I was visiting Florida for 2 weeks and was told by my MD dentist that I needed a root canal the day before my departure. The entire process from Monica at the front desk who answered by initial call and Cecilia who assisted, the staff was very helpful, reassuring and professional. I had an early morning appt . The office wasn't really open yet but the lobby was open for patients. The lady greeted me & was nice. I was called not long after as I did have an appointment. I was in to see if I could save a tooth with a root canal. I was told by the specialist Juan Savelli unfortunately I could not & he explained why. I was shown the scan & he spent time with me telling me the truth & my other options. I was so grateful for his Honesty & surprised of it really. Most of my experiences with dentist, specialists have been a sales pitch. But this guy (specialist) was AWSOME & really has pride in his work. He cares about his patients & is honest about the situation you're in. I highly recommend him if you need a root canal or specialist for anything. I was also given the scan before leaving his office! I didn't have to ASK or told they'd send it on to who I go to. Like what is usually done ! Even though you paid for it. He offered the scan up right away & gave a recommendation on who to go to next. I was charged approximately $500 more than my medicare insurer notified me was what co-pay should have been. The dentist has a contract with the insurer and should know what is covered and what the co-pay should be. I will be reporting him to the medicare insurer. I did contact the dentist to try and work out the problem, but was not provided any help. read more

Great experience at this office! Superb dentist and a friendly office staff. Had a fractured tooth that urgently needed a root canal. They worked with me to schedule an appointment quickly, which saved me a lot of potentially painful days. Overpriced. Staff said they would accept my dental insurance but then charged my regular medical plan which doesn't cover my root canal. Therefore, I was charged full price. This should have been stated before the work was done. I was overcharged $1290 & I will be telling everyone about this. read more

Dr Savelli saved a crown that has bothered me since the day it was placed. Fantastic experience, state of the art equipment and a truly pain free completion of a complex root canal. Dr. Savelli is an excellent dental surgeon, and we have been to quite a few. He is thoughtful of patients' concerns and explains every procedure in detail. It was my first root canal and was very nervous about having pain. The doctor told me my canal was curvy and somewhat complex. He said he done 10,000 cases like mine and felt comfortable doing my root canal but would need me to come in for two visits to complete the work. He used local anesthesia and had no pain during the procedure or after. They made me comfortable with a pillow which helped as was in the chair for 2 hours. The second visit asked for the neck pillow from the beginning for my neck the Doctor used local anesthesia again with minimal pain. Very happy with the staff and Doctor. They made my root canal a good experience and would not hesitate to recommend him to others. read more

I can't say enough about my visits with Dr. Savelli! He's a true professional in every sense of the word. He's very meticulous in his work and takes the necessary time with each patient. I had a terrible pain in my mouth that I couldn't pinpoint right away. Dr. Savelli was careful enough to see me three times to ensure that I needed a root canal, and only after careful inspection each visit did he finally move forward with the procedure. Dr. Savelli agreed to see my on a Friday before the 4th of July, for an emergency root canal. Part of my tooth had broken off, and it was painful, and we were leaving for Hawaii in just a few days. He started the root canal, but with the microscope he saw that the tooth was fractured, and would eventually have to be removed. He said he could proceed and do the full root canal and crown it, ($1600) but that it would only last a couple months to a year if that before the pain came back and the tooth had to be removed, or I could have the tooth removed then with a partial root canal ($500). Since there was no way to save my tooth in the long run and it was a tooth in the back of my mouth, I decided to have it removed. He contacted an Oral Surgeon and I had it removed that day. I had a very positive experience in his office, I felt he was warm and professional. I had no problems with the Novocaine, or during the partial root canal. I had no pain for any procedure he did. I'm thankful that he squeezed me in with the other patients he had. Definitely recommend! read more

I have been to a lot of dentists, but this one is the absolute worse i have ever had. My dentist sent me for a root canal and when I went there with an x-ray he said he couldn't even see an infection, then after banging on my teeth and causing me terrible pain he decided to drill (should have left when I had the chance) then he said it was the worse infection he ever had. First he gave me about 5 injections and couldn't even get the nerve numb, then couldn't even do the root canal. He then said he couldn't do the root canal without a CT scan which he just happen to have in his office for an extra $200.00. to do the CT scan they asked me to take off my earrings and one of the girls in the office stole my earrings that I didn't realize until after i left the office. when he finished the CT scan said it was to late to finish that HE was tired and we would finish the next day. HE WROTE ME A PRESCRIPTION FOR HYDROCODONE AND AN ANTIBIOTIC AND STARTED FREAKING OUT ABOUT HOW I MAY GET AN INFECTION. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I WENT HOME AND CALLED MY DENTIST AND HE COULDN'T BELIEVE ALL THAT HAD HAPPENED AND TOLD ME NOT TO GO BACK. I WASN'T PLANNING ON IT ANYWAY. I FIRED HIM AND WENT TO ANOTHER ENDODONTIST IN PALM BEACH GARDENS AND IT WAS A BREEZE. THIS GUY IS A BUTCHER..BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
