Excellent social director, and therapy staff, who knew and were concerned about all the residents. I was lucky to get my Mother in this facility.

The service is ridiculously slow in the dining area and far from being delicious. Quality is inconsistent. Food choices are limited with lots of carbs, mostly meat options , very limited fresh green vegetables or fresh fruit. They are very short-staffed. Servers seem burned out. Trelago The Grove is trying to hire more staff. Director is very opened to suggestions and making changes. He seems like he is really trying to improve things and he is hands-on. Newly hired Activities Director is warm, enthusiastic and very helpful. Outside trips are starting to be planned but up until recently, it was very limited. In a senior living facility, I was surprised to see the kitchen has high countertops requiring barstools. The place seemed like a wonderful home and I'm thinking about it for my mother. While I was touring I saw the schedule of events for the month, it looks like there are tons of things to do everyday there, from bingo, to trivia, exercise classes, prayer groups and so much more. Unacceptable care, poor communication, and zero respect for residents…read more ​If you are looking for a safe and compassionate facility for your loved one, look elsewhere. This nursing home is severely understaffed, disorganized, and fails to provide basic human care. ​My sister is currently a resident here, and the level of neglect we have witnessed is appalling. Residents are left sitting in soiled clothes and unwashed for extended periods because staff members simply aren't around or aren't paying attention. To make matters worse, management recently relocated my sister to a completely different room without giving our family any advance notice, claiming it was for "renovations." When we asked the nursing staff about the sudden move, nobody knew what was going on or could give us a clear answer. ​If you aren't physically sitting there in the room monitoring your family member every single hour, they will not receive proper care. The staff is unhelpful, indifferent, and completely dismissive of family concerns. ​We are actively working to move my sister out of this terrible facility and into a place that actually values human dignity. A member of my family recently spent an extended period at AdventHealth. There were individual…read morenurses, therapists and other staff members who provided excellent and compassionate care, and they deserve recognition. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me with serious concerns about how AdventHealth manages complex patients. Care was fragmented across multiple specialties, with inconsistent communication and no clear sense that anyone was responsible for pulling the entire clinical picture together. Too often, the family became the coordinator, connecting information between physicians, following up on tests and trying to reconcile conflicting explanations. We also encountered significant barriers when attempting to obtain an outside medical opinion, including incorrect information about releasing medical records and a process that required the family to navigate departments, policies and credentialing issues largely on our own. Most concerning was discharge planning. It moved forward while significant ongoing health issues still required clear plans for pain management, blood pressure, dialysis, bowel problems, respiratory issues and follow-up care. The family repeatedly questioned whether there was a comprehensive plan for managing these issues once the patient left the hospital. Good people work at AdventHealth. That is not the same thing as having a healthcare system that works well. For a hospital caring for seriously ill patients, communication, coordination, accountability and continuity of care should not depend on how persistent the patient's family is.

The staff (most not all) are rude and do not communicate with family members about their loved one. They do not return phone calls. They talk rudely to the residents and about the residents to other staff members. My loved one sat in their soiled brief for over 2 hours on more than one instance because the nurse would not answer their call to take them to the restroom, which resulted in an infection. My loved one has also been given the wrong medication which resulted in an ER trip. Seniors deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, not like they are children without a say. Do yourself and your family member a favor and do not send them here for nursing/rehabilitation. I can't speak about the other parts but this area is horrible.

Hundreds of the Mayflower residents living in the Independent tower still are not…read moreallowed back to their apartments after the underground parking flooded during Hurricane Ian ( 9-28-22). As of today 11-4-22 the residents are still not allowed to go to their apartments even to pick up their belongings. Many are living in hotels. The Mayflower neglected to take care of flooding which has happened in the past but this time it fried their electrical, the generator and the elevators. Here is the latest update from CEO Steve Kramer on 11-4-22: This week, we continued to make progress on repairs to our electrical system. We received two tractor trailer loads of temporary electrical gear, which are being prepared for installation once the demolition of the existing electrical equipment is complete. We expect demolition to be complete and equipment installation to begin by the middle of next week. Once temporary gear is installed and activated, we will be able to initiate elevator repairs. Again, much of this work is happening simultaneously. As you know, we originally asked residents to prepare to vacate their apartments for three to four weeks, based on information we had at the time. Next week will be the four-week mark - and while we have made monumental progress in a relatively short amount of time, given the scope of our repairs, we clearly will not be able to have residents return yet. Because we are still awaiting confirmation on lead times for some critical repair components, we cannot yet provide a specific return date - but our contractors and suppliers are working with us to expedite the process as much as possible. As soon as we are able to solidify the timeline, you will know. We've had a number of inquiries regarding concerns about the possibility for mold growth in the apartments. Please know that we are regularly monitoring the apartment towers, and both our Building Services Director and Director of Construction agree that this should not be a concern in the apartments. Additionally, the garage and areas that were inundated with water have been remediated and treated as well. Many of you have been visiting the new Mayflower healthcare building. If you do: As a matter of safety, please do not park in the designated Fire Lane when you first enter the new building's parking lot. The City of Winter Park has been issuing citations to vehicles parked in that area. Finally, I'd like to share some good news: Last night, the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce held their annual Best of Winter Park reception. I am happy to let you know that, once again, The Mayflower was voted Best Senior Living! Congratulations! You are all a big part of helping us achieve this recognition.
