Always fun to play with an unknown if they are engaging, Ray was. Pace of play was perfect, we only waited on 3-4 holes (minimal). Finished at 1:55pm so just under 4 hours. Greens don't move much and were quick in some spots but overall rolled great. Really enjoyed the round!

The greens and fairways were like carpets, the rough was thick but not terribly penalizing, and the sand was beautiful. All of that said, the course is not easy. The greens rolled true but gripped the ball some, and some of the holes had a lot of sand. My partner commented that the back nine felt like "Florida golf." It has a lot of water and natural penalties. Among the best kept courses I've played. I recommend visiting this course if you're staying on Hilton Head, especially if you're in Palmetto Dunes-- it's right in the neighborhood.

Went there Saturday to pick up at the time the technician said it would be ready. It was not. Then went Monday. Still not ready.The golf club repair shop was closed. Hunter, one of th Associates (or he could be manager) saw me and came over from another department in the store to open specially for me. He apologized on behalf of the store for the delay and immediately fixed my driver and even gripped a putter for me that I had just brought in. He took care of everything on the spot and returned my clubs within 15 minutes. Hunter is the perfect example customer service, being pleasant and truly concerned with making things right for customers. I'll make sure to point out this expierience to my fellow members at my Golf Club. A big thank you to Hunter.

We're just getting into golfing, so I can't compare this to any other club rental or talk much about the quality of the clubs (they seemed great to me, but I'm a rookie!), but the service was fantastic and the price was incredibly reasonable. The guys were friendly and helpful, and when we booked an afternoon tee time on the day our clubs were due back, they let us drop them off at the clubhouse upstairs without any issue. When the clubs finally came in, he promised to ship immediately. I called a week later...he said he forgot? The clubs were shorter than my old clubs and he said they were perfect. The manufacturer's rep was at our club for a demo day and assured me the clubs were at least an inch too short. I couldn't hit them. Chris offered to fix them but by then, I didn't trust him. My pro put extensions in. I now have a set of $3800 clubs that have been patched. Chris sent $275 as an accommodation. Please be careful.

On vacation in Hilton Head and played Oyster Reef for our first round of the week. Unfortunately,…read moreit was a very disappointing experience and definitely not worth the money. The greens had recently been aerated and did not roll well at all. There were also multiple holes where maintenance staff were actively working in the middle of the fairways while we were trying to play. We tried several times to get their attention so we could hit safely, but no one moved out of the way. The biggest issue happened on hole #5. After someone in our group simply asked whether golfers had the right of way on the fairway, one of the maintenance staff members approached us and became extremely confrontational. He proceeded to intentionally yell during our swings and then threatened to "f*** us up"--his exact words. Completely unacceptable behavior from an employee at any golf course, especially one charging these rates. To top it off, hole #9 was under construction and played significantly shorter than normal with a temporary green. After the round, we decided to give the clubhouse a chance and sat down at the bar planning to order food and drinks. We sat there for about 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging or helping us. The staff were busy cleaning tables instead, so eventually we just got up and left. We completely understand that course maintenance and aeration are necessary, but between the course conditions, construction, lack of service after the round, and especially the behavior of the staff member on #5, this was an extremely poor experience from start to finish. We won't be returning to Oyster Reef. It would be helpful for the course website to update current conditions for other players moving forward.

I recently went in there to buy a Bowtech Core SS but ended up leaving with their last Hoyt RX-9 Ultra. I come in here for tuneups on my old bow Diamond Infinite Edge and now my new bow as well. When I bought my new bow they easily adjusted my smaller bow for my son even though he wasn't present. With some minor shooting on my own it was zeroed for him when he got to shoot it. Great team great shop great atmosphere. They have high end and entry level gear and equipment and won't always recommend what's most expensive but what most works for you. They gave me an awesome bow when I bought the hat though.
