Waiting room

We were here bright and early one morning because my kid was having some surgery done and would be spending a good chunk of our day here. They do have valet parking, which I believe is free, but I'm not sure. We opted to park in the parking garage, which has access to a couple of the Medical buildings here. They have an entire complex with lots of places you can go. I personally got a little lost in the building, but there are lots of people here that are willing to assist so that you can find where you're looking for. We were able to get registered quickly and Went to the section that we needed to be in. We got set up there and just waited for them to call them back. once they gotten back, everything went smoothly and took less time than anticipated for the actual surgery. The recovery time was much longer than they anticipated but exactly what we knew. What happened. In the end, they did well and are happy with the results. There will be more visits for check ups later Now for the downside of my visit. Being diabetic, I'm supposed to eat at roughly regular times every day so that meant having breakfast in the hospital. The cafeteria opened at 7 AM and they were really busy when I got down there. I took this as a good sign. As someone new to it the whole set up was a little confusing for me as they have several stations for different things you can get. I tried to take a little time to acclimate myself to what where and for some reason settled on the station with the longest line. I ended up ordering scrambled eggs, corn, beef, hash, and some breakfast sausage. There was virtually zero flavor to all the food. I have never experienced breakfast sausage with no flavor before. The eggs and hash were completely unseasoned and usually hash has some type of flavor to it because of corned beef. Not so with this. They use big ice cream scoops for the eggs and hash so you do get a decent sized helping that is very compressed and compact. When I grabbed my silverware, I also grabbed some Tabasco sauce and anticipation of needing more flavor. I wish I had used half the bottle. I also grabbed a bunch of salt and pepper With the intention of pocketing some for later. I ended up using all of it and definitely could've used more pepper. Once I broke stuff up, there's actually a good serving of everything so my mail was actually very filling if completely flavorless to begin with. If I was back for breakfast, I would probably try the French toast or waffles. They have a good selection of fruit, but I can't have most of it and they also had some donuts and sweet rolls and breakfast sandwiches. In addition to my meal, I grabbed an M&M cookie which ended up being the highlight of my meal and it wasn't a particularly great cookie. At least it had flavor though. Everyone encounter was very friendly and helpful and I would definitely consider them if I was in need of medical assistance in the area.

AdventHealth Orlando is the Mothership out of all AdventHealth Hospitals with specialty care like Rothman Orthopedics attached. It also has seperate medical pavilions with respect to other specialties like Urology and Pediatrics. They even have a Disney inspired Childrens center and a AdventHealth for Women center, even an obstetrical Emergency Department. You have plenty of parking here in the complimentary parking garage as well as 3 cafes and a gift shop. This hospital is overwhelmingly huge but the office experience once you walk into the main entrance of this hospital will have you feeling safe and secured. There is always someone willing to help you get to your destination and even so many volunteers. I feel a sense of community and belonging everytime I walk into this hospital. Thank you Advent Health

The cafeteria in Celebration hospital ahas the best French toast. Most highly recommended. Great French toast with sausages. Good coffee too.

My uncles hip replacement surgery went well... Quality of care is always top-tier... He said his overall experience was amazing. That's my niece Loving on her uncle.

No one wants to go to the hospital, but it is a trip that many of us make at some point in our lives. I guess there are a few happy times, but the only one that I can think of is the birth of a child. I have been to this hospital a few times. Once even by helicopter (not the best experience, but I digress). The hospital has always offered me professional and compassionate care and I applaud the hospital and its wonderful staff. This time, I was just taking my mother for tests, but as I said, life and life's mishaps have brought me here a few times. Whatever brings you to this hospital, it is good to know that there is a competent and compassionate staff here to assist you.

The valet service is ridiculous. Theypark cars in the patient drop off and pick up lane. This blocks people from actually getting close to the front door. When I told the valet I was not valet parking he became very rude. The valet personnel just stand in the lane.

My last hospital…read moretrip this week, I got to see Dr. Mills, the Senior ER Resident who saved my life on the night of April 9th, as I went in with septic shock vs severe sepsis, the latter I had three times in the last three years. I reminded Dr. Mills of his accomplishment this past Tuesday night. He didn't remember and was very busy with other patients. Hours later, as the ER had a moment of respite, Dr. Mills took time to review his April 9th notes and remembered me as someone he believed would depart from this earth when he sent me upstairs on the night of the April night discussed. He came into my room Tuesday night, before sending me upstairs for admission, gave me a fist bump, and thanked me for reminding him of why he's an ER Resident. For those who don't know about Septic Shock, most die. Those who don't die, often have arms, legs, or all amputated, and somehow, Dr. Mills and his team prevented all of the aforementioned nightmare scenarios.

I spent two nights at Adventhealth prior to my delivery and all the staff were personable and caring. During my stay while giving birth I was there for 3 nights. The staff were wonderful again and kept me well informed of what was going on. I felt very in control of what was happening and that it was my choice as to what path was taken for my childs birth. I ended up having a beautiful baby boy via c-section and he was delivered by the on-call doctor, not a doctor from my OB. The on call doctor put me at ease (bc i was a little freaked out!) and I felt safe in her care. The food was decent, some meals better than others and you get a daily smoothie which was a nice surprise! In the area of the hospital that I was in there was a little cafe type area that had a vending machine and some other small bites for free. It was a thoughtful touch for friends and family who were visiting to meet our new baby. Everyone thinks that Winnie Palmer is THE place to have your baby, but I personally think Advent Winter Park is really the place to be. ;)

Two days before the procedure they call me that they changed the time. I told them I purposely planned this way ahead to plan and the person giving me a ride would not be available at this new time. Their only solution for that was offering another appointment two months away. I ended up driving myself so I could park and then have the person just pick me up instead. I found out there was a free valet for patients however, I had valuables in the car so I decided to go to the Self Park, which meant I was an extra 15 minutes late because there was traffic and it went up slowly. The digestive center was amazing, it was very modern and beautiful, clean and all staff was friendly and quick. The whole experience for the surgery part was amazing. Doctor Bang was really amazing and kind. All staff were excellent, I would ring the bell and two seconds later someone was already there to help. after the surgery, there were some small complications so instead of going home, I was brought up to a room. From here on the experience was not that great. I asked the assigned nurse for water and juice which she never brought, and I never saw her again until transitioning shift to the next nurse. I ended up calling and the head nurse was very kind and brought me something to drink finally. When I was out of water, I had to call again because I had not seen anyone in a long time and staff had come to pick up a food tray which I never received. They finally showed up with a dinner plate at 6:30pm. I am on a liquid diet, so I was very happy and hungry even it was not a food plate. It had a popsicle, Jell-O, juice, tea, and broth. I was so hungry I ended up going down to the cafeteria and buy a meal. I had denied an IV fluid as I can drink through my mouth however they refused to remove the port which I understand is protocol. At 5am my hand was hurting so bad I demanded it to be removed and they finally did. I also removed the heart monitor because I was tired and wanted to sleep. The morning staff was very friendly. As I was still on the liquid diet I went back downstairs to buy me something to eat this time I tried the Main bean coffee shop. All staff was friendly and helpful on my last day. All credit for dr bang that deserves 5 stars!

Recently, they've been to the emergency room twice with heart problems and on the second visit, they decided to keep them for a couple of days. Everything is good, but they want to monitor them. Haven't been to a lot of hospitals in my time I feel like this one is pretty good. Staff comes across as friendly and professional. They have some really good doctors that are trying their best with an unusual situation. Orlando Health is part of my kids medical network because their partner works at Disney. If you coming through the emergency room, they have free valet parking during the day at least. We used it on our first emergency visit, but they were gone by the time we left and I had to get my own car from the valet lot. Security was quite helpful though. On this last visit, we were there before the valet arrived, but I was allowed to park in that lot as it is the closest to the ER. Once they were checked in, I had to figure out where the main entrance was and parking. Once I found it, I recognized things and was able to get into the C Lot which is for visitors and the front and valet uses it. On this side, the valet charges you to park. It is a healthy walk from the garage to the entrance, but no match for the amount of walking that you do inside this building that just feels like it goes on forever. My kid has some dietary issues and they've gone above and beyond to make sure that they get meals that are avoiding cross-contamination. Everyone's been really nice so far. I'm sure we will be back for other things in the future.

This hospital is located in Altamonte Springs, FL, which is a 54 minute drive from my house. When I left to go to this appointment on July 16th, 2026, I was not aware that this was an appointment that I needed to fast for. I'm certain that they must have told me that I needed to fast for appointment when they initially called me for scheduling, but I just didn't remember. I do remembered them telling me that the PET Scan would take 90 minutes to complete, but I did not remember them telling me anything about needing to fast for PET Scan. I was using a driving service to take me to this appointment, and when we arrived at this hospital, we were several hours early. We decided to get something to eat while we were waiting. My driver is a friend of mine by now, because we've already taken so many trips together since we first met, around February of 2026, and she even double checked with me to see if I needed to be fasting for this PET Scan. I looked at my notes, and I couldn't find anything that indicated I needed to be fasting. In hindsight, I should have called the Imaging department at the hospital and asked them if I needed to fast, just to be certain that I didn't need to be fasting. We ended up going to a great local restaurant, and we had a delicious lunch. We ate our lunch quickly, and then headed back to AdventHealth hospital. Upon entering the hospital I headed to the right where I saw a desk area with staff working behind it. I was immediately greeted by two of the staff members behind the desk. I gave them my name, and I told them that I was here for a PET Scan. They checked their computer system, and then they directed me to a check in window, at the left hand side of the hospital lobby. After I arrived at the window, I was greeted by a friendly gentleman staff member, who checked me in, gave me a hospital wrist band, and then directed me over to the waiting area for the imaging department of the hospital, which was just ahead of his window. I had just enough time to snap some pictures of this breathtakingly beautiful AdventHealth hospital. Once I was finished, I sat down in a seat near a tall window with a view of a reflecting pool, and a nearby water fountain that was located outside of the building, near the outside seating area. Once I sat down, a few moments passed before staff member named Stephanie called my name. I walked over to her and greeted her. Right away Stephanie asked me if I was fasting, and I told her that I just had lunch. She said that unfortunately I need to be fasting for at least 4 hours before having a PET scan, and so she said that we could go to the back and she would help me reschedule my appointment. After we went to the back, Stephanie had me take a seat and she left momentarily to go make a list of potential days and times, so that we could reschedule my appointment. I called my driver to find a day and time that worked for her, and we were able to schedule a new appointment. Stephanie then escorted me out to the lobby of the gorgeous hospital. Stephanie was a very kind and understanding staff member, and she treated me so well. Despite not being able to get my PET Scan, I had a great experience, from the time that I walked into the hospital, to the point that I left the hospital.

It's Sunday and she's been here without her HEART medicine and without a doctor that can care for her for days. this is the third incident where this facility seems understaffed and or the staff seems disengaged until they realize it's serious... originally I was going to complain about how uncomfortable the fold out bed was, how none of the chargers worked or went to phones from this decade, or how there was no microwave or fridge for me to store my food in, or how when we first got here there a a " respiratory risk" for my sister and the sign on her door said we should be wearing masks / gowns and yet I had to go find someone to get me a mask before entering and once I was inside there was my nephew visiting his mom, maskless... The communication has been absolute worst between staff and us. I had to OVERHEAR her dietary restrictions between changing crew, although ppl saw me bringing her food. and then I was told I couldn't heat the food I brought us in the microwave bc of said risk... but it wasn't serious enough to follow the mask protocol... and she was here for her HEART not her lungs... The cafeteria is the absolute worst I've ever seen and yeah, I wish I'd trusted my gut and driven her to winter park or ORMC. I have never had a good experience at this place. please don't bring your loved ones here if it's serious ****update Still no echocardiogram. And the hospital is under a code red. No communication on how soon we can expect one, how many more days she'll be here ... AND they forgot to feed her this morning. Again the diagnosis was congestive heart failure and her RESTING HEART RATE is 167-175!!!! I'm begging them, if you don't have the staff/ ability to treat her just say that so we can go elsewhere. I'm literally packing up to head to Winnie Palmer now fingers crossed they're able to see her as quickly as they were my partner who I also had to pull out of advent health SOUTH and head to Winnie Palmer where they promptly saw and treated her . Update 10:28 am Sunday Someone, idk who this time, walked in, didn't introduce themselves say why they were there or anything and just rolled a machine in an said Amanda our nurse who has been very helpful would be in shortly.... This is a review of the administration of the hospital and how they are severely understaffed and undertrained on bedside manner and at least a SENSE of perceived urgency. That last part is nonexistent

The campus is incredibly spacious -- almost too spacious sometimes because it's so easy to get lost! The architecture and overall layout are beautiful, and you can really tell a lot of thought went into creating a welcoming environment. They're currently expanding and building another tower, which is honestly mind-blowing to see. Being so close to Disney, you can feel that "magical" atmosphere they're trying to create for patients, families, and staff alike. The staff are great, and the gift shop is always a nice stop. There's a café and a cafeteria -- the food is pretty typical hospital food, so I wouldn't expect a five-star chef experience. It can be a bit pricey, and while it's decent, it could definitely be a little better -- but that's pretty common for most hospitals. I truly enjoyed my time working there, even though it was brief, and I still enjoy visiting. One thing that always gets me is how easy it is to get lost, especially around the different "neighborhoods" -- I swear I'm always wandering around Neighborhood C trying to figure out where I'm going. On the plus side, the gym is phenomenal -- huge, well-equipped, and such a great resource for both patients and staff. Overall, it's a beautiful facility with great energy, amazing growth, and a unique atmosphere that makes every visit memorable.

She asked for the purpose of my visit... I repeated what was in my digital kiosk registration finished 30 seconds earlier... walk-in lab tests. She told me I could not have lab tests done because labs had closed 15 minutes earlier. So the website states walk-ins until 2pm but apparently in reality, walk-ins actually stop at 1:15pm, maybe even earlier??? Nobody at reception told me I was too late, the sign in registration kiosk didn't tell me I was too late, and according to the website as a walk-in, I arrived with plenty of time to spare... hmmm. Reception might want to say something about being too late when you tell them you are there to take walk-in lab tests... perhaps when you select walk-in lab tests at the kiosk, the kiosk should inform you that you are too late. Where the webpage has a list of hours for walk-in lab tests, maybe it could possibly state hours are just some kind of pretend approximation. If this is how they treat patients or this reflects their attention to patient care, treatment, etc., I really hope I never end up taken here in an emergency. Imagine going to Burger King where hours listed on the door state open until 9pm but when you walk in at 8:15pm (45 minutes before closing), they tell you the grills were shut off at 8pm and will be cleaned 15 minutes from now at 8:30pm, and that the 9pm listed on the door is when the last employee locks the door as they head out for the night.

One supervisor told me that once they billed the insurance company and got paid my self pay status of getting a discount was null. If that's the case do what the anesthesiologist did and REFUND my money!!! What a racket and terrible business practice this hospital is running. Now I will wait another 45 days while you keep collecting countless insurance payments and never calling me back with the status. Stay away if you need your money and have a choice to go elsewhere. I feel VERY very cheated even though the doctor took responsibility, the hospital thinks it's okay to do wrong and make the patient keep paying! Ridiculous....

Very kinda nurses and staff. Lots of smiles and helpful individuals. Put out positivity and it…read moreshould come back ten fold. Be nice to the staff and they'll be nice back.
