I have not visited Longevity for myself, so this review is from the perspective of a pet owner - I hope that's helpful to some like me that may be dealing with a sick or older pet. I was recommended to Longevity by my vet because I was looking for a very hard to find antibiotic. I had called 4 other pharmacies with no luck, apart from Safeway who told me they *might* be able to find the powder for compounding in 7-10 days. I called Longevity and they were able to get the medication within a day. When that medication didn't go over very well with my dog (super hard on her system), they were able to quickly compound a new prescription of a liquid antibiotic for me, and even offered to make it chicken or beef flavoured. We went with beef and my dog actually really seems to like it, which was a pleasant surprise. They also managed to get this compounded very quickly as I only had my lunch break to pick up the prescription and medication and was anxious to start my dog on it ASAP, which I really appreciated. Pharmacist-wise, I've only really interacted with Aman, but he is kind, patient, a great communicator, and has what my mom would call the E-gene (empathy). They always seem to be a bit busy, but he never makes you feel like he doesn't have time to answer questions, and has gone out of his way to make me feel as comfortable as possible with both the medications themselves, and the prices I'd be paying for them - always checking in to let me know if they'd be fairly expensive, as I don't have pet insurance and pay out of pocket. This has been a really difficult time, and the pharmacy was not a place I expected to find this level of kindness. I am just really appreciative of the patience and effort shown, and feel like my dog has been treated with the same sense of urgency and care a human would receive. I know my vet already recommends everyone here, but if you're a pet owner, definitely keep this place in mind next time you need medication.

Went into this Uptown New Westminster location of 'London Drugs' recently. Arrived at about 9 am…read more(the store opens at 8 am) - I had some shopping 'thoughts' within two departments in mind. First stop -- to cosmetics - seeking a particular body lotion for my lady. Success - found it, took it over to the nearest available service counter, and paid for it. Second stop -- to computer sales & service - seeking computer-related 'looks, info, and help' at some specific products for myself, and daughter. I looked around, and being the only customer within the department at the time, after a while, with no offer of any help coming my way, thought I was being ignored. I eventually decided to walk over and stand almost directly in front of the lone salesperson there at the time. Not sure why, but it seemed his helping me, was very secondary to whatever it was he was doing at the time. His lack of interest, was definitely not a good start to any shopping I had in mind!! I asked about one item, and received some help. But beyond that, little of any interest from him, in the interest / enquiries I was expressing re: other computer stuff being considered. I decided it was 'out of there' time. Just wondering, had I been 'profiled', and deemed not worthy of any effort of service?

I told the person that was…read moresuppose to get my order ready that I would be coming to pick up my meds through the week. on April 25 which was a Saturday I went to pick up my refill only to be told that there was no order for me. as you can expect, I was not happy but the girl said that she would fill it in 15 minutes. I told her I would wait in the car. after 10 minutes I went back in the store and I told her I find this pharmacy very disorganized. she then told me that she would not fill my prescription and that if I wanted my meds that I could transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy. so I went to another pharmacy and had everything transferred to them with no problem. I am very glad that I made the transfer because I have been having many problems with pharmasave. when I phoned in to refill my medication in the past most of the time they were short one of my meds and I would have to return another day. this was very inconvenient for me as I live out of town. This pharmacy is the willow park pharmasave in Leduc, Alberta. To make sure that I would get all my meds at the same time, I would phone in my refills a week ahead of time but this time was the last straw. they have very poor service and nobody there cares. in the fall, I went for my flu shot and I was told that there was no pharmacist available for a half hour because he was on a break. so I had to go to another pharmacy to get my shot. I am so very glad that I made the move to a more organized pharmacy and do not have to deal with them any more. I highly recommend not to go to this pharmacy because first of all, they do not care for their patients and they are very rude.

And the saga continues!…read more ALL WITHIN the last TWO weeks: 1. I requested a six-month supply of one Rx: SDMart gave me only ONE month. 2. TWICE, when the insurance co. said it would cover only part of the cost of a six-month supply, SDMart unilaterally CANCELLED the prescriptions, without notifying me! 3. After being told that a Rx had been filled, I arrived to find out it hadn't been: they didn't have ENOUGH IN STOCK and would have to order more. "Come back tomorrow." 4a. SDMart employees ENTERED WRONG dates several times on one Rx, so when a six-month supply was requested, the insurance company said it wouldn't cover the cost. 4b. I was told that in order to get that supply, I'd have to pay over $1000! Only after I asked the pharmacist to CHECK THE SYSTEM did he discover his employees' errors and rectify them. As a result, the cost to me was reduced to $280: a rather significant difference! Sooooo frustrating!

Every time I come, the biggest challenge is to get someone's attention first. There are always multiple workers behind the counter, either talking to each other, or staring blankly at their computer screens, all resolutely ignoring my attempt to make eye contact. When finally one of them grudgingly moves over to help, I am made to feel like a bother to be dealt with. Earlier today, I went to pick up a refill, there seemed to be some hold-up with the customer before me. Workers were giving each other exasperated looks. Nobody offered any explanation what the problem was. Nobody acknowledged or offered help to other customers in line, even though at least 3 people were working there, 2 of whom were just shuffling stuff on the shelves. I gave up waiting. Honestly I only come here because it's the closest to my home and my doctor sends my prescriptions here by default. I kept thinking my bad experience could be a one-off and they deserved a second chance. But I have to say they have never ceased to disappoint!!! Enough is enough! If you're reading this, do yourself a favor and never subject yourself to the horrendous experience this pharmacy has waiting for you.

I did get a chance to walk around and take a look at the store. It sells medical supplies like wheel chairs, special potty, cane and etc. This is also a pharmacy so you can fill your prescription here if needed too. Parking is a bit of a pain. It is not connected to Metrotown and is a building on the side of Metrotown but share the same parking lot. I had a tough time finding a parking space and it was somewhat annoying. The people there were friendly.
