Got a great haircut on the same day I called for the appointment. Will definitely go back.

It's been about a week since I got a haircut here by Valerie. I'm not too sure how I feel about it honestly. At first it looked good maybe because it was blow dried and I couldn't really see the cut. But now that I've styled it in all the different ways I style my hair I'm not liking my cut at all. There is random long strands of hair that don't flow at all with what I asked for, long layers but with framing in the front. Looking back at the appt I wish she would've asked if I liked it before blowdrying it or if I wanted more layers or something of that nature. She was kind but I don't think she knew how to cut my hair she said my hair didn't flow like it should because of the frizz. I've actually never had a stylist say that to me. The hair salon is lively, clean and loud music lots going on but I would recommend maybe just be specific with the person you book. read more

The Sassy Do's I go to is in Upland. Someone in the shop always greets customers. The vibe is friendly-focused, as each stylist gives their attention to their clients. When in the chair, it's like the client is in a comfortable, bubble, surrounded by conversation, music, and hair-dryers. Kirsten has been coloring and cutting my hair for a few years now. Every time I go in, I feel as though I'm placing my head in the hands of an artist. There's always that moment of unveiling the magic, where we both give a gasp of delight at the magical transformation. Kirsten listens carefully, offering her professional input where needed. She's realistic about my hair - what it can take and its limits - so that I leave with "healthier" feeling hair than the limp, washed out style I bring in. Through and through an artist, yet grounded in what will work, she's willing to go a bit more technical, a bit more "let's find out!" always with amazing results. I have had trust issues with anyone cutting my hair due to bad experiences in the past with other hairstylist and because of that I hadn't gotten my hair cut in years by a professional. She gave me so much advice on what to do with my hair, how to style it, what to put in it, what not to do so it won't lead to breakage. She listened me. I loved it. It was refreshing! I called and spoke with the manager and told her what the situation was. She told me she'd speak to the owner, Marissa. To preface, the reason I got my hair dyed was because I had an event today. My hair was dyed Thursday. My bf surprised me with an appointment because I had been talking about coming to get my hair done here because of the amazing reviews. When I sat on the chair, Lesley was fully aware I had an event today without me ever telling her what brought me there, so she knew how important this was to me. She left my hairline completely stained, told me it would come out after my second wash. It hasn't, and I have applied more than 3 rounds of shampoo at this point. The hair stylists there recommended I put NAIL POLISH REMOVER on my hair and face to remove the stains and patches. I had made them aware at the salon I was allergic to rubbing alcohol. Their solution was to "fix" it by applying a clarifying shampoo, 7 DAYS LATER. My event was today. There was no solution at that point. So no Marisa, there was not a solution provided to me, you did nothing to accommodate the fact that your stylist did not give me what I paid for, and customers should know who to and not to give their hard working money to. read more

Haven't had my haircut and colored in a very long time. I decided to go to sassy do's and have a cut and color I went from long hair to really short hair and I was pretty nervous about it , Cali C cut my hair really short and but very cute. I am very happy with my haircut and the color came out beautiful also. I highly recommend Sassy do and will definitely be going back to keep my cute hairstyle up. Thank you for a pleasant experience. Ok so I went in for hair extensions in December 2024 with Jeanette. She charged me close to $900. She said she charged $250 to move the extensions up (the maintenance). When she finished and I paid she said she would give me a 20% discount on my next visit. Ok cool. A few weeks after I got the extensions, two of the tapes in were showing alot and I had to put a Bobby pin to hold it. Idk what glue she uses it's probably not a good one because that shouldn't have happened. It wasn't even a month yet. Then I booked an appointment to move the extensions up on march 5, 2025. The did the service and when i was going to pay she charged me $350.00. I was a bit confused because she said $250 at first. I asked her why $350 and if her prices had changed. She said "oh it's because I took them off and then I put them back on and the tape" she didn't even know what to say, but she was supposed to charge me $250 for exactly what she said. So idk where the $100 extra were for.. I honestly believe Jeanette needed the extra money that week since it was rent week I honestly think she wanted to recover some money or needed money for something and she took advantage of me and over charged me. I am upset because the glue she uses is obviously not the best one tape in fell out the other day and a few are sticking out. I was going to go to get those fixed but I didn't go because I don't want her overcharging me to fix a few tape ins. I have asked a few other hair stylists and they gave me a very reasonable price. One said $90 the other one $150 and I think that is a more reasonable price. I don't think the maintenance is a $350 job. I think Jeanette is taking advantage of her clients read more
