I was assured by The female at the desk that this would be no problem. I arrived on time each day and prepared for flight training. I received 2.9 hours of training and then I was informed they had pre-booked charters and would not be able to accommodate me the rest of those hours. I spoke with the lady at the front desk about this situation and we agreed that I would be billed only for the hours received. I received a partial refund and then within two hours the refund was taken back out of my account and I received a text message from the company that stated the owner didn't feel comfortable giving me a partial refund. This company was fully aware of my situation and did not honor their word. This company took my money under false pretenses, and payment was made for services NOT RENDERED!!!! I immediately called my credit card company and explain the situation and started a dispute. Anyone looking to get there sea plane ratings I would advise from my experience do not use this company. They are not a reputable company and they lack honesty and integrity. Next day I went to Jack Brown's seaplane base in winter haven Florida I was amazed and I found the staff was amazing and most of all had integrity. After two hours of flight time the Cfi was ready to sign me off, but we could not get a DPE that day and I was flying out the next morning. I found Jack Brown's Sea Plane base to be everything that you could ever ask for in a company for Sea Plane operation. I will be going back to Jack Brown's to fly again in the future highly recommend Jack Brown.

Such an amazing experience!…read more My dear friend and I are photographers and travel bloggers from California, and wanted to experience a flight at sunset. It was easy to book less than a week in advance. Not possible in LA or SF! Garry was in constant contact with us, and confirmed our flight in a quick and efficient manner. Since we have flown over San Francisco and Los Angeles with the doors off, we wanted to have that advantage point as well on this flight. Garry was happy to oblige and removed all the doors for us, giving us freedom to photograph and lean out (in a safe manner, while belted into the helicopter!) Garry is such a friendly gentleman- putting us at ease with his knowledge and experience! The flight was absolutely perfect and a dream in every way. We ventured over Cocoa Beach, the banana river, the pier, and Port Canaveral. The sky was absolutely stunning! The whole experience at Beachside Helicopters was absolutely amazing from the initial contact to post flight! Could not have wished for a better time! Can't wait for our next flight up! This particular company has two locations operating in Orlando. I stopped by the northern location with a plan to take the Disney parks tour that I had seen online. I found that the pricing structure was designed based on flight time. This means that, since those parks are close to the southern location, it is cheaper to drive to that location and fly out of there, the southern location. I did just that and drove to the southern location. The store is located near the intersection of Vineland and Regency Center Drive. The office was immaculate and nice. You sign a waiver and they explain the safety briefing. You need at least 2 people or you have to wait for another person unless you want to pay for both seats. As I said I took the Disney package tour which gives you a great view of all the Disney parks from there. This location is the best place to take this tour for the decreased price. If you want to see the northern sights I would suggest going to the northern location as you will get more for your flight time. The pilot was very friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. The flight was about 15 minutes. It was excellent and along the route, the pilot did a great job of pointing out the various sights and answering my questions. The view is wonderful and the flight was fun. I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants a unique once-in-a-lifetime event.

I thought that Dad and…read moreI would take two gliders in the same plane, and was dismayed to learn that we would not- we each had to wait while the other was up. Luckily, the facility was very pleasant to wait in, and the employees I spoke to were friendly and encouraging (I am also a student pilot). However, the actual glider flight left something to be desired. Each flight lasted approximately 30 minutes, and both mine and my Father's flights consisted of recycled spoken material, an unwillingness to give us the controls and tedious circling looking for thermals. I chose to go the highest we could, and not once did the instructor let us do anything exciting or give me the controls for even a fraction of a second. Flying and weather will always be variable. But even the lady at the front desk was surprised about my flight. In addition, my 60 year old father and myself were forced to walk from the glider to the building multiple times in the hot Florida sun, despite the presence of a golf cart. They just did not feel like moving the golf cart around multiple times. On a positive note, the grounds and facility are beautiful. They even did an entry in my Glider log-book, for about .6 hrs of flight. I feel guilty with that entry though- I absolutely did not learn a thing. It was clear my instructor was incredible knowledgeable- he was just not interested in sharing any of it. I think they really want to do glider add-ons, and do not enjoy the short single flights that many people come here for. I would consider coming here for a glider add-on since they have a room availible on the premises for approx 35$. That's a great deal! On a final note, if they want to just do glider add-ons, just don't offer an intro flight! If not, please embrace the intro flights. Instead of a cold, sterile and unexciting instructor/flight, make it an enjoyable experience. Even one loop or lazy-8, or even a turn steeper than 30 degrees would have changed my opinion of my flight. Embrace the fun that gliders can be, and put a pilot in the cockpit who actually wants to be there and talk to people.
