Horrible cut today. Just bad. I have been here about 4 times. The first 3 were ok, I saw the same lady. But not this time. The lady I usually see (Maddie) isn't there anymore. Bad, bad, bad, BAD haircut with Amanda. I got a total of about 12 inches cut off (wanted about 10 off at the most). I asked for a shoulder length cut, and it's up to my chin. It looks like I have 2 different haircut styles on my head! It's horrible. The back is super choppy, and the sides do not match. At all. One side of my head has "layers," the other does not. There was about a 2-3 inch difference between the sides. I went to someone else to have it fixed almost immediately. The worst part is, it is not even long enough to hide it by putting it in a pony tail! I'm super sad. I won't be back to Saranda Salon. I hope this grows out quickly! read more

I have been going to Amanda for two years now, she has never let me down when it comes to my hair no matter what crazy idea I have. She also is honest and gives me the best advice for my hair. I went in to thes salon on a recomendation from a friend. I had moved from out of state and was very nervous about finding a place that had the right fit and feel for me. I was not disappointed! I was welcomed quickly and the smiles were sincere. No fakery here. Great decor and some cool products on sale, even neat glass artwork! Stylist Rachel did my hair. I had been growing it out and was in dire need of shape and style. She listened and understood what I wanted even though I could not put it into the right words. I left that place with what felt like a brand new head of hair. It had style, bounce,shape and shine! I was shown how to do it myself at home , (and it worked I might add!) Go see Amber!!! I don't get hair cuts often because I hate when salons charge too much for something so simple. Not the case here. I have very long, very thick hair and was only charged $28 for a cut and style. Across the street in the mall I was charged $48 for the same result. I also got an eyebrow wax and had great results. I warned the stylist that I'm sensitive to wax and regularly burn and get scabs if it is too hot. I had no issues here! Amber was my stylist and she comes highly recommended. She is new to the field but that's okay because she took her time and paid attention to detail. If you want a stylist to give you a great and thorough cut, try her out! read more

First time experience: Color my hair red with blonde highlights. Do not make it orange. She heard "make it orange." I ended up with four oddball colors. The stylist's work station was a mess. I should have left. There was hair on the floor. The chair was ripped. She used scissors that weren't clean and her combs were not in Barbasol. Also, check out the other stylist's hair. I have extremely fine hair and told her I was looking for something that would make my hair look thicker and give it more oomph and was extremely pleased with the outcome. I heard great things about this salon and decided to give it a try. I lucked out and scored a Groupon for a haircut and conditioning treatment. This salon is adorable for starters, and the stylists were all also very nice. I worked with Maddy, who was very sweet. She washed my hair and put in the conditioning treatment and we jumped into the cut. I have long, thick hair and a ton of layers, and she took her time to carefully trim up what I wanted (I like my layers short, but I wanted hardly anything off the ends because I'm trying to grow my hair out even longer). She fixed my side-sweep bangs which were completely grown out, and after drying my hair with a blow dryer, we finished with her shaving a small area on the side of my head and giving me steps. This was something new that I had been wanting to try, and I was a little nervous about it, but she was confident and did a great job. Lastly, she put in a couple of hair feathers (not included in the Groupon obviously but I didn't mind paying extra)! I left very pleased with my experience and with my hair. Honestly I had high hopes for this place. It was recommended to me and I saw the nice reviews so I gave it a shot since I am newer to the area. Honestly worst experience ever. I spent 3 hours there to get my hair highlited and I left with uneven color removal (I went from darker brown to a medium brown) and patchy high lights. The stylist could tell he didn't get my hair the way I wanted it so he told me I could come back and he could do highlights again no charge (I paid over $200 and he acted like he cut me a deal by not charging me for all his time). I should have trusted my gut and not gone back at all but I did because i wouldn't be paying and I didn't think you could mess up highlights so bad. I spent another 2 hours there and left with streaky highlights that looked SO ammature. Some pieces were silver and some were orangey blonde. I literally walked out and booked an appointment somewhere else to fix the mess he left me with and the stylist who color corrected me at a different salon even pointed out that he made my hair worse and it looked bad. I should have asked for my money back but after two dreadfully long appointments, I just wanted out of there. I'm sure other stylists there do know what they are doing but my experience was awful, long, and expensive. I figured the least I could do is share this so the next person doesn't lose out on their money. read more

This was my first time at Sarandas & I was unsure exactly what type of haircut I wanted but my hair stylist, Amber, was able to figure out what I wanted. She checked with me before she would cut anything and was very clear exactly how much length she would be cutting. This is very important to me because usually too much is taken off and I leave with much shorter hair than I wanted. She paid attention to details and took her time. I was very happy with everything and that's a big deal because I can be very picky. I usually leave a salon feeling a little unhappy about the haircut and don't like how it was styled. But today I felt great after and I loved how it was Styled! Plus there was no extra charge for styling! :-) The salon has a very cute atmosphere also. read more
