And you can tell the donuts are baked fresh daily as you can smell them right as you walk in. They have such a great selection of flavors, they have donuts, fritters, and they bake fresh crossaints on the weekends, they can stuff your donut with your pick of cream. It's so hard to pick out what you want because you have so many options. The donuts are always fresh and pillowy when you bite in to them. Not too sweet, just right. My favorite are the cinnamon roll donuts, they have just the right amount of cinnamon and are worth the try. I've been eyeing their apple fritter and my best friend has told me they are amazing, so maybe I'll give that a go on my next visit! Their classic clown cookies are a must, super nostalgic and just as good as you remember. And the cutie puppy cake? Absolutely adorable and tasted just as good as it looked. You can tell they really take pride in what they make. On top of all that, their prices are really reasonable, especially for the quality you get. came looking for ice creams but they've moved across the country? ...town? ...the street?…read more...somewhere. so I guess it's baked goods! with the benefit of not having to hurry home before it melts which was especially good because I wound up in conversation with a lovely family who were enjoying the day outside... was greeted warmly and briefed on the operation: opened a few years back when the ice cream place moved across the street; everything on the right in the free range case is gluten free and it's literally every item on the dance card not just select items or limited varieties... the "regular" items are on a whole nother display table to keep the glutens at arms length. not that I'm intolerant but some people are to varying degrees so in a selfless act I sampled the coffee cake and a slab of banana stuff and didn't notice any weirdness relative to the standard and customary varieties so good on the bakers! :-)

One thing I totally love about this particular place is that they always have my husband's favorite, key lime pie. They seem to make small tarts pretty regularly but it's usually enough. I ordered an entire pie for his birthday last year and it was a bit pricey (around $30-$35) but delicious and exactly what he always wants. I've also had scones from here and they are my favorite in the area, not dry and tasteless but the perfect consistency and just the right amount of flavor. The staff is always friendly, and I love that they are open on Sunday which is usually a quiet, stroll and town kinda day. I wish I had pictures but the goods always go too fast!
