Wow! What a great price for a great hair cut and wash. I had so much hair on my hair, my head was starting to tilt. Joly the owner and stylist is who you want to ask for. She is always smiling so you can't miss her! So the cost was $21 bucks for an experienced stylist, what a deal. I highly recommend this spot and I have been coming since the lift of COVID, which is 2 years and have very pleased. Also, a great pizza place spot and ice cream joint next door if the hair saloon is busy and have you wait a little. Walks-Ins are first come, first service. Also I do not personally make reservations because I patiently wait around at these places close by. Or you can wait in their lobby chairs and text on your cell or watch videos on your IPad. More importantly Joly does have many female clients which Joly dedicates time to make their styles are perfect and pretty. She is very passionate about this. I have seen this first hand! I've been coming here for about 10 + years. They have all done my hair. Jolie has done it the most and most recently did balayage. It came out beautifully. I posted a before and after. I have never lightened my hair before and it has held up pretty well. It's been about 6 weeks or a bit more I need to come in for my roots and a trim on the ends but my hair feels good. I have been using leave in conditioner for bleached hair to make sure it doesn't dry out as all bleached hair would if you don't do that. My hair still feels very soft. I used to bring my son when he was little around 5 years old till he was about 10 or 11 now he wanted to start going to a barber because he's a big kid. But he loved coming here. My boyfriend found this salon while looking for a hair salon to do my hair for my birthday. Before comming here we went to super cuts an charger 350 with no cut and only to do a balayage. When he came to this salon the lady Jolie who is super sweet and nice an funny . She charged my boyfriend 250$. She cut my hair ,washed it , did treatment an was honest about the outcome of my hair . I had multiple different colors in my hair comming in: I had box dye hair colors in my hair . From red , blond , silver , blue ,green etc . When she seen me I came in with all black hair ,with blond , red and purple on it , an I asked her to do a balayage and showed a picture of the hair color I wanted done . Other people would of just said yes to take my boyfriend money an do the bare minimum, but she was honest an explained everything . She told me that I will need 3 session to get to what I wanted . Do not go to this salon. My hair was so healthy before i went here. I asked for ash blonde light brown hair. Jodie said if i wanted to get the color I wanted I had to let the bleach sit in my hair. She left the bleach sitting in my hair for almost 30 minutes!! My scalp was burning! Now my hair is completely damaged breaking off lost all of its curl this was almost 2 months ago and my hair has never been so bad my whole life I am completely devastated! I knew I should have let the bleach sit in my hair but she said you have to leave it on if you want the color you want! Now my hair is fried thin and is breaking off more more each day! BEWARE!!! This review is to WARN you from this "Paul Mitchell" focus salon. The owner Jolie, Julie recently did mine and my friends hair, and we both need to visit another salon to correct her mistakes. My appointment was at 3:30 which I arrived on time only to find out she triple booked and was working on 2 other persons hair during my appointment time. I previously visited the Aveda salons and was happy with my hair color- highlights and light brown tone. I explained to her that I wanted to lighten up my hair for the summer and even showed her a picture of what I wanted. She said ok, have a seat and one hour later started by applying a warm neutral dark blonde base in the bottom layers of my hair. (I am naturally very dark brunette). She rinsed off the color and had me sit under the dryer for an hour while she finished the other 2 customers hair. When she began weaving my hair I noticed the in-between highlight color was darker than the color I currently had on my hair. I stopped her and said wait, your darkening my hair... I want to make sure I go lighter. She said no its just the dye, that is not the final color of your hair. When she rinsed off my hair It was so much noticeably darker. I was visibly upset and told her, you covered up so many of my highlights with the darker shade.... I just wanted a touch up to the current ones I already had. She said, no you can not touch up highlights, you have to re-weave new ones. I told her, I've had my hair with highlights for years, and they are always able to touch op the color. So we were arguing for 45 minutes and she said there was no way my hair color could be lighter and finally another salon worker stepped in and had to tell her boss how to correct my hair. She re-weaved blonde over the bottom dark base and over all of my highlights. I could see she was visibly upset. THE HORRIBLE PART: When my hair was ready to rinse, she pulled the foil very hard from my head, and I know you have to be gentle with processed hair, it will break! Then when it was rinsed off she took a fine tooth comb and ran it through my hair and I noticed a big chunk of my hair on the comb and I asked her why are you combing my hair like that it is falling off!! She then started round brushing and blow drying my hair without drying by itself first.... Constantly pulling on it. I was so upset. My head is still sore 2 days later. I didn't wanna keep arguing and she had brought her husband over as to intimidate me or something. Not professional. Then end result looked okay, better than the first try............. SIX HOURS LATER. I didn't leave the salon till 9:30 PM. Not worth the $135 I paid This salon is a joke!! Consumers beware. I wonder if I could complain to the BBB or something. read more
