I've been to many funerals, but this one was for my Mom, who died from Covid 19. Peter was completely about making this terrible situation, into a healing time for the family. It wasn't about money. He has a genuinely caring heart and makes himself available, day and night for his clients. My Mom's last weeks of life were everyone's worst nightmare, and Peter was still able to give us a beautiful woman to say goodbye to. Not once did he treat her or any of us as if we were diseased. Called twice to try and make arrangements for a family member and never heard back from the funeral director as promised by the woman I spoke with. Horrible customer service. I recommend sending your business elsewhere. read more

This review is based on the new organization--Savage DeMarco. this is the result of a merger between 2 funeral services. I did not work with this location but did work with the Endicott location. This should not matter since the same people are running both funeral homes. To gain efficiencies they are using an answering service. An operator wanted to know which location I was working with. Working with them because of the death of a loved one has been very frustrating. Out of maybe 8 calls to the answering service it took 2 days to get a return call. More often I never got a call back. They gave me the wrong email address and then when they gave the correct one per their website I still did not get answers to my questions as they did not contact me back. Calls to a person's personal mobile phone were more effective if they answered but if they didn''t I got a message that their voice mail box was not set up and I could not leave a message. The delays in getting questions answered caused me to not get the services that I wanted and too much time had passed to make any corrections. A promise to deliver 2 items to me was not fulfilled. It was 4 days later that they called and told me that I could come by and pick them up. no mention of why they could not be delivered to me. For this type of service I do not see a need to take a chance as there are other choices. A merger should not only bring efficiencies to the owners but should also offer more and better services to their customers. Mergers are tricky as people must be retrained and systems must be reviewed. In this case there are breakdowns in their service delivery and they can only offer excuses. This is my experience at the present. I am hopeful that they can learn from their mistakes but not at your expense like it was for me. read more
