I reached out to Saturn Painting for a quote to have a fence stained. Ricardo responded promptly and came out to provide an estimate, which we both agreed upon. He mentioned he would bring stain samples the following week, but I never heard back. After I followed up, he apologized and said he would bring the samples in the next few days. Ricardo and his team just completed the repairs to our home that were necessitated by a flood. They replaced and painted around 85% of the baseboards, toe kicks, and quarter round and painted the inside of our entire home (around 2400 square feet). They did all of this work in 4 days! They arrived on time each morning and worked diligently and quietly throughout the day and cleaned up before they left each night. It was clear to us that they worked as a team and had a plan for each day. Every team member treated our home as if it was his own. Saturn Painting scores high on every measure. Saturn painting did an amazing job on our interior. They painted the entire inside. He told us up front they were completely booked up but said they would try and fit us in . We told him we were wanting it painted before we moved in , in a few weeks . He gave us a call and said he'd be able to fit us in , in two weeks , we were so happy. They told us they'd be there at a certain time and each day they were there promptly at that time. They came in taped off everything , painted and cleaned afterwards . The owner came by to do his checks and even started helping clean . We noticed a few missed spots and they immediately corrected the issue. We contracted with Saturn Painting to prepare our 2-story 3460 square ft. home to show for sale. Ricardo's painting crew and his electrical and landscaping subcontractors removed popcorn from all ceilings; repainted dark walls with a neutral color; replaced hanging fixtures with recessed can lights; replaced dated ceiling fans and light switches, and repainted woodwork including a large built-in oak bookcase. They removed and reinstalled light fixtures, blinds, shelving, etc. They power-washed the patio, driveway and sidewalks; refurbished a crushed granite walk path and cleaned up and re-mulched all flower beds.Ricardo's crew and subs were efficient and competent and if something wasn't exactly right, they made it right. They did a beautiful job resulting in a home that was show ready. We put the home on the market on a Thursday, had open houses that Saturday and Sunday, and had it under contract by Sunday night. Feedback about the home from the dozens of adult visitors at the open houses was exciting and positive. Saturn Painting's work was a key element in giving people a great first impression, from initial drive up to when they first walked through the door, and reinforcing their first impression by seeing consistency and quality as they walked through the home. Then wanted more money to do the doors when he finally put us on the schedule. Very disappointed in lack of communication and professionalism when company says customer satisfaction is priority. I don't write reviews often, but I promised Ricardo (the owner of Saturn Painting) I would after he did such a great job on the exterior of my 2 story house. Ricardo is himself one of the painters so I got to know him pretty well while he worked on my house. This is one of the reasons I picked Saturn to begin with. Most of the other companies in Austin seem to be very large operations and I liked knowing Ricardo would be around for me to ask questions. From what I gathered, Ricardo used to work with one of these large companies for decades and decided to branch out on his own recently. He and his crew were respectful of my property, friendly, and did great work. They power washed my exterior, replaced some rotting wood, and caulked all the gaps. They then added two coats of paint using both spray equipment and hand brushing. They started on time, worked diligently, and wrapped up in just 2 days. In terms of pricing, I received 7 quotes (I'm absurd like that) and Saturn was the second lowest. The difference between the lowest and highest quote was about 20%, so pricing seems pretty standard in this industry. Ricardo doesn't have a ton of overhead which is probably why his quote was on the lower end of the spectrum. FWIW, I live in Circle C Ranch and Ricardo lives down south somewhere, so he seemed excited about growing a bigger footprint down south. If you live down in my neck of the woods, I would absolutely reach out to him for a quote. read more

We hired Saturn painting to paint our exterior, restain our kitchen cabinets, retile our bathroom floor, install our range hood, ceiling fan, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, light bulbs and repaint our bathroom vanity. Saturn painting did a fantastic job for our out of state property with high quality workmanship for a fair price.This says a lot about their integrity, because I dealt with many contractors who will not be as dedicated, knowing you will not always be present to check on them. Ricardo, the owner, will take time to consult with you to ensure everyone involved is satisfied and clear with the task at hand. He never gave us bogus charges or recommended anything that was unnecessary. You can argue it is good business to do so, and while Ricardo certainly runs a good business, you will find out when interacting with him that Ricardo is honest, because he is truly a good man.
