I try to support local businesses. I've been to Sassy Nails a couple of times for a simple fill and pedicure. However, I was disappointed today. My appointment was at 6pm and I arrived a little earlier per our discussion on the phone. I was patient and waited until 6:45pm. I still did not receive any service. Keep in mind they close at 7pm. They absolutely slayed my nails. To be honest every time I get full sets I get styles that I didn't want or they just didn't look good. Sassy nails has been the nail salon that I have been going to since I have been in the Central Valley . They are clean , friendly , and are just overall great ! I always go in with a photo for inspiration that I find on Pinterest and every time they have exceed my expectations! The pricing is great as well ! I have been to another nail salon in Modesto and they charged me $80+ dollars doe a similar set ! Here at sassy nails they only charged $55 which included the all ombré nails and nail design on my ring finger , which is a great deal to me . Julie is the owner here and she is such a wonderful and sweet person and the staff are all so friendly . Yin did this ombré set and I will be coming back to her for all future appointments. I called on a Friday knowing they would be busy. At 3:18 they said to come in an hour. When I got there a 4:15 they said I was supposed to be here at 4 so they game my spot away but to come back at 5:30. They had me, my mom and my 7 year old sister wait in the pedicure chair when they finally got to us at 5:55. They were done within 30 min. They charged us $115 and I left $5 tip for each of them. Won't be returning as the nail tech clearly was laughing at me after asking her something and she turned to laugh and say things in a foreign language. i just moved to the central valley and i have been eager to find a new nail salon that's clean, efficient, and reasonably priced. my mom came to visit and one of our "things" is getting our nails done! My boyfriends mom got her wedding nails done here and recommended that we try it out during her visit. Well, we have been here twice now, and twice in one month at that! AND we'll be coming back bi-weekly for regular services! I got gel the first time, as did my mom, and neither of ours chipped until a day before our appointments. That's 13 days of beautiful nails :-) I got a full set of acrylics, and they came out beautifully. the gals there were quick, professional, and very good at replicating an inspiration photo! Had my nails done with Karen 5 days ago!!! I originally had gone in to just get a mani and my nails painted but Karen kept saying that the nail polish wouldn't last and that this shellac or gel whatever it is would last up to 2 weeks! Which is completely BS! By Monday I had the white tips on 2 of my left hand completely lifting! I had to go back in on Tuesday and have Julie fix my nail however I had to return again!! Because she hadn't done it right and my nail was not completely dried. HANNAH fixed my two nails on my left and they look great they're flat and smooth unlike the nails that Karen did the white tip is extremely thick and that is the reason they are lifting and breaking off! I'm with the "lady at the end" and she doesn't greet me just sets up and starts filing I notice she's filing a lot, and my nails are getting thinner I'm like ok that's ok also she is reusing her file they reuse files and pumes files on feet!! Unsanitary. She pulls out the gel supplies and I said no I'm just doing a regular mani. There's all kinds of dust on my hand and nails and she just proceeds to paint them. She barely put lotion on my wrist and did a fake massage especially because I had dust on them. I'm like whatever I don't even care they're only for pictures. She was rude, unprofessional and unsanitary. 3 days later my nails are horrible looking the paint job inconsistent. And because she filed them so thin my thumb and middle finger cracked on the side and I had to cut them. read more

I would personally give this place a 3.5 rather than a 4 due to customer service. Whoever runs their Instagram was very nice and booking an appointment was simple. We got there right on time and we were seated right away which was great. Both of the ladies who did my bf and I's pedicures were not friendly, and that's something I look for when getting manis and pedis. If that doesn't bother you then it won't be an issue at all. Their work was good. My nails look good, they are a bit bumpy to the touch, but can't see. She also seemed to get frustrated when I asked her for a 3rd coat since it was see through and the lady who did my toes automatically did 3 coats. . I liked how fast she was able to get my fill done. I would've preferred that they use new tools. My normal nail place I go to opens a new pack of materials for each customer which I like, this place it appeared used the same ones for multiple customers which can be unsanitary. All in all I would come back if in a bind again. It was $120 for my pedi with gel + gel removal, my boyfriends pedi, and my fill. I have been to sassy nails before. And it never really prompted me to leave a good or bad reviews. Because their service is "okay". They do acknowledge you when you walk in. Today however. I got this one Asian women (she is the heavier set$ And I don't know her name. First off. Me and my mom came in together. And they took her to get her toes done and took me to get my nails done. We came in together hoping we could get them done together as well. So Anyways this Asian lady. She was rushing me to pick a shellac color. They give you no time to pick one. They hover over you and ask you "are you ready" She started on my nail and when switching to my other hand. The way she would dismiss the hand she was working on was really rude. And never before have I come across that from any nail salon. She would toss my left hand aside to work on my right side. And the way she would just flick my hand away, really really made me angry. And honestly I would voice it. But they speak very little English . Would not have understood me anyways. Then when I went to go get a pedicure. She would look at me for a good 2 minutes and it made me feel weird the fact that she wouldn't stop looking at me. After the pedicure she didn't put on my sandals so I put them on myself thinking they were fully dry. Well my big toe snubbed and I got a streak off. I just feel like me paying $55. I should have left there fully satisfied. And I wasn't. Neither was my mom. Horrible customer service. Shitty service. My advice. Be warm and welcoming. I've had many bad experiences here, they are not good at their job. I got shellac on my hands and got a pedi. I wanted to make sure they had a matching color my feet since it's not shellac hat I am getting. I picked 3 different color asking them, any of these that have a matching color I'll take. They told me they had one of them. As you can see on the attached pictures, colors are pretty different. They do a rushed job, they talk in their language as they serve you and it often seems like they talk about you since the look and point. Very obvious. I find this place very unprofessional and bad at what they do. If you are picky like me and expect some professionalism, Go elsewhere don't waste your money here. read more

Went there with my mom and we thought we were getting pedicures. Turns out we were mostly right. The water was tepid and I tried tell the girl that it was too cold but the phone was more important. She grab my big toe to pull my foot out of the water and I also tried to tell her it was broken and not to do that but she did it two more times. Found out my moms wasn't any better. We were the only ones at the time but a few people walked in. A mother daughter came in and requested my moms girl and she couldn't finish fast enough and didn't give my mom her full attention or a decent service. When we paid all we had was exact cash and there was a $2 per service charge for cards. Neither deserved a tip and when we paid, the woman asks about a tip. We just walked out.
