This was very helpful so I didn't have to spend all afternoon waiting for them to come. The two gentlemen that arrived on time were professional, friendly and very careful removing heavy furniture. When I asked about several dogs that had been on the website for a long time, they said he would need a backyard. As a single apartment tenant in Boston who has had 10+ years owning a dog actively walking him every day, I think this was ridiculous as so many people have dogs in Boston and take better care of them than some folks I know from my hometown. Isn't it better for a dog to go to a nice home for the rest of its life than have it be sheltered or move from foster to foster home? Why did you approve me then?

In addition to being the office of over 40 nonprofits, it also has meeting space available for other nonprofits to use (you do not have to be a tenant). I've been to meeting here sponsored by Tech Networks of Boston, Women in Development (fundraising), The Communications Network, Public Relations Society of America, and Third Sector New England. The event space is great, but my one warning is to triple check the microphones with the nonprofit center events staff if you have speakers. About half the times I've been to events there, audio problems occurred, so I always sit in the front to be sure I can hear. I'm jealous of the employees of the nonprofits in this building! What a lovely place to work!

I donate whole blood and the whole process takes an hour from checking in to finish. I recommend completing the Rapidpass online to save some time. Once you check in you wait in the waiting area for your name to be called. Then they take you into a back room and ask some of the same questions as the Rapidpass. Next, they do a fingerstick to check your hemoglobin and get a full set of vitals (pulse, blood pressure, temperature). After donating blood, they offer you snacks and sometimes a free shirt. The only downside is that parking can be tough to find. I recommend coming on a Sunday when it's less busy and to get the free meter parking.
