Wonderful large indoor antique mall. great selections. Lovely friendly folks run this place and I always find treasure

Went in with a friend to see if they had any physical media, turns out they had a pretty great collection of dvds and vhs tapes, we spent over 30 minutes making our selections, excited because the pricetag on the boxes listed them as $1, pretty standard for thrift store used dvd prices. We get up to the register with about 10 of them, excited for our haul. After saying, "saw these were a buck each so we had to get a few" the guy at the register goes "oh...no, thats the old price tags, they are $5 each. Physical media is taking off now" We very dissapointedly left our dvds and exited. Let me just say a few things: As a customer coming into your store to buy 2nd or even 3rd hand dvds in "meh" quality, charging $5 a pop is insane, especially because you can get them brand new from walmart for that price. Next is that to have the audacity to say "I bought these from a reseller" to a customer is just nuts, Its not my business where you get your inventory, the fact that we chose to spend our time enjoying perusing your store going through your acquisitions should be way more than enough. Next up is having pricetags on it and then changing the price at checkout is highly illegal. Under Section 396 of New York State's General Business Law it is illegal for a merchant to charge you a higher price at checkout than what was advertised, displayed, or marked on the item. The state enforces strict truth-in-advertising and transparent pricing rules to protect consumers. Purely based on the young guy's attitude I have filed an official complaint with the NYS attorney general's consumer complaints portal. And finally, above all, good luck selling those, i don't know a single person who would pay more than a buck for a Katherine Heigl movie. Don't shop here. read more

A wonderful places to shop @ Nice atmosphere, prices vary... Locally owned, small business! A staple of the local community, been there for 40 Years!!! They even give out free hotdogs on occasion, hence why I posted on here. read more

My wife bought a tea pot there and talked about how her old one broke. When she arrived home we put water in it and noticed it was leaking. As I put the lid back on it slide into pot and hit the side with the pin hole and broke a small piece off. We called store to explain about this then heard back from store mgt who stated it's an antique they have imperfections. Then got rude as we continued to ask question about how we can resolve this. She said it's your fault and restated it's an antique. So be very careful with this place and I wouldn't buy anything that you plan to use as the purpose of the item. Wonder how there vases work or dressers Lol. read more

Very sad purchase-- bought a tea kettle for $125, and when I got home my husband noticed it had a pinhole in it. We called the store back immediately -- and they claim that it is not their responsibility, and too late to do anything. I rather deal with trust worthy, transparent store owners. Sadly this once-beloved and reliable antique mall has changed hands in the past year or more and it's lost the charm. There can still be some good finds but the prices have gone way up and the new management is oddly hostile to customers. Skip it. read more

A great place and even though i did not buy more than 2 postcards, I really thought they had a wide variety and a great deal less pricey than anyplace i'd been in recently. Or long ago. I wish i could go back on a weekly basis and i wish that there were a way to get from NYC to Saugerties on a direct basis but no matter. Lots of cool antiques. Found this really cool Scandinavian travel trunk. We were able to negotiate the prize and I shipped it home to Florida. Thank goodness this part of New York State is a stomping ground for my husband, so we'll be back for more goodies next year. read more

We stopped in the Saugerties Antiques Center to 1)Get Warm 2) Just Browse ;actually not expecting much. We were gratefully surprised to see such a well displayed and well edited selection of interesting unique items . So often my experience of "Antiques"Centers does not meet this description; offering for sale what seems to be whatever was found in the merchant's attic. The staff was friendly, pleasant, and relaxed. I will definitely go back my next trip north. read more

Very disappointed. Drove 1 hour on Saturday 2/27/16 to get there only to find they weren't open yet. Sign said they open at 10:30. we got there at 10:30 and waited in the freezing cold along with another customer for 15 minutes waiting to get in before finally giving up and leaving. read more

I liked the store a few months back during a visit and decided to visit it again when I came back to the town. Unfortunately, the sign said it opened at 1030, but we waited for more than 20 minutes, and gave up. Punctuality is clearly not their strength. read more

OK I was really inclined to go with one star but didn't want to be too mean. But given that this USED to be among our favorite stops on semi-annual trips to the area and we virtually always walked out with a couple of small items and sometimes several mid-to larger sized purchases, on this visit it was clear within about 5 seconds that the place was totally different. Mostly gone are the collections of vintage glassware,serving pieces and household ephemera from the 40s, 50s and 60s, not to mention most of the rest of the organized clutter of fun-to-trawl items, collectibles and oddities. I did inquire after having a quick look around whether the place had changed hands, and sure enough, yep, it did, since the fall. If you loved it before, you won't no mo'. If you like Hudson's Warren St. shops, you might be more enamored. We'll be skipping it from now on, sadly. At least there are still the other Saugerties mainstays that we'll check out, though. read more
