He understood and suggested I get my apartment complex (the one who had called them to towe me for no good reason) : riverside ranch. No compassion, no understanding, just attitude and greed. It's one thing to tow an abandoned car but towing someone's vehicle while they're literally in the hospital fighting for their health is beyond wrong. My car was parked at my place of work, not blocking anyone, and instead of showing basic humanity, this company chose to profit off someone in a medical emergency. We've documented everything and are already taking legal action. The way they treated us was cruel and unprofessional, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. To anyone reading this: if you have the choice, stay far away from this company. They clearly have no moral compass or respect for human decency. Additionally, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) requires towing and vehicle-storage facilities to provide proper notice, documentation, and transparent release procedures. Conducting a tow without notice especially while the owner is hospitalized can be considered an illegal non-consent tow under Texas Occupations Code § 2308.251 and § 2308.451. You released my car for free because you knew this tow was unlawful. That doesn't erase what happened. I will be filing formal complaints with the City Marshal's Office of San Marcos and the TDLR, and submitting all documentation (ER records, timestamps, employer confirmation, and witness statements) to support my claim. Don't let this company scam you! Negative stars! My sister got her car towed from the subway parking lot after just walking and turning THE CORNER of the shopping area for no longer than 2 min. Her and her friend immediately turned around to walk back and her car was already getting hooked up, she tried to get the drives attention and he purposely ignored her. My mom met her at the towing lot and the front lady was rude from the start. My sister's cars steering wheel was stiff and not working along with other malfunctions and the whole environment seemed sketchy so my mom asked who was the driver and proof of license. The front lady said a guy was a driver then switched it up and said she was the driver. She even lied about how the car was towed, she said it got pulled from the front, but when we were able to see video footage, the car got towed from the back. Like why lie about that?! My mom stated that she would make a report if they could not provide proof of the workers credentials to show they are capable of towing vehicles and the front lady quickly made a call to the back and the next thing you know, the driver of the tow truck was rushing into his personal vehicle and left the lot. So not only is this company unreasonable, I believe they are letting people work with no knowledge of the job or proper driver license. We will be taking this a step further. read more

My car was towed from the Subway parking lot in San Marcos. We parked across from the Subway and walked around the corner to buy Manske rolls and came back and my car was gone. A gentleman sitting in a parked car told us that they were towing vehicles. As we were discussing what we needed to do an Amazon driver parked his vehicle in this same lot and by the time he got back a wrecker had backed up to his truck and had lifted it to tow it away. The Amazon driver came back and was able to stop the tow. It appears to be a scam. Someone is watching for innocent victims to park and walk away from their vehicle; if even for a few minutes. We had no idea we were in violation of any parking regulation. Also the paperwork I had to sign to get my car back had errors on it. I called the towing company to find out what I had to do to get my car back at 2:58 p.m. The paperwork indicates my vehicle was towed at 3:15, 15 minutes after my call to them when they told me they had my vehicle. Also I could not view my vehicle until after I had signed their form and paid them $175+ for the tow. SCAM SCAM SCAM I always tell my daughters "Live & Learn". This is one time I "Lived & Learned". It was an unpleasant and expensive lesson. If I lived in San Marcos I think I'd spend quite a bit of time in the Subway warning other innocent folks of this scam. This company illegally towed my car within 15 minutes of me leaving it. I am visually and mobility impaired, and yes, the placard was up (even though it was not a handicapped spot). Not only that but the vehicle was damaged in the process. The employees were extremely rude and unhelpful, even when I informed them I had never been towed before and was a little lost. They refused to give me any names, insurance information, or cooperate in any way. Additionally, they charged double the advertised price claiming "lot and towing fees," The car was in the lot for maybe 15 minutes, and I'm not sure how you would retrieve the car without it entering the lot. They continued to try to rush us off the lot as we assessed the damages, and we were eventually forced to contact the police to file a report. So to conclude, they illegally towed a disabled person, caused damages, and refused to be accountable or even kind in the slightest of ways. Boyfriend's car got towed from my apartment complex and we call this place and tell them it's a Subaru WRX, and they say they don't have it. This is the only place that tows from my complex. Come to the conclusion that someone must have stolen the car since no other wreckers or tow companies have it. We go to the lot just to make sure it's not there before calling the police, and they say again that they don't have it, and tell us we can go look in the lot to make sure.
