This store is sooo adorable! I absolutely love it! Just a quick turn off Main Street next to the ice cream shop! Don't miss it!

This place was very cool. I've always wanted to stop by but they close at 5:30 p.m. and I'm usually…read morefurther into town at that point. However we parked at the mall across the street on this trip and this was right across the street. My husband really wants a grandfather clock and he was very excited to check out the selection. Prices seemed kind of high to me but to be fair I don't know anything about grandfather clocks, lol. They also have a nice selection of Frankenmuth magnets, they ranged from like $4 to $10. I ended up buying one of the $4 ones. The reason I'm bumping up this review to five stars is because I lost my Fitbit there (Fitbit Zip, an old one that sits on my waist, not my watch) and when my husband and I got to Kern's and realized it, we rushed back to the store to check there first (it was 530pm). The (owner? Employee?) welcomed us back, and another customer immediately pointed to it on the floor. Saved us a lot of hassle and had they closed immediately at 530pm, the doors may have been locked. Looking forward to checking this store out again the next time we are in town.

I actually went there for some clock parts and they don't sell the parts from the store, only on line so that was a waste but the guys were good to talk to and answered some of my clock questions.

Every type of ornament you can imagine, from almost anywhere in the world, can be found here. Free personalization for oodles of them as well. New house, pet, baby, marriage, job, or vacation? Check. Ethnic, cultural, hobby, fav food, military branch, or religious? Check. Glass, resin, plastic, lace, or fabric material? Check. If they don't have it, no one does. Then there are the Department 56 set ups! Seeing those can be worth the trip. Need stockings? Lights? Tree topper? A tree? Yup! Giant corporate style decor? Check again. Steins, edible treats, nativities? They have those too. Hungry, this place has a little cafeteria on site as well. Wear comfy shoes and prepare to spend at least 2 hours here, probably more. If you have little ones, get a map and prioritize. Plenty of nice clean bathrooms, a huge plus. A bazillion checkouts on both ends of the place, just try to remember which end you entered from. If you want to avoid the crowds, come when they open, or between Jan-Mar, pretty quiet then. Otherwise, it is crazy in there, but still fun. The only downside is the cost of most of the ornaments. While there is a sale/clearance area, two actually, and some clearance mixed into the regular priced items, the really nice ornaments are spendy, like $25+. I have passed on a lot of perfect ones because I couldn't justify the price to my own pocketbook. But if you have it to spend, knock yourself out. Despite the cost, we stop almost every time we are in Frankenmuth. My hubby is of German descent and we actually lived in Frankenmuth for a bit, years ago, so we're sentimental about it. If you are looking to take a family pic for Christmas cards, this is the place. If you've never been, it is worth the trip. Also, look online, they offer a free ornament coupon if you spend $25 or $30, which we always do.

I loved how every aisle tells a different story -- sport-themed, college-themed, color-themed, Santa suits, personalized ornaments, beautifully detailed nativity scenes, and unique keepsakes you won't find anywhere else. It instantly makes you slow down and smile. You name it, they have it. Every section feels thoughtfully curated. It's not just shopping; it's an experience, you find yourself wandering, looking up, and taking it all in. That said, a few things to keep in mind: the store is huge and can feel overwhelming, it's almost always crowded, and with so many amazing options, it's easy to overspend. Some sections can feel repetitive, and the nonstop Christmas theme might be a bit much if you're not a big holiday fan. Even with these minor points, Bronner's remains a magical place, bringing out childlike joy and reminding you why the holidays feel so special. Clean restrooms and free Wi-Fi were definitely appreciated.

Over the years things have become more pricey, as has anywhere else that's touristy, but I will say they have some very cool and unusual things they carry that if I did have loads of extra cash I would purchase! Like these really cool heads, all the fairy things, leather products. Have some pictures included. The one thing we went in for this year a couple weeks ago was to check out the new bar. They even have a pretty good size outdoor patio that unfortunately we didn't get to take advantage of because of the rainy weather. It was still open for late October though which was nice. The bartender was extremely nice that day(we were in town from Oct 23-26)and very knowledgeable about the Zehnder family, Bavarian Inn, etc. It was a nice conversation we had for sure since I've been coming to Frankenmuth for so many years. Going off the Fall special drink list, I tried the Cranky Mule, my daughter tried the Frankenstein Monster one. For $8, it was a good size and decent price. No complaints they were both good! Will be going back here for a quick drink next time shopping here again. One special note, I believe there is a coupon for a free gift in the visitors coupon book. The minimum purchase has gone up, but the free gift has always been something nice here.
