It's great to go point to point with no worries about parking, etc. The buses are air-conditioned, the boats have air-conditioned areas on the inside and the monorails have air conditioning. Fun and cool ways to travel - the kids see them as a ride... And they are! And not to forget, there's also the skyliner which has been added to Disney in the last few years. It's not air conditioned, but it has slatted vents at the top of the car that offer good air movement as the car sails through the air.

I'm sure it can get crazy at peak times. Our experience with the Disney World bus system is that it's reliable. The Skyliner is not. Especially during high winds or lightning storms. Just make sure you check the board on the way to your bus stop. The resort and park stops are all numbered. It's very organized. The Coronado Springs bus takes you to 4 stops. The Gran Destino Tower is usually the last stop. It's as expected coming from that direction. It's a nice and cool bus ride, and totally beats trying to find a parking space. It's a great service!

Uber was easily about to take us to the front door for pick up and drop off. The monorail is easy to find from the lobby - a quick walk or elevator upstairs and a small walk to the station. Employees are there to monitor traffic and we had no issue with their being space to ride. Each time we were riding we also had seats.

Of the many iconic attractions at Walt Disney World, a top one is the Monorail which is an…read moreelevated, single track form of transportation. It first premiered at Disneyland before opening with the rest of the Disney World resort in 1971. Walt Disney wanted the Monorail to be more than just an attraction, he viewed it as an integral part of his utopian Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow (EPCOT). Disney saw the Monorail as a way to interconnect the cities of the future. While Walt Disney's utopian city never came to pass, the Monorail is still running today. The nearly three-mile Monorail takes guests between Magic Kingdom guest parking and the Transportation and Ticket Center. It also goes between three resorts along the Seven Seas Lagoon: the Grand Floridian, the Polynesian, and the Contemporary. The Grand Floridian opened in 1088 at which time the Monorail station was added. You do not have to be a resort guest or going to the parks to ride the monorail. You can park at any of the hotels and go for a ride on the loop. There is a second Monorail route that takes you from ticketing to Epcot. I recently hopped on the monorail to travel to the Grand Floridian to view the annual giant gingerbread house. When I arrived at the Grand Floridian they did not have any guest parking. I drove to the Polynesian which is the next hotel over and from there it was only one quick stop to the Grand Floridian. The Grand Floridian Monorail stop is very elegant as befitting the most expensive Disney hotel. You are let out on the hotel's second floor. If you are entering back into the monorail service area, you will have to go through security first. While it was only one stop to the Grand Floridian, to get back I had to ride the entire loop to the Polynesian. All of the cars were filled so that meant standing room only. I did get to catch the fireworks over the Magic Kingdom. They used to be nightly but since Covid it is only only select nights. Something else I missed was being able to ride in the first Monorail car with the conductor. After a couple of accidents they stopped the practice of letting guests up there. Nevertheless sitting or standing it is always fun to ride the Monorail and this the fanciest station on the loop.

There's security, bag scanning, and the like as you enter the resort and leave it to get on the monorail. You enter the resort and if you go towards the right, you'll encounter a PhotoPass spot that often has Cinderella's shoe as a prop and then you're at their gift shop, which was perfect because we were on the hunt for PINS! This gift shop definitely had a few pins and merch that I hadn't seen yet at other spots and didn't see again throughout all the other places we went, so highly recommend!

One way around having to pay the astronomical parking fee is to park at Downtown Disney and take one of their buses to one of their Resorts and then head to your Disney Park of choice. If you're heading to Magic Kingdom or Epcot, a good choice is to take a bus going to the Contemporary Resort because you can then take the monorail. If you're heading to Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom, a good choice would be Port Orleans. The buses at Marketplace at Downtown Disney do not start running until noon. If you want to get to a Park earlier than that, park at Pleasure Island (West Side) and you can catch at bus earlier. There are signs marked with which stop number to wait at for the bus you want. There are also Cast Members around to answer questions and help get you where you are wanting to be. The Disney bus transportation is great. The buses are comfortable and air conditioned. The drivers are safe and are generally very nice and friendly. Keep in mind the buses aren't going to go directly from the Marketplace to the end destination. They often have to stop at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach and they will often have to stop at another resort as well. So just sit back and relax. There are times when the buses get extremely packed. It depends on the time of year, the time of day, and the resort you are staying at. The "economy" resorts are usually always packed and sometimes you may have to wait for a second bus to come because the first one may fill up. The buses do run very frequently. On average, you'll never have to wait more than 20 minutes for a bus, but sometimes, I see buses heading to the same place show up within minutes of one another. One thing I do hate is that here at the Marketplace they have taken out the benches, so now you have to stand and wait for the buses. They are still doing construction in the area, so I'm hoping they are going to be putting the benches back! Finally, I'd just like to remind all you men to have manners. If you see an elderly person, a pregnant woman, a mother holding a sleeping toddler, etc., then please, please, please, get your tail up and give the person your seat so they don't have to stand! I get so damn irritated on these buses because I see perfectly healthy young men sitting on their lazy, rude a$$es while some poor mother is holding a sleeping child in one arm and trying to hold on to the bus straps with her other hand. So, for goodness sakes, do the right thing!!

Parking is free if you have a rsvp with the restaurants and the security guys check the list if you happen to stop by unless you tell them you are doing a walk in I guess. Beaches and Cream have the best - Grilled items such as Grilled cheese, Reuben Sandwiches, French Dip, Patty Melt and the Burgers. Its just delicious. The Onion rings / Fries are also delicious. My favorite dessert is the No Way Jose. Its a sundae filled with gooey hot chocolate and Peanut butter. Some just go for desserts here especially the Famous Kitchen Sink. Service here is decent - It's disney so expect top tier service. Ale & Compass have by far the best Shrimp & Grits. It's my go to order here and along with the Continental Enhancement in which a buffet option is added to your meal. Be mindful that the "juices" have no refills unless you pay another charge. The sodas are free refills. They serve mickey shaped waffles here.

There was a large king size bed, sofa, mini fridge, sink, closet, bathroom, and balcony. The convenience of being able to walk to Epcot was the reason why we chose this Disney hotel. We didn't have to deal with the hassle and wait of sky gondolas and boats, shuttles/taxis, etc. We simply got to walk outside of our hotel, and within minutes we were at the International Gateway of Epcot. As soon as you walk into Epcot, you're in France and you can ride the Ratatouille ride. There is enough food and entertainment within minutes if you are not planning to go to any of the amusement parks. Beaches and Cream is a convenient little diner only a few minutes walk away over at the sister Beach Club Resort, and they have everything you could need to feed a family - ice cream, burgers, fries, etc. The pools are wonderful. The best toddler pool we've been to so far is here. There's a large, shallow pool with faux sand and beach perfect for little toddlers. Our kids loved the pool, possibly more than Epcot. There are water slides, pools for adults, etc. And you can walk or take the ferry across the little lake to The Boardwalk for more shopping and food. Overall we would stay here again for the convenience, which is key when traveling with littles. On our travel days where the days were too short for amusement parks, we had ample things to do without requiring a car. Simply for convenience and good accommodations, we would stay here again.

The All-Star Sports Resort is the first resort in the All Star Resort area so you won't miss it. Checking in was very easy and if you can, I highly suggest you use the MDE app. We were able to check in the we before, add any room preferences, and add if we were celebrating anything. I added our anniversary and when we got to the room, the tv announced our arrival with a "Happy Anniversary" message with towels shaped like a Mickey. The rooms are the same on all 3 properties and were pretty quiet despite the number of people we saw in the pool on a Saturday evening. The rooms were very clean and fully stocked with our favorite Sea Salt bath products. We brought water but we also wanted a soda so we went to a machine, coke of course, and the bottles were $5.50. It is what it is. We also visited the food court and they have a wide variety of food options. My babe grabbed a chili-cheese foot long hot dog with fries where I just got a turkey and cheese sando. Food was really tasty. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.
