THANK YOU for being "HONEST and having INTEGRITY" Just want to give a quick shout out to the Sav-Mor Auto Clinic, especially Alex who is the one who helped me. Being from out of town on a limited time schedule to get the car fixed I turned to AAA for assistance and found this shop on the AAA certified auto repair listings. I decided to go with them because of their high ratings/reviews. My daughter has a 2000 Toyota Echo and she has been having problems with the brake lights staying on once the car was turned off. Each time she arrived at her destination she would have to disconnect the fuse under the dash board or her car would be dead when she returned. I called the shop when they opened this morning, explained the situation, and was asked to drop the car off to be inspected. When I arrived Alex is the one who greeted me, remembered the conversation we had on the phone earlier. After the paperwork was completed he explained the process, the estimated cost for that specific issue but also made sure that I was aware the cost would be different if that wasn't the issue and the diagnostic showed something different. I let Alex know I was staying at the hotel down the street, which was a little over 3 miles away, and would be walking to/from the shop. When he heard the situation he offered to drop me off/pick me up but I declined... it's a beautiful day outside plus it would give me time to talk on the phone with my kiddos. I was on my walk back with less than 10 min to my destination when he called stating my car was fixed and ready to be picked up. He explained that the issue in question looked like it had a fairly new part and only needed to be adjusted properly; once they did it the problem resolved. When I got back to the shop I was greeted by Whitney and to my surprise the invoice read $0.00. He did not try to charge me for a new part, or upsell anything. As it turns out, my son who is not mechanically inclined did change the part about 9 months prior and the issue has been happening since then, so my daughter inherited the issue when she got the car. They were really nice- definitely give them that. I took my car in and was charged a $100 diagnostics fee only for them to tell them they had no idea what was causing it. I think they do good work- I'm just a little unhappy about being charged $100 to be basically told that they don't know. I've since figured out what was wrong on my own but it was just a disappointment as this place was highly recommended. read more

I found out in the early 1980's that my wife's family were taking their cars to Sav-Mor Auto for repairs. The family said Sav-Mor did very good work. I started taking our '96 Cavalier and '96 Neon there. I'd sometimes venture a guess on what was wrong. Sometimes I was right, but they seemed to always find and fix the correct problem. I noticed the parking lot was always packed full of cars to repair, a good sign. Glenn and Tracy at the desk have always been thorough and professional, and pleasant to work with. They quote the bad news, and wait for me to decide whether the repair is worth the expense. No pressure, and sometimes they would suggest the repair isn't worth doing. Or Glenn would tell me the Neon repair is patchy, but the best they can do under the circumstances. '96 Neon has a Consumer Reports worst car award. Sav-Mor is a little more expensive than other repair shops. Sometimes I take the cars to Master Muffler on North State Street, or Certified Tire on State and 1600 North, to save money on easy repairs. However, when we want to make sure the job is done right, our family goes to Sav-Mor. read more

Their prices are probably not the cheapest, but the service is the BEST, the MOST reliable and guaranteed. THey are honest and ethical and you know that you are treated right.
