolled down to the end, and opened & recorded everything. They attached that scribble pad signature to my agreement to charges for a later appointment (no explanation, just sign the pad on the way in). The initial visit is like visiting a bad car dealer. They take you to the business office and try to upsell you (when you're vulnerable, after ex-rays). The actual dental staff is great and the environment is good. The care I received was great. The dentist and assistants were professional, friendly, caring, and had great communication. My filling and crown were taken care of faster than I expected. I was very happy with the actual dental care.

The…read moreoffice staff and Dr Cilla failed to disclose the biopsy procedure I needed would NOT BE COVERED BY DELTA DENTAL as it is a medical and not a dental procedure. Lesson learned after much hassle and time invested, do your insurance company homework or you could be out hundreds of dollars. I was instructed multiple times by Cilla's office staff that full payment was expected on the day of the biopsy and it was up to me to submit the claim to my insurance provider. They said they couldn't tell me how that was done. They also said they couldn't tell me what would be covered. I contacted my insurance agent. She said this is atypical procedure by a clinic. With the procedure code she learned my payment would NOT NOT BE COVERED Delta Dental although they are in DD network. The claim would have been applied to a $1500 specialist deductible with my Priority Health MEDICAL insurance. Using a medical doctor, an oral surgeon, I now will only have a $45 copay with my Priority Health medical insurance plan instead of paying hundreds of dollars. PH provided me with a list of in network oral surgeons. In addition to failing to disclose DD would not cover the procedure, Cilla's office staff was difficult and rude to me, my agent, and to the oral surgeon's staff when they asked for a referral. I was told by both oral surgeon and Melissa at Dr. Cilla's office that he refused to make the referral. Cilla's staff knew I cancelled my appt to save hundreds of dollars. They hassled me about getting copies of my file and said the oral surgeon's office had all they needed. Yet, Melissa at Cilla's office also told me Cilla had refused to make a referral. How can the oral surgeon have all they need and yet Cilla is refusing to make a referral? They also incorrectly charted that I told the oral surgeon Cilla referred me. I told the oral surgeon PH had them on their list of paneled providers. They were very aware that Cilla did NOT refer me and that my insurance agent had been the one who informed me of the need for an oral surgeon to have the cost covered. Sadly, prior to learning all this I had planned on continuing with Cilla had I required further treatment.
