Overall, I left feeling ripped off and under appreciated. I understand there is a "rush" fee, but a week to begin with is absurd. I had inspo of what I wanted in a dress, I received a text about 5 days before my appointment to confirm and also to send any inspo for dresses that I had. My appointment was on a Saturday afternoon, and the St Pete area is pretty busy on the weekends but surprisingly I had no issues finding parking. We were greeted right away by Lauren, we sat and talked about how my husband and I met and what I was looking for in a dress and my price range. She had already pulled some dresses based on the inspo pictures I sent over, and then I also perused the racks to pick some items I wanted to try on as well. I tried on 4 dresses, but I knew the 2nd dress I tried on was the one the moment I put it on. This was one of the dresses Lauren had already pulled for me. We discussed alteration potential, and she referred me to their alterations place that does great work, I was able to get in that following Tuesday morning for alterations without any issues. Lauren helped me find EXACTLY what I wanted in a wedding dress and within my price range - the effort she put in and how great she was during our appointment just made everything feel so smooth and seamless. This was one of the bigger stressors on my wedding to-do list and I'm just super grateful that it ended up being one of the easiest things to check off of my list - and I owe a great deal of that ease to Lauren and The Dressing Room St Pete. This is after the second try, mind you. After the first try there were white spots around the rim and part of the finish was peeling. They sent it off again and I am afraid to let them have a third go at it. It must be said, however, they do not clean the leather themselves. They send it out to a third-party. The reason I am reviewing this company for a third-party cleaning is because they contract that third-party. If you don't clean something yourself whoever you send it to had better be the best in the business. The company they use to clean leather is absolutely not the best in the business. So here's the skinny: The good: Super friendly staff. They are open late. They have a wide variety of tuxedo rentals and formalwear rentals. The bad: They do not clean everything themselves and their contractor is not the best. The skinny: While I have not used them for dry cleaning or anything other than the leather service, I would actually go back to them if I had something that needed dry cleaning. My husband is in the Army and when he gets here I do plan on trying them out on one of his uniforms.
