Not really my type of place. I prefer to sit down and chat with the people I'm with or with the bartenders. The music level was way too loud. Not having any food is a bit of a bummer. Definitely for a younger generation. It's a dive bar you have to go to if you're into that sort of thing. If you go earlier in the day and sit outside it's not too bad. read more

Update , used to be a car garage where they worked on cars back in the day. Current owners turned it into what it is now. Very cool "dive bar" with laid back atmosphere. Just wish we had something like it in KC !! Will return!!! read more

Cool corner place with Guinness on tap. You can choose between cool dark A/C inside or sunny patio outside. Good beer selection. Cute female bartenders. $1 charge for credit cards is a bother, but on a $50 bar charge it's fine. Lots of street parking on the weekend. I went back to this place 7 months after my last review and there has been no change. Sardine can is a very unprofessional place to be. The staff are mostly young, immature people who have no concept of customer service, and will practically be nude for certain events or holidays. The security has no self control and the first thing they do is get handsy with anyone they decide to kick out for whatever reason, and they also instigate issues to have a reason to kick someone out which makes it a very dangerous place to be. The worst part is, if someone makes a threat to you, the security won't even bother protecting you or escorting the other person out, they will instigate the situation. This is a horrible, garbage, sexualized, dangerous place to go. read more

If you have kids, DO NOT COME HERE. I came here with my family to see live music and left to stop at another place with my little sister until I had to leave and drop my little sister back off with my parents so she isn't LEFT ON THE STREET UNSUPERVISED. When we came back, the security followed me and dragged me back out because I'm not 21. I explained my situation to them but they did not care. I brought even brought a full untouched cup of corn that got spilled everywhere that I payed $4 for. I'm lucky that my dad noticed the commotion and was able to meet me outside and confront the guy that dragged me out, so I wasn't stranded. But my dad got kicked out as for defending me. Someone needs to do something about the security here. They were incredibly rude and look for any excuse to abuse their power as security guards read more

I'm giving this place four stars, not because of the quality of beverage, but rather precisely because of the service. I was in GB last night for a friend's very small bachelor gathering. There were only five of us, but we spent a few hundred dollars at the bar, and enjoyed the live music, took shots, and had a good time- a few life-long friends catching up. My rating comes from the fact that, at bar time, whoever the bartender was who closed the bar (a middle-aged guy), offered to get us a sober ride home when Uber was unavailable. It was incredibly thoughtful, and IMO, the definition of caring about the safety of your customers. The next time I am in GB, I'll make sure to stop in here for a musty can of PBR, and just enjoy knowing that these people care about first-time customers. read more

The sardine can is literally what it's name implies. The small bar is a pretty happening place which caters to customers from college age to the over 50 set. It's also one of the few places in Green Bay with a tiki bar, complete with porch swings. Inside the walls are lined with pictures and other memorabilia. If your looking for a dive bar with a patio... This could be your hang out. read more

This bar has always been my go to spot! The bartenders are friendly. (Cait) Is so good at what she does. She turned my frown upside down with whole hearted conversation and one of there famous flabongo shots! This is always a happening place. Good for a few or a all nighter. read more

Why is this bar called the Sardine Can? It has a faux-wall built by the owner that expands and contracts depending on how busy the crowd is. I pictured this place being a complete dive bar, but it's actually pretty nice. It's decorated by eclectic findings on the walls (including a shark) with a nice, fairly large patio. Definitely a stop in GB that you won't forget. read more

I love going here on Wednesday night after the farmers market. It gets crowded but it's a fun place that books fun bands.

Sardine Can, "Always Packed" - how can you not like this place with a name like that! And this place was packed! We grabbed a few drinks here before heading to the Farmer's Market. This was a super casual, chill outdoor bar. No frills, very divey. Great live band playing. The crowd seemed to be a bit older. Everyone was having a great time, even bartenders getting into the fun. There's no attitude here. But just a heads up... there wasn't a whole lot of diversity either... I think I may have been the only non-white person in the bar! read more

A group of friends and I visited this establishment Wednesday nov 9 in the evening. The bartender serving us was polite to his guests except for my friend who happens to be African American. When serving this individual in particular, the barkeep insisted that the only way he would be served shots was by lapping them out of the barkeeps hands. I am appalled and disturbed by this gesture. Absolutely disgusting and distasteful. Will not return and spread my story to the entire GB area. read more

I've walked past this place almost every time I go to the farmers market and wanted to stop by because the live music and the outdoor area looks like a blast. Last night we met friends for drinks and had a blast jamming to the live music! Drinks are affordable and served in plastic. Service was quick despite being super busy. Middle aged crowd mostly. My only complaint is that I was breathing in a lot of cigarette smoke outside. But the live music was worth it! read more

I went once. My hubby's birthday coincides with a national holiday and he wanted to go for a drink. It was the only bar that we could find that was open. The outside "tiki bar" was open. I could get PBR, and literally nothing else to drink. They didn't have gin, they didn't have any beer I could think of to ask for. I went to the bathroom to check my face. The women's toilet was stopped up and overflowing. The bathroom didn't have a mirror in it. Creepy, gross, not interested in going there ever again. read more

It's a Green Bay bar what else do you need to know, quite a bit more upscale than the other Broadway St. bars. Some nights there is live music usually a Friday or Saturday the crowd on the nights runs from college kids to 30 somethings mostly the trendy yuppie types, the girls are a bit slutty but you will have to put some work in on them and with the 2 to 5 dollar drinks it doesn't really cost that much. So if you are looking for a decent bar for the weekend this place can work for that. read more

I visited The Sardine Can with friends to bring in the New Year. Ordered 4 beer (which was expensive, btw), and I too was given only Miller Lite. After speaking to the bar manager about this, he tried telling us that all of the beers were different--clearly they weren't. (For one, Spotted Cow is not "clear" like Miller Lite...) I used to enjoy stopping here when I visited GB, but I will not come back! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! PS-While yelp states they take Credit Cards-they don't. read more

GOOD LUCK if you are a female and want to get service -- the bra-less bartenders only cater to every male before they will even look in your direction!! To the bra-less bartenders... absolutely make money & flaunt it now when you are young & pretty but be respectful to EVERYONE & here's a tip... listen to your customers -- I waited 40+ minuets to get anyone's attention to pay our bar tab and although I asked 4 times to speak to a manager since we needed to add additional beers, bra-less bartender walked off and ran my company credit card; when I told her I needed her to add 30 additional beers to my tab, she yelled at me and said she had a million other people to help and I was not a priority - super pissed my company policy states we need to tip 20% since this bartender did not deserve it . To the owner/manager of this bar... on busy nights you are obviously understaffed OR over capacity... you have a good thing going but I will never work a promotion at your establishment again... please tell your beer distributor to stop scheduling promos since your staff CLEARLY does not want us there ... other area bars are very accommodating & respectful to us & I'm sure they will take your promo hours. read more

This is a bar where everyone is having a good time all the time. There's some unique decorations all over the walls. They have a great outside bar and will have bands play all the time during the summer. They finally got tapped beer but was a little expensive for putting it in a plastic cup. Nevertheless, I still like coming here and like bringing friends from out of town. read more

Only go here if you like Miller Lite. They hook up all their taps to Miller Lite and sell them as other micros. We called them on it and they refused to rectify the situation. Same beer out of every tap. Ordered spotted cow and honey Weiss and got Miller Lite and got charged for the others. Avoid this dishonest place. read more
