I had the dreamboat (a quinoa mix served in half a papaya--great combination of flavors; the papaya complements the quinoa well), lilikoi shortbread (the mousse-like filling was bursting with lilikoi flavor but not too sweet), and a mint "mojito" limeaid. The outdoor dining space is full of plants and includes several covered areas. The staff is friendly and pleasant. The owner is continuing to try out new recipes and flavors, so it's definitely worth multiple visits. read more

Just moved to Mountain View and was beyond excited to discover this gourmet food truck just 10 min away. Island food can get redundant with the same local plates offered everywhere. To have something creative and reminiscent of the California food scene is so welcome. Rachel the owner is cheerful and happy to explain her dishes, list all of the ingredients and even give samples. When I tried the Kalua pork tacos I said it's the best kalua pork I've had in a very long time, would even be great on its own like a bbq plate with a few sides. I've also had one of her delicious soups, lemonades and dessert. They're only open 3 days a week which I decided is a good thing otherwise I'd be tempted to eat there everyday. read more

This mom and daughter duo were some of the nicest people we've met on the island. Their hours are limited, but if you have the chance to catch them while they're open you definitely should! Rachel's food is just like mom cooked it, if your mom was an incredible chef. The menu rotates every week and I've never been disappointed by any of her dishes. The food blends together a fusion of cultures in the most creative ways. There are a couple consistent menu items like the pork tacos that are as big as they are tasty. Honestly, the food is only half the reason I come here. The ambiance and friendly conversations with the owner/chef Rachel really make you feel at home. They are only open Wednesday to Friday and once food is out, it is off the menu so go early in the week. read more

What a gem! This place is incredible. We had the paniolo fries and the smoothie, both of which were very fresh, imaginative, and delicious. The menu changes frequently but we doubt they serve anything that isn't super tasty. The mother and daughter who run the place are very nice and friendly. We got some great recommendations for our stay in Hilo as well. They have a lovely place to sit next to the truck which is still very comfortable even though the plot between it and the road just got an extreme haircut. we stopped at this delicious food truck on our way back from touring the national park. The food was delicious! My husband loved his pork tacos with the raspberry sauce. I had the quinoa and veggie salad in papaya.. The flavors were so delicious. We ordered Crème Brûlée that is made by budding chef Sebastian who is 12 and he carmelized the sugar at our table:). Finally had a chance to stop by and it was sooo worth it! I had the pork tacos which come topped with a homemade raspberry sauce. I've never had a raspberry Chipotle style sauce before and for me, it absolutely made the tacos! It was unique and delicious. So was the potato Mac salad... the combination was a perfect side. We stopped by not realizing the truck was closed for the evening (closing time was at least 30 minutes earlier and the owners were cleaning up). Not only did they offer to whip something up for my nine year old and I anyway, they generously threw in some of their potato mac salad. I'm am personally not a macaroni salad person, but this was DELICIOUS, with vegetables potato and ham. I had a Dream Boat (papaya stuffed with a jerk quinoa salad) that was superb. Holy cow. This place was amazing! The dinning setup was gorgeous, the food delicious, the staff wonderful! They were very patient with me while I asked questions and gushed over the menu options. I ended up getting The Dream Boat (it 100% lives up to its name: chilled quinoa with veggies delicately spiced with jerked seasoning served in a papaya and lime sauce to top it off (my mouth is watering just thinking about it)), shortbread with a lillikoi cheesecake mousse topped with toasted coconut, and huckleberry limeade. I only ever come on Yelp to leave a review when a place is seriously bad. This is the first time that I've ever had food and service so absolutely wonderful that I have to leave a review during my meal. How is it even possible to take such differing ingredients and make something so perfect? Kalua pork tacos with a raspberry sauce, onions, cilantro, and Mexican cheese? Sounds alright and like something I wouldn't want to try but oh my goodness, we will be back tomorrow. The flavors of everything melt so perfectly together. A professional chef could never accomplish this. As for the Mac potato salad, she told us that if we get one to share, we're gonna want another. We ended up getting a second and I'm so glad we did. It's got all sorts of random ingredients in it, but they come together perfectly. We also got a kalua pork smokey Mac. Portions were huge and it was incredible. As for drinks, we got their fruit smoothie which had the best texture, and their chai latte is seriously the best we've ever had. Most places use a concentrate that doesn't have much of anything but sugar. The latte here is creamy, full of natural spices, and has so much flavor. We paid a little over $40 for everything we got, and it was worth every cent. read more
