I am in total shock at how completely ridiculous this group is. I called to set an appt for my daughter who can barely walk from a huge cyst in her groin. I explained the urgency and pain and the person that answered the phone said the best she could do is first week of October!! A girl can barely walk and to them there is no reason to fit her in or make an effort to help her. Immediately the person started trying to explain it would take one visit to diagnose and then a second visit to treat??? Pretty sure she meant one visit to see what your financial and insurance status is then another visit to double charge you. I would never be able to recommend this group with a clear conscience. read more

Below is a letter I wrote to the office manger after my husband and I went in for our last appointments. She did respond back, but it was entirely insufficient. I really wanted this information to get to Dr. Cely to make her aware how the staff are ruining her practice. But it seems its impossible to get it to her personally. This was not my first problem with this office. Have had problems being seen in a timely manner and getting return phones calls to the nurse or PA. Now we have to find a new doctor after having just been established with Dr. Cely. We came in for our annual appointment today, which was scheduled last year. After about 10 minutes of staring at her computer screen and not speaking to us, the person at the check in (short sandy hair) informed us that we did not have appointments today. She said a letter was sent. Obviously we didn't get it. Our address has changed but mine should have been updated in your system as I've been in the office since we moved and provided that information. No apology from her. I think that's the worst part. She just insisted you'd sent a letter. She said it would be a very long time before we could be rescheduled. So you canceled and now want to make it as inconvenient as possible for us to reschedule? Not cool. After our protesting, the scheduler next to her must have had a cancellation because she offered that to one of us for the next morning. But then she could not find an appointment for the other one and had to put me on a call list! Really? Her attitude was about as uncaring as a potato. A potato might have cared more. After we left, I knew I would not be back as I just can't deal with that kind of attitude. Condescending, uncaring, unapologetic. My husband decided he can't either. We should have asked to speak to the office manager, but then thought, it was probably the office manager that approved mailing letters instead of calling patients to inform them of a cancellation and reschedule them at the same time. That's no way to treat your patients and I am sure that wouldn't be acceptable if we did that to you. My husband said it wasn't worth his time to have this conversation...but I am letting you know on the off chance that you are not aware of how your front desk staff and scheduling office is treating your patients. read more

I so appreciate the care and professionalism from the various doctors at Savannah River Dermatology. The doctor who usually sees me is thorough and so very kind. She is always aware of the best meds for skin cancer and what to do about each issue I have. I have also been seen by one o the dermatologists who removes cancers. She did an amazing job taking a basel cell cancer from my nose. Again, such care and professionalism. Over all I am very impressed by Savannah River Dermatology and the treatment that I have received there over the last 2 years. Thanks for a job well done!!! read more

I have been a patient there since June of this year. Yesterday I came back to pay my Bill. On the front Desk I told the Lady on the left side to pay my bill. She turn around and told me to wait, after she took care of the Gentleman behind me, when she was done, she called me to the front Desk and said, I can help you now, I looked at here and she said I have to take care of the patient first, I told here, I am a patient to, at this time was not happy that all. She looked like she don't want to be there, no greeting or smile. I like Dr Sarah Cely and will return to her. The Front Desk need to have an better attitude, because Clients have an option to go somewhere else. Thank you read more

I called Savannah River dermatology on yesterday from Virginia Beach for my 81 year old father, that lives in Augusta Georgia. My father had been seen a Dermatology for over a year and the issue has gotten worse... his last visit to the OTHER doctor ..advised him to pick up some over-the-counter cream....CRAZY DOCTOR !!! Savannah River Dermatology's scheduling clerk, the nurse practitioner and the person answer the phone was so caring and loving regarding my 81 year old father's skin issue... I advised her, I needed an appointment ASAP.. she stated at her earliest appointment was next year.. but I guess she felt my pain over the phone... that I needed to get my father in to see a Dermatology ASAP.... Bless her heart, she scheduled him for this morning!!!! The nurse practitioner took her time and listen to all of his symptoms with patient and love..... and advised him, if he wasn't feeling better to personally call her back!!!! Thank you, thank you Savannah River Dermatology office !!! kudos to YOUR EXCELLENT STAFF and your bedside manner!! read more

I agree with previous post. Since the move, the office staff are awful. Surely it's not the same staff? Dr. D. should know that they don't ask you if you want to schedule next apt as you're leaving. She's booked, so it's probably not a big deal. If rude staff run off patients, that lightens her load. And the new space is not at all comfortable. Wonder if they like it? Seems cramped. Maybe that's why the staff is so pissy. read more

I had a 9:15 appointment ( which is only 1 hour after they open ) and arrived at 9:10 and sat their with a room full of other patients until 10:10 when I went to the desk and asked why I was not seen yet and was told the dr. was running late. how do you run at least 1 hour late after being open for only 1 hour. they need to look in a mirror and ask themselves would I like to be treated this way. would they like to wait for at least 1 hour for a fire truck or a police man. do they think their time is more valuable then everyone else. this is not the first time this has happened I guess it's all about the money and how many fools they can pack into the office and treat like crap. read more

My doc here is Sarah Cely. She just wants patients to keep coming back. Myself and my family member that referred me began talking about our experiences recently, & we are on the same page! We both have told Dr. Cely we needed the Rx that works for us & EVEN the prescriptions that SHE had prescribed to us HERSELF that worked! Yet, she won't prescribe those medication again. Since we can't get what we know works, we have gone somewhere else. That is ridiculous. Why make us suffer w/ skin conditions for your own pockets! It's wrong! read more

I'm fairly new to this office but I've had nothing but a good experience at this practice. I read the letter written by someone who apparently had a bad experience which surprised me because of the kind and caring treatment I've experienced. I've also taken my 86 yr old mother in and she also was treated very kindly. I feel like those treating are very competent. read more
