We were in Toronto for the first time with one of our pups and noticed they had a dog menu. We were sold right on that because it's very cute. We made a reservation at the site's recommendation and we're seated outside because another pup was already around. This gave more room for our pup to be himself with us. We ordered the seltzer they have there and I think it's on tap and we're provided water for both us and our dog. They let us know he could eat the steak raw but we did cook it on the grill plate only because he has 700 allergies and we didn't want the hassle. He gobbled up his tray without issue. We both ordered chicken and I ordered the sambal one I think. The only issue I had was that mine was a lot more heat than flavor. Maybe a bit more fish sauce would have provided the salty goodness I was looking for. My spouse liked his as he didn't go for heat lol. I loved the cauliflower bites because they were tangy and crispy. Our server was super great to talk to and loved our dog. I appreciated how often they checked on us. This place is amazing!!! I am a speech language pathologist and have never in my life seen a restaurant offer an AAC communication board. The whole model of this place is inclusivity. There is a sensory room and sensory fidget bins. It is amazing. Also we came here with 20+ skaters in a huge group after an international competition and they accommodated us. The food is bangin! I got the food as gold boneless wings. My friends are all satisfied with their options as well. PLEASE support this restaurant and all that it represents! It means so much to me! read more

Came here just for their pawmenu! Loves places that allows dog to dine and and even have a special menu cater to them! More restaurants should start regarding pets as families and they too deserve a feast! Absolutely love it, so does my boys! Would recommend the kbbq platter for the dogs, and their singapore cereal chicken is good too! Chicken is kind of on the dry side. But would come back just so my boys can have another feast! Wandering down the Danforth, I saw those place. Having seen a lot of Korean dramas on Netflix, I was in the mood to try some Korean cuisine. (Korean dramas ALWAYS have food.) This place has a few things that set it apart from your regular Toronto restaurant. One is that it offers a sensory safe space, with low lighting until 9 pm, chill music, bean bag chairs, and a special room with weighted blankets and a sliding door. Service was efficient and friendly. I got boneless thigh meat with their sweet and spicy sauce. It came with a small side of shredded cabbage and what tasted like French dressing, and a few pieces of pickled vegetables. Maybe turnip and Daikon? It was a HUGE portion. I hadn't eaten much all day, so I finished it, but it was a valiant effort on my part. I got the mid level spicing, and that was perfect for me. Sweet with the right amount of spice. Crispy, thin crunchy batter, not greasy. The pickles worked very well as a palate cleanser, and the Milkis helped to regulate the spice. The other two interesting things about this space are that tipping is discouraged (they price the menu items to mske sure their stagf get a decent dalary), and they have a special menu for dogs. Purchased two orders of the original fried chicken, bone in for take out. Delicious! Super crispy even after getting home. Not overly salty and just mild hint of seasoning. Easy to order online and pick up. Came with a bit of cabbage and pickled radish though I wish there was a bit more as it was quite nice. read more

We came here for our dog but left with a delightful dining experience I'd recommend to everyone! I recently had a conversation and I explained how eating out for me isn't as common as it used to be. I'm definitely a lot more selective when deciding on where and what to eat. When I heard about Sarang Kitchen, I thought they incorporated several unconventional concepts. 1. No tipping. Yes, you read that correctly. This has always been a contentious subject. Having travelled extensively throughout countries that do not have tipping as part of their cultural norm, I appreciated this. 2. Neurodivergent customers are welcome. If you or someone you know requires particular accommodations, they've thought this through. Varied seating, noise cancelling headsets, a dark space with soothing lights, etc. I'm sure you can call ahead to make necessary arrangements. 3. Dog friendly. We're not talking just service dogs, but pet dogs! They have a "Paw Menu" for your furry friend. Make a reservation. Our Sarang Platter was amazing. It came with fried chicken with the choice of 2 sauces. We chose Sweet As (sweet chili) and Choice Bro (soy garlic). There was an entire fried squid with tentacles, tornado fries, a small coleslaw, pickled veg, and 4 extra sauces for dipping. Even though this was advertised as a 2 person platter, I'm quite sure 3 people would've been easily satiated. My dog has a chicken allergy so we ordered the "Korean Bark B Q" minus the chicken broth/sauce. We fed her with small plates/servings at first. We cooked her beef on the cutest tiny grill, then eventually caved and gave her the entire tray at once. Of course we let the grilled beef cool down and she gobbled it all up! 5/5 for an all inclusive dog friendly restaurant! Had an amazing dinner for my dogs 3rd birthday. They were able to accommodate my big German Sheppard amazingly despite her being a little anxious, but adapted quite nicely. We were sat at a booth and the staff were super friendly :) Came here on a Friday evening and it was quite busy. Ordered Korean fried chicken, with two rice to share. For my dog we ordered the BBQ dog platter. It was so cute! You were able to bbq beef for your dog alongside some side veggies :) my dog thoroughly enjoyed her meal and finished it all!! 1. Yes its halal but its a Dog restaurant. There will likely be dogs inside and out, and possible constant barking over ur meal and convo 2. If you are coming with even one other person, they force one person to pay for everyone. There is no option for Bill splitting even if someone else is offering cash. There is no exception to this. It is the strangest and most socially awkward thing I have ever seen in my life at a restaurant. Very backwards. 3. The Choice Bro fried chicken was good. Didn't taste any fruit as described. Came with coleslaw with thousand island dressing LOL 4. Black mushroom truffle oil fries was incredibly oily and it wasn't from the truffle oil. All the fries were like that because I think they were over fried. You could even just tell from the color from the ones that were not even covered in truffle oil or toppings. I wouldn't recommend it. I appreciate the halal inclusivity but dog saliva is considered impure so it seems contradictory to eat in the same place as a dog. Perhaps if they had a no dog seating section, that might be cool for the Muslims to sit comfortably and eat... I recommend that they correct the whole single billing thing. That was completely unnecessary. Imagine if it's you and group going out, or even a whole family, one person would have to foot that bill and everybody else would have to go through the receipt and try to calculate everything and owe the money back, and you would have to hope that your friends are good enough to do so. Very strange. Green P parking available along the street and around the corner there's a Green P lot. If ur a dog owner or ok with dogs dining in ur space, you'll love this. There's the chicken: Golden and glistening, with a crispy outside and a tenderly juicy inside. Flavours are typical korean fried chicken, except for the golden lava (salted egg yoke sauce) which I got and enjoyed. Also, good portion sizes (the platter for one is super filling). There's the service: Welcoming and efficient, with no tips needed as it's included in the price. And then there's the soul: This place aims to create a safe space for neurodivergent people with its sensory rooms and boxes. It also employs people on the spectrum (was told they offer internships and some of their interns eventually end up working there). While this has nothing to do with the food, this story and mission definitely is what coats this place with a loving vibe. Will be back! read more

After one of my fav kfc spots closed this became a better replacement. The chicken is very well made and all the sauces are excellent. One of my complaints of many popular kfc establishments is that the sides are lacking - well not here. They have an array of sides and i am sure they are all excellent. Keeping their inclusion philosophy in mind they also have a vegetarian option for the non meat eaters. The atmosphere is decent i side with lots of places to take photos for those who like to have selfies. The food came at a reasonable time and overall very satisfied with this location. They do pay their employees well and discourage tipping, which is reflected in their slightly higher cost of food. Will revisit soon. read more

We popped in after hearing that they offered a PUP menu and we were NOT disappointed!! Upon arriving there were a few other pups already enjoying their dinning experience- all perfectly perched in their booths. We got seated in the back corner (bean bag chairs and tables) which was perfect for our more timid girls! The pups enjoyed the Korean bbq set and the puppicino (the portions are LARGE) with two 15 lb girls it was perfect to split although they had leftovers (only because I didn't want them to have tummy issues from eating so much human food- they would have gobbled it all down happily)! We shared the cheese corn, the bulgogi fries and the pomegranate salad along with 2 cocktails! The cocktails seemed very light on alcohol- which is fine- super sweet and tasty, maybe a bit too sweet for me but enjoyable! The fries were INSANELY good, they have a coating on that keeps them crispy, I could have had another order! The pomegranate salad was fresh and healthy! The service was so kind, and the team was very conscious of when to bring out the food for the pups etc/ they also checked in to ensure they could interact with the pups. It is a no tipping restaurant where everything is built into the cost of the food and it is as our first time experiencing this- it was such a breathe of fresh air- the team all helped out as needed there was no "oh let me get your server for you" when you need an extra napkin or anything. It was such a pleasant dinning experience all elevated by the fact that our fur babies were able to be apart of it!! I would definitely recommend anyone with a dog who is ok in public give them a try!! And if you don't have a dog but love fries and chicken- you should also give them a try!! read more

Brought my pup here for his 10th birthday after recently seeing it on IG, was expecting the food to be mediocre but they had a great selection of beverages and food items and everything we ordered was amazing. We ordered the kbbq set for our pup and it's it came in the cutest neatly arranged tray and a small fire grill for cooking. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. The only critique is the tables and chairs could be cleaned a little better but otherwise it is such a thought out environment. They have all amenities available such as tampons, pads, pins, hair ties, etc in the bathrooms and even sensory bins for guests to use. read more

Keeping in mind I've spent several decades in the hospitality / food & beverage / restaurant industry there was not much here that we DIDN'T love. The level of service was absolutely top knotch. The quality of food, value, portions, room lighting, table lighting, even the bathrooms - all of it left me actually looking forward to our next visit. And as of this review we've now been there THREE times. That has to tell you something. The only criticism - they need to turn up the room's air temperature. Yes, the weather's been changing and yes, they just took over the place so I won't fault them too hard on that point but they DO need to figure out how to make the place more warm and inviting. read more

Service was super nice at this place. They even have a menu for dogs. The place is quite large and appears they open up the windows for patio seating in the summer. Many fried chicken flavours to choose from, although my favourite were the truffle and garlic fried chicken. A great place for bringing a group of friends to socialize and snack together with drinks. They hire people with disabilities and have a no tipping necessary concept. If you choose to tip it will be divided equally among staff who work there. I definitely would come back because they seem to be forward thinking in a no judgment business. I will likely try their other locations as well. read more

Genuinely such a good experience. This location is nice and spacious, located in Greektown, about a 5 minute walk away from Pape station. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. I think there's a patio but it's closed for the season. It's got big windows and I love how they provide sensory kits and also have a sensory room. They've got bean bags as well. They also discourage tipping. My boyfriend and I came in on Thursday about 20 minutes after opening. It was nice and quiet, not busy. Our server was kind, attentive and helpful. We ended up ordering the Sarang platter with Golden Lava and Snowed Under. The total came out to 70 before tax. Interestingly, for the fried chicken portions, they don't do half flavours, so the Sarang platter is definitely worth your value. The tornado chips were nice and crispy. If you don't like them, you can also sub for fries. The squid was also really good, and in my opinion it wasn't chewy. The Snowed Under chicken was okay, overall it was fried well and the cheese flavour was kind of light. The Golden Lava flavour is a little spicy and has a ginger/lemongrass taste to it. Their homemade sauces were really great, especially the honey mustard. The soy garlic sauce also had a nice garlic flavour but wasn't spicy. This set comes with coleslaw that I think has mayo-ketchup on top, it isn't a spicy sauce. The coleslaw was okay. They gave us free yakult at the end of the meal. Extra things: The bathroom has free sanitary products, as well as hair ties, bobby pins and safety pins which was really nice. There are some gnats though, and the toilet paper was oddly placed.
