There was clearly an audience front even though the stadium is 360 and we were in one of the front sections. Great entertainment value with lots going on visually. Fun game. Took about 15 minutes to get through security/front doors when we arrived at 6PM (door opening time). Parking nearby was $40 but rideshare dropped us off right near the line to get in.

It gets very loud at the Toyota center with fans constantly cheering and screaming and rooting for their home team. Plus u have the rowdy rudies who are constantly shouting chanting slogans, keeping the fans in the game. The half time show is a lot of fun to watch with different contests going and usually a half court shot. At this game they had a battle of bands. Also there was aerobic show of dunks. They also had the rockets power girls dancing away and putting up a show. Throughout the game, there is constant interaction with the fans and all of it is displayed on the big titan tron tv screens. Also around third quarter, the cheer leaders bring fan gear and souvenirs and throw them in the stands for fans to catch. It's a lot of fun to attend a game and I highly recommend other yelpers to attend. Plus plenty of food and drinks and souvenir shops, make it a worthwhile visit for all the fans. Go rockets!!! #clutchCity

Home of the…read moreHouston Astros and one of the most passionate fan bases in baseball, the energy hits you the moment you walk through the gates. My first impression was total sensory overload in the best possible way. Everywhere you look, there's Astros gear, vendors, and fans proudly decked out in orange and navy. The massive team store alone could keep you occupied for hours. With seating for more than 40,000 fans, the sheer size of the crowd was impressive. As an added bonus, the first 10,000 ticket holders received a free Carlos Correa bobblehead. This visit was part of a girls' weekend packed with fun, including an Astros game and even a bodybuilding competition. It made for a memorable mix of adventures. Food options go far beyond traditional ballpark fare like hot dogs and nachos. Fans can enjoy favorites such as Whataburger, Chick-fil-A, Pluckers, and Blue Bell Ice Cream from nearby Brenham, Texas. It also happened to be Barbie Day, and the Upper Concourse bar got into the spirit with themed drink specials. The Astros faced the Cleveland Guardians, and although the Guardians came away with the win, the game itself was only part of the total experience. Between the electric atmosphere, enthusiastic fans, and nonstop entertainment, Daikin Park delivered a fun and memorable day at the ballpark for our girls trip.

I rank ballparks on 4 categories: Architecture, Food, fan base, and what I call other. Architecture: On the outside, it's kind of blah but inside it has some charm. It has a retractable roof, but I have never seen the roof open which loses some appeal for me. I love the big window in left field and the train that runs from left to center. It was cooler when it was full of oranges though. Food: Solid. All of the standard foods and some crazy stuff. My buddies got a blooming onion that had burnt ends, cheese, sour cream and chives on top. They said it was great. I got brisket donuts which were not the best to me. Basically, breaded brisket shaped into a donut, deep fried and drizzled in bbq sauce. The beer selection was very good with Karbach and St Arnold, 2 local breweries each having a tap room on site. Fan Base: The place was full and the fans were all into the game. Lots of orange everywhere. Other: Close to all the downtown hotels, the convention center, lots of bars and restaurants including 3 breweries. Fun tip: get a 15.00 tab at Frost Town Brewing and get free parking for the game. Oh, and this place has more advertisements than NASCAR. The only place left they can put up an ad are the bases. " Altuve slides into second base brought to you by Imodium AD"
