When I got home I noticed that ALL the fruit that was given to me was moldy and rotten. I had gotten bree cheese that was expired and most everything was expired for about 3 to 4 days already and there was a lot of sweets and candy....... not much to feed a family of 4 on. However 2 gallons of milk are still good for 7 more days. My Mother used to tell me beggars cant be choosy, but moldy/rotten food is like a slap in the face when your already feeling down and out. I thank all the very friendly people working and volunteering.

Instead of educating me, as I didn't know it was not ok to get on a mini, my son is 1 1/2, my son does not ride him all the time. He got on him a few times. The person I got him from broke him and rode him all the time. I'm assuming she thought we rode him which is not the case. He is a pet like our dog and grazes out. For her to scold me as she did and didn't even hear what I was saying and hung up on me, is very disrespectful. Definitely a crazy person. I foster, volunteer and take very good care of all my animals. Thankfully, I'm able to get a mini from somewhere else that needs a good home. I was trying to do it here so they can have a good life, but obviously this person has major issues and this is the type of person that goes crazy on someone for no reason. My mini is so well taken care of, loved and is a family member. Psychopath didn't even let me finish speaking. Response to Jeanie's lies: I absolutely did not try to educate you that it was OK to ride a small horse like that . You sound ignorant. "I tried to educate you" The fact that you're lying is very disturbing. To make it very clear again we do not ride him, I specifically said he came from a situation where he was ridden all the time, they broke him to ride and they stopped caring about him. Now he is a pet. Not mad at all you don't want to adopt to me, I have plenty of options. What is irritating to me is that you yelled at me and hung up on me. I am a grown woman and you sound like an older woman. But your behavior is that of a child. You started screaming at me and hung up on me. I was trying to talk and you were talking over me. You heard what you wanted to hear. No wonder you have so many minis in your care. It's hard to deal with you. We're fine with not adopting from you. We have an appointment to see another mini today. Unbelievable rescue organization who are going above and beyond for our community. Their large…read moreanimal evacuation resulted in 250 animals evacuated from the Palisades and Eaton Fires. Viva answered the calls from us desperate residents of the Palisades who were unable to enter the burn zone to retrieve our animals from our still standing homes. Many without food and water for over 6 days. Viva Rescue was acknowledged by LACC and one of the few rescue groups granted entry into the Palisades because of their experience in safely trapping fire cats in the burn zones and sustaining them with feeding stations until they can be trapped. Trapping fire cats is very different from typical TNR trapping as proven by the Tubbs Fire, Camp Fire, Woolsey Fire and Lahaina Fire. Their experience has proved invaluable and we are incredibly grateful to be reunited with our pets. I know I am. Thank you Viva Rescue! After a few bad experiences, I finally contacted Retriers & Friends. Best decision I've ever made. They matched me up with Marcie, a 4 year old Chihuahua Mix. That was May 5th. That facility is the most beautiful place and any dog is lucky if they end up there. They are so loving and caring for each animal. It's only been a month and Marcie is my loyal companion. I also visited the store twice in a two week time span and no patches that were needed for my daughter's vest ever came in. Not fun patches but ones she actually needed like the American flag, one of the pins, and some other item they were out of. They took my name and number but I am so glad I didn't pay ahead of time.
