Kyle and the crew at Rush have been my "go to" mechanics for well over 7 years. I rarely do reviews, but this one is greatly deserved and extremely overdue. The most important take away from this review is fair pricing. Car parts are expensive, as is a good mechanic but Rush is up front and keeps repairs as cost effective as possible. I drive right past the dealership for my make of car and at least 3 other shops because it's worth the extra 20 minute drive for the best value. To list a few of the repairs we've had at Rush: alternator, intake valve, new battery, oil changes, diagnostics, broken hood release, brakes and even reattaching trim that was falling off. Rush has kept 3 of our family's cars going for many years. Since we buy used and then drive them into the ground. We have also been advised by Rush mechanics when it is no longer cost effective to make a repair, which I appreciate, because there's no sense throwing good money after bad. After reading reviews on Google, I felt confident to take my vehicle to Rush. I took in my second Ford F150 because of the engine light was on and the vehicle wouldn't go more than 50 miles per hour. After they fixed the engine sensor and diagnosed the vehicle for $600, they said the vehicle is good. The engine light came right on before I got home. A couple of weeks later, I took my vehicle to Auto Zone to check the check light and it suggested replacing a thermostat. I replaced the thermostat for $10 and fixed the issue. I believe they new about the issue but they decided to fix an expensive issue as replacing the thermostat would worth their time. I won't use these guys in the future. read more

So thankful a friend recommended these guys! My 3rd gen 4 runner needed a water pump. I called and got a quote. They also referred me to a tow company to get my vehicle to them. Said I could drop it off/have it towed the same day I called and it would be done by the end of the week. These guys are amazing! Seriously! Thank you. Had a break down driving through Salt Lake. Ford dealer wouldn't even look at my truck for 3 weeks. Called RUSH and they were able to squeeze me in and get the problem fixed getting me back on the road the next day. These guys are awesome! I was quoted, what I thought was a high price at the Ford dealership to have my differential replaced. I decided to get a second quote from Rush. I honestly didn't want to write this review, but after dealing with the "work" they did on my car for the past 3 months, I feel that I have to now. I found this place in 2015 when they opened and I was in love with them! They seemed very honest and reasonable. I recommended them to everyone from then on out...boy do I wish I didn't do that. I went to rush in May 2016 to get my car looked at after I noticed it was pulling on acceleration. Turned out the control arms needed to be replaced, the left strut also needed to be changed, the timing belt needed to be replaced, my car needed a coolant flush, and my water pump also needed to be replaced. That was fine. I had no issues trusting Rush to complete all of these tasks for me. It took them about 1 week to finally finish working on my car. It also cost me $1900. Once I picked it up, it threw a code (which was for the water pump) and began leaking coolant. My engine cover was also missing. Upon inspection of my front bumper, I realized it was on crooked and the headlights were not assembled properly (they still aren't). Sent the car back in to rush where they then fixed the water pump and "did their best" to reassemble my front bumper and headlights (honestly a terrible job). This took an additional week. Fast forward to 3 weeks ago when I noticed my car was shaking when I was breaking. I thought I just had a flat tire so I filled all my tires with air. The problem just persistently got worse. I took it to a different mechanic and they informed me that whoever had taken my tires off last and put them back on appeared to have not tightened the lug nuts appropriately and my WHEEL WAS ABOUT TO FALL OFF!!! Guess what, Rush had to take my wheels off to change my control arms. Them not tightening LUG NUTS properly caused my entire wheel, barring, and hubs to break and I had to get them replaced for an additional $540. Take your car to a different mechanic. Save yourself a headache and a lot of money. read more

I noticed my car was leaking on Thursday, September 15 and I spoke with Rush that same day. I was able to drive my car down there on Friday and I left my keys in their drop box. They worked on it first thing Saturday, which was great and I believe I picked it up that afternoon. The radiator cost about $487 total and I thought everything was fine from there on out. On Sunday I realized that my outside temperature gauge wasn't working, so I called in Monday and they said they must have forgotten to plug it back. I took it back Tuesday and they plugged it, everything worked fine after that. I was driving home from work Wednesday, September 19 and my car overheated on the freeway, so I pulled over and called Rush because I just barely had the radiator replaced and it shouldn't be doing that. I spoke with Quincy and she said that they would have a tow truck come out and grab my car and take it back to the shop. I asked Quincy if the tow truck would cost me anything, she asked Dan and he said that it would not cost anything. The next morning I called in to get an update on my car and spoke with Dan again. He said that my car blew a head gasket and it was "astronomical" to fix as far as pricing goes. He proceeded to tell me that it was going to cost roughly $2,100 to fix. He said that I could call around and do my due diligence to see if I could find a cheaper quote. A few hours later, I called back and asked Dan if he could check my warranty plan through Mastertech and see if the head gasket would be covered. I have a warranty through Mastertech that I purchased at Mark Miller Toyota last November. Dan told me that he would call in and get back to me. About a half an hour later, Dan called and said that he spoke with Mastertech and they said that it would not be covered under my warranty. A couples hours later, I spoke with my boyfriend who decided that he wanted to speak with Mastertech himself just to double check that it was not covered. He called in, gave them my VIN number and they said, "Under my contract, it would be covered," he then asked them if they could see in their notes if anybody has called in to see if it would be covered under my warranty. The person at Mastertech said that nobody called in and even if somebody called in asking a simple question it would be noted in their system, there were NO notes AT ALL. After hearing this, I was obviously very upset and I immediately called Mark Miller Toyota to request an appointment for them to look at my car. The next morning, which was Friday, September 23 I called a towing company through my insurance and they went to pick up my car from Rush to take it to Mark Miller Toyota. When the tow truck got to Rush, Dan called me and said, "So you found somebody to cover your warranty?" I told him that my boyfriend called Mastertech and they said that it is covered under my warranty and that nobody even called in to see if it was. He then said, "Well, that's weird because I called in and they told me it wasn't. Oh, and we're going to have to get this tow bill taken care of." I was really confused when he said that because I SPECIFICALLY asked Quincy when my car was on the freeway if the tow truck was going to cost me anything and she said NO. Dan then "remembered" that we had that conversation and said goodbye. My car was taken that same day to Mark Miller and I just picked it up yesterday, September 19. Neil at Mark Miller checked my car out, had some of his guys drive it around, and they couldn't find ANYTHING wrong with it. They think the car overheated due to an air bubble being trapped in the radiator after it was replaced. I've been driving my car around and it works just fine. How do you go from a blown head gasket, which is going to cost $2,100 to fix, to there's nothing wrong with it? I walked away paying $55 for a diagnostic fee at Mark Miller. read more

I have been to Rush several times for simple things like oil changes and on the spot registration and although they are always busy (I assume because of the quality of the work) I am always still in and out within an hour or less. $19.99 for an oil change is a deal to me and they have never tried to tell me something was "wrong". These people seem to know their stuff! Not only have I had my vehicle in for minor things but my husbands vehicle had a major repair involving his fuel line and it was completed at a reasonable cost in 1 day, when every other place we contacted was 1-2 weeks out before they could even touch it nor could any of the others even give me a ball park price. I'll always go to a place where they're up front about pricing and whether or not it's something they're able to fix, so far they've been able to fix anything we've brought in. I've recommended to friends, family & co-workers and have actually been told how great their service was and how astonished they were that they didn't have to sit in a stinky, dirty, cold or hot waiting room with a broken TV waiting for 3 hours for an oil change. I took my car here 3 weeks ago my friend recommended the place i paid $520 for then to fix my car they said my wheel bearing was old and needed to be replaced i willingly paid the money since I read great reviews ...and it was embarassing to drive my car around with tge loud clicking noise .... when i picked up my car they said it was good to go i took it home and within a few days that same noise was there but louder I called them they asked that I bring it in so i did on a tuesday at 11am they told me my cv axle needed to be replaced i called when I got off work at 4:30 they told me they would call me back in 30 min well 1 hr passed and nothing so I called them back they told me i had to wait and leave the car with them since they other customers waiting before me and they cant just ignore the rest of there customers for me ... they said they have nit looked at the car find out whats wrong but they would tommorow morning. well I left it there next morning they call saying i need repairs on my cv axle I told them i would pay to get it fixed but i needed my car since I have a dr appointment for my daughter they told me they would have to keep it since they need a new part and it wont be delivered until wendsay morning well wenday cand morning and nothing they still had my car with nothing done to it ... friday at 5pm i picked up my car paid $320 and by the time I arrived home that same exact noise was there its like my car was not even touched. Im so upset $840 to the trash. I called back to try and get a refund well they said no bring it back in ... why would I ?u guys couldnt fix my car the first 2 times and I feel cheated out my time a d money ... im a single mom and cant afford to be throwing my hard earned money ...PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY DONT COME HERE !!!! I took my daughter's vehicle to Rush Tire because I thought it was leaking from the lower radiator hose or worse, the water pump. After about 45 minutes the owner, Darren came in and told me it was the timing chain cover gasket. Darren stated it was a 6 hour job and would cost just over $600.00. Darren said he couldn't get the job done until Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Darren also stated he was going out of town, but his guys would get it done. Darren had me use his son's vehicle to take care of some errands that day and told me I could use it while they were out of town. I thanked him for taking care of a long-term customer. The next day I got a call from Darren, which surprised me because the shop is closed on Saturdays during the winter months and Darren was supposed ro be out of town. Darren said he wanted to get the vehicle done and even replaced the water pump at cost. Darren also told me the bill would be much less than quoted. Darren went out of his way to take care of me and my daughter and got our vehicle back to us. He did this on his day off and when he was to be on vacation with his family. This is the best place to go for automotive repairs. They are honest, fairly priced and do quality work. They do not try to over sell repairs. I trust Darren totally. He has told me a couple of times that the work other places said had to be done didn't or that it could be completed at a much lower cost. The worst place I have ever been. They Changed my oil and left a line loose. Then I took it back to replace the water pump, wheel bearing and fan blower motor. When I picked it up the blower motor sounded worse than the old one, so Darren called and put in the correct one... He then tried to overcharge me on the repairs. About a week and half later my ABS light came on and I took it to the dealer, $300.00 later they advised that both of the shields that protect the speed sensors were missing. Last friday I started my truck and it sounded like metal was hitting something, so I looked under my truck and the mount that holds the fan shroud on was just sitting there, not bolted on and the sensor that is located on the cooling fan was broken as well. The dealer felt bad and charged me $60.00 to bolt the support back on and fix the sensor mount. So I hope that is it????? You ask why I didn't take it back to Rush, that's because I don't trust them to work on anything I own. Darren may know what he's talking about but he has to workers that are not mechanics or they are forced to get things in and out of the shop as quickly as possible. If you take your car there you'll end up paying for the job down the road because they won't put your car back together all of the way. This is not how you get repeat customers Darren. read more
