I don't drink much, but the mango coronita is a dangerous game changer. It was so refreshing with the beer and absolutely perfect for a hot day. A very popular Korean fried chicken establishment on Yonge Street. We came on a Friday night and was able to grab one of the last booth before the line started forming. In the summer months, the patio looks like a great space to enjoy the meal. I don't remember which flavour of wings we got, however, it was not as spicy as the fried kimchi rice that we ordered. Chicken in the Kitchen has a large patio (with winter heating) and a cozy interior that feels like a wood cabin. They serve fried chicken among other Korean dishes. They have 2, 4, booths, and indoor and heated outdoor seating for about 24-30 inside and another ~24 outside. The service was quick and the food came out about 15-20 min after ordering. We were a bit disappointed by the kimchi fired rice, either due to the size of the pan being too big or the portion too small. There also really wasn't much of kimchi in the fried rice and didn't stay warm/hot long since the pan was cold. The fried chicken (the star) was pretty good, definitely upgrade with the $2 boneless option, to get breast meat (half was juicy half was a bit dry) mixed with dark meat. It comes with peanut toppings and reheats amazingly in the microwave and was still crispy (it dried out in the air fryer). I've been to several Korean Fried chicken places in the GTA and I would say this is one of the better ones in terms of size and taste. Huge disappointment! The day prior to eating here I had purchased some Korean fried chicken from H-Mart down the street and was absolutely mind blown at how ridiculously good it was. So while walking past this place, I figured that if H-mart can do it well, this restaurant dedicated to ONLY friend Chicken should do it better. Unfortunately that was not the case. The chicken was very dry. Not very tasty either. I had to ask for spicy sauce to drown my chicken in order to give it some flavour. On the other hand the fried rice was good. The price for the chicken was high, so I was expecting much better. Can't believe H-Mart did it better. Service was slow and unresponsive. The atmosphere killed it for me, as we were sitting next to a group of adolescent mid thirties guys with young at heart attitudes that were constantly swearing and cursing while they were getting drunk and talking about street racing. The atmosphere was very loud. Not a family or kid friendly place. I think this place is probably geared towards the younger, beer drinking, looking for a place to chill on a Friday night in the neighbourhood crowd. We've waited for 2 hours to be seated separately. This restaurant has been bookmarked forever and I've finally been able to come with a friend. There's a paid parking lot behind the restaurant or it's diagonally across from Finch station so TTC it there and save the parking hassle. It was busy around 7 pm on a Friday night but not too busy since we were able to be seated upon entering the restaurant. Ambitiously, my friend and I ordered the cheese volcano chicken for the 2 of us. The side dishes arrived quickly and we chatted for a bit before the main dish came. Just an FYI that the cheese in the bread bowl loses its ooziness quickly. You have to dig in once the cheese sets since there isn't much pull left. The chicken was fried well, tasty and not dry at all. The rosé sauce on the edge of the plate was so good! I liked dipping pieces of the chicken into it. There was just the tiniest hint of spice in the sauce. We later found out that there were mushrooms, onions and even garlic in the sauce. I did not enjoy the rice cakes in this form. I like them chewy with a spicy gochujang sauce. The spiced potato wedges were good to dip into the cheese. Since we did not finish the dish I took the rest home and it was just as good the next day. Red Hot Chili Peppers Fried Chicken Crispy fried chicken paired with a sweet and spicy sauce, pepper flakes, a few morsels of rice cake (tteok), and a side of seasoned potato wedges. The moment you bite into it you'll know that you've come to the right place. The crispy outside drenched in the gravy, followed by the juicy tenderness of the chicken was decadent! It is quite a heavy dish though, so half a chicken might just be all you need for a snack between 3 to 4 friends if you're just looking for a nice drink and something to munch on. This particular dish does have a slight punch, so if you can't tolerate any spicy, better opt for the other non-spicy options! Brick Cheese Katsu Thought it would just be the Brick Cheese Katsu, but it was an entire meal complete with a portion of rice, potato wedges, and salad! The portion was more than enough for one person. If you're a cheese lover, this dish does not disappoint. I was super excited from the pictures, but reminded myself that pictures, especially when it comes to cheesy things, often disappoint in reality. This dish most definitely did not disappoint! There was a generous helping of cheese, living up to its name of BRICK cheese. There are 3 sauce options (brown, something, and rose). I got the rose sauce and it reminded me of a loaded pasta sauce with cream. YUM! It is most definitely greasy though (I mean, deep fried katsu and cheese? That's oil x oil x oil), so better to share and go for a drink. The complementary pickles did little to help with the oil, unfortunately. Place (3.5/5) : The patio was very lively! I get that small businesses are trying their best, so this would be a great place for those more comfortable with crowds with COVID still being a prominent topic these days. The patio itself was a bit sticky-feeling, but nothing too gross, since it is an establishment where people usually go for fried food and drinks. All in all, a great place to visit in general, but prepare for greasy food, and best if you go for drinks. I'm not a drinker, so the coke I had with it made me feel like I missed out on the grand menu for drinks. There were people drinking a mango slushy with a Coronita that seemed very nice, so definitely check out their drinks menu, too! I came here with my wife for a late afternoon lunch. We love Korean fried chicken and this place didn't disappoint. We ordered the Supreme red hot chilli and Garlic chip fried chicken both orders came relatively quick. Appetizers were pickled turnip and coleslaw. They left us more to desire. Other places provided more generous and tastier ban chan appetizers. The chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside. Both orders came with potato wedges which was nice compliment. It was very soupy, and wouldn't hold to the tteokbokki at all. Most importantly, I feel a little misleaded, when the sauce just tastes like Campbell's tomato soup. Haven't been here since they first open years ago. It looks like they expanded their menu. Patios were all filled and they spaced out tables for dine ins   Three of us ordered half of Gold Fried Chicken sprinkled with shredded cheddar cheese (wish they add more cheese on it) and seasoned potato wedges. It definitely didn't satisfy a cheese lover like me. And we also got half of Supreme Red Hot Chilli chicken with peanut topping, garlic sauce, potato wedges with few pieces of fried rice cake. I couldn't taste the garlic but I do like that it was saucy and has a tint of spiciness. It wasn't just all sweet. I give for spiciness even though both my friends thought it was too spicy.   Both flavours were good - fried chicken was very tender and crispy with a perfect amount of seasoning. Let me start by saying that their heated patio is a miracle and deserves 5 stars on it's own. My friend and I came here for outdoor dining (due to the restrictions) on the coldest day of the year so far (-31 degrees celcius with windchill). It was still chilly enough that we had to wear our jackets, but actually bearable enough to eat, even with the extreme cold warning! Their staff were friendly and very attentive. The waitress always came by to refill our water and we didn't have much trouble flagging a staff member down to order. The food was also delicious, fresh and hot! The fish stew was very flavourful and perfect for the super cold day. The fried chicken was crispy, full of flavour and also very hot and fresh. I was also very impressed with the potato wedges! Parking can be pretty annoying as the closest would be street parking. However, there is metered parking at Finch subway station on weekdays, which is free on weekends. As it's a very short walk away from Finch subway station, it is very accessible by TTC! read more

I got the Cheese Fiery Chicken, which was grilled chicken chunks smothered in a spicy sauce and lots of mozzarella. The chicken was really dry and the cook from piece to piece was inconsistent.
