4/30/2021 Thanks to…read moremy sister Siena who recommended Sabai Beauty & Wellness to me (over a year ago) and I finally made the trip out to Morgan Hill for my very first ever diamond microdermabrasion facial. Sabai Beauty & Wellness is a suite that is located in Sola Salon which is a business full of suites for hair and skin care. It is by appointment only. There is a sign on the door that asks you to text/call your salon person to come open the locked door for you to enter. Karin is a one woman business. She made me feel instantly comfortable and was extremely gentle and kind. We got to know each other just a tad while she worked on my facial. I can tell she really enjoys what she does and has been doing this for over a decade. If you are debating like me forever to try a diamond microdermabrasion facial, don't debate it, just do it! My appointment lasted one hour and my face feels lighter. I can't wait to come back again next month and see what regular facials can do to my face! :P Please support your local businesses if you can. They need to recover from the pandemic. I went to this location on Tuesday 7/29 around my lunch for a clean up only since I already have a brow shape that was fixed months previously from another botched threading visit at another location in the Bay. The lady was occupied the first time I came to the store so she asked that I come back in 15 minutes which I did. Once I returned there was minimal small talk but I did let her know more than once that I just wanted a clean up around the brows, no brow reshape, just a cleaning. Well she went to work right away and while I appreciated her urgency, I was a bit worried she was going a bit too fast. Then her small child comes onto the floor and it seems to have either annoyed, frustrated, or made her anxious because a minute later she was done. She didn't hand me a small mirror which is normally the norm after a service is done and instead asked me to look at my brows via the long full body mirror. I was a bit taken aback at 1. The speed in which she finished 2. Not offering to put aloe on my brows or even brushing the hairs that were pulled off my face. I sat there with brow hair all over my face and eyes. I had never had this woman work on my brows so while I wanted to examine them closely while I was there, I had a feeling she wanted me to be gone so I paid and left. I was charged $14, I paid cash and tipped $3. Of course the moment I get back to work I take a better look and sure enough she threaded too much on the bottom of both brows and now what was a lovely thick even line is now angled and uneven plus thin. I sent photos to my brow lady back East who fixed them and she confirmed that the woman who threaded them indeed took too much from both brows and made them uneven, FML. So what now? Well, I'm past the point of being upset tbh, I'm just disappointed in all honesty. I love to support local businesses, but I've given this place 3 chances and this is the last time I'm supporting or recommending anyone to come here for brows. I paid to have my brows fixed months ago after going through the same thing last year and in less than 5 minutes my brows were ruined. Lesson finally learned. In conclusion ladies and gentlemen, unless you want angled uneven thin brows, I would not recommend to come here for your eyebrow threading. Please do yourself and your brows a huge favor and make the drive and pay the price for someone professional who knows what they are doing and won't thread off months of growth and patience.
