I recently visited this Savers and found tons of great stuff. Many flippers seem frustrated by the rising prices, as it's cutting into their profit margins and allowing Savers to retain more of the value instead of them. As a former flipper, I say good for Savers and the outreach they do in the community. I still found the prices to be a good deal overall. As with any thrifting adventure, it just takes a little extra effort to inspect each item carefully and discover a hidden gem. The thrill of finding a treasure remains, and it's still worth the hunt if you are going for personal use. I found top brands for reasonable prices (Patagonia long sleeved shirt with tags for $10.99, Ecko sweatshirt from Nordstrom Rack with tags for $8.99, etc.) I found a Lord of the Rings tee, Stephen King Pet Cemetery tee, Betsey Johnson long-sleeve, and several cool band concert shirts for less than $8 apiece. This location and the surrounding Savers within an hour radius are fantastic hunting grounds for the casual treasure hunter. read more

The prices at this Savers are astronomical! So many customers in the store were audibly complaining about the pricing. There were a a set of lamps priced at $45 each. That's $90 for a pair of lamps. I saw a piece of art work behind their counter that was priced at 99.99. A chipped piece of pottery for $13.00. Old craft books for 6.49. I am completely disenchanted. Raised prices are inevitable- gouging people who depend on thrift store prices is disgusting. read more

VHS with a DI price tag for .50, re-donated and sold at Savers for $3.50. A $3 markup on an expired item. DVDs for $4, that's fine. You can buy a DVD player for $20, or Savers has a bunch of them. VCRs are rare and no longer made. read more

I come here frequently, and I always end up leaving unhappy. The prices are always steep, and the workers walk around and watch everyone but somehow don't do their job of helping people. They don't do refunds for ANY circumstances, even if someone else bought the item you had just payed for. The workers will sit at the front and watch us the whole time, but when we accidentally left a frame, they're suddenly not watching to help us and to make sure we get all our itemslike come on they're getting payed for this job and don't even have customer service skills. SMH I've tried to give this place multiple chances but it's gotten even worse over time . Honorable mention to the older female manager, really appreciate the snarky attitude and the no help. I watched the MANAGER STEAL FROM A CUSTOMER today! a girl came in and was going to purchase a shirt and sell it online because she said it was collectors item. She was in front of me and showed me just to conversate while she was waiting for the staff to fix an issue she was dealing with. The manager came up behind her and listened to the conversation while he waited for her to finish her sentence with me. she was upset over a pair of pants they decided to double the cost while she was checking out. he told her to leave and that she couldn't buy any of her items. after she walked out he took her collectors item shirt , leaving the rest of her clothes on the counter and walked away with it under his arm. From one of the best stores to one of the abysmal, nasty smelling, greedy places around. Everything is priced more than you would find new. They literally sell people's actual trash, like empty spaghetti sauce containers, for 5x what it was when it had sauce in it. It was bold of thiis place to advertise like they were a non-profit for so many years, when they absolutely aren't and have never been operating as one, but to expect people to look past that while being this greedy is actually crazy. read more

I was shopping. Paid for all my things and about to leave when a manager walks up and rips off the tag of one of the items i had purchased. She then asks if I scanned the tag. I was so confused because I had and already paid. She wanted me to pay $7 more than what the tag said. She ripped up the tag so I couldn't see what the tag I had was for. Then she refunded me the now over priced item and didn't even give me the full refund, just a partial. I was so confused and mad I just left and won't be back. read more

Unfortunately this Savers has been increasing their pricing more and more over the past 4 years!! So much so that it is cheaper to shop for clothes at Ross and Walmart than this Savers!! Not only that but they are selling toys that are broken or missing pieces for almost full price knowing you cannot exchange any items other than clothing!! My kids bought a toy for $20 dollars with their own money (it sold for $35 new on Amazon) It was missing the main component that made the toy work! I called to see if they would make an exception and they said no. They basically stole my kids money! They have a toy they can't play with and are now out $20 dollars. Super disappointing. Literally the worst thrift store you can go to. They sell items from SHEIN for $15-$20- more than the item costs brand new. I found a stained old white t shirt for $17. I'm honestly just confused as to how anyone even goes there. The workers were rude- the store is filthy. I will never pay that much for used dirty sometimes ripped clothing. I purchased a pair of shoes, men's sandles. The price tag was attached to hold the shoes together, making it not possible to try them out, to walk, with that price tag attached. The receipt states that i could exchange the shoes with receipt and the attached price tag. I had both wishing to exchange the shoes, not realizing the price tag had to be "attached" to the shoes, making it not possible to try out the shoes. So, in reality, the shoes ARE NOT exchangable. I found some great clothing items here! I was also able to find a small vacuum cleaner for $5 and some practically brand new decorative pillows! I love thrift stores, you just have to have the patience to look through ALL the clothes in the sizes you are looking for, because things could be hiding that you may not initially see at first glance! read more

I went to this place seeing that there is a service dogs only sign. My service dog helps me in various ways with my disabilities. I heard a bark in the store and was immediately on edge. I was minding my business looking at items and the little dog started yapping at mine interrupting his tasking. Which is ILLEGAL! It caused a medical episode which made me not want to come back here. The one manager there said she wanted to kick them out but her upper management wouldn't let them. I had video proof yet the upper manager said they had to disrupt one more time to be kicked out. Are these guys on crack!? They used to be a great place to find a good deal. Been a few months since I've been in and dang! Thirty bucks for used ass sneakers! Idgaf if they "were" name brand. No soles left and dirty af. Now I know they have the Big Brother, Big Sister thing but why ya gotta screw people is just nuts. Not that this will help anyone. They'll still get tons of business but I'm just saying. And when you question a price of something like I did for a pair of sweats for 11 bucks and they give you sink eye... Nah I'm good. Savers usually has a pretty good selection of used clothing, but prices are way out of line with the DI and other thrift chains. Also, they tend to put ripped and tattered clothes on the rack with no appropriate discount, so examine your finds closely. read more

By far my favorite local thrift store. I always take in a donation so I can get a discount coupon. This location gets a lot of high end clothing and shoes. Staff is helpful and they seem to turn a ton of merchandise. With a coupon, you don't mind some of the higher priced stuff. Make sure to ask for your free club card to take advantage of special sales on Mondays. read more

Savers are always great for shopping in the used arena. Most of my wardrobe has come from the Savers or Value Village thrift stores chains. Last time we were there we got some great jeans for the teenage boys and a couple of wetsuits for summertime fun. The secret is you have to go in there looking for everything but at the same time looking for nothing. read more

I'm downgrading my previous review based on what I perceive as some serious greediness on the business side of Savers. It used to be you could bring in two plastic grocery-sized bags of clothing & get a tax deduction receipt as well as a coupon for 20% your next purchase. Then they started giving one-month expiration dates on their coupons, then they upped the requirement of how much you had to give and got really stingy, now they have dimensions of the size of bag you have to bring (24"!) and give you a punch card that starts at just 5% off with each sizable donation. Bring in a season's worth of clothing? You'll be lucky if you can get them to stamp you up to the 15% off mark. It feels like you are being bled dry - all of this for a place that runs on donations - really off-putting and ugly of them. read more

Ok, I admit, I may have been a bit harsh before. Ok some things are priced very badly and randomly and some quite bizarrely but I see where I went wrong before. You can not simply just go to Savers on any given day, that is a surefire way to spend more than you want. Savers hosts special discount days for card carrying members ( the card is free, just ask!) and on those days you can get up to 50% off with your membership. I only go on these days and I have scored huge deals on some amazing stuff. I am not an official Savers convert and I don't see any signs of going back. read more

Love, love, love Savers. For Ogden thrifting, it's as good as it gets. I love their furniture, housewares and toys. I have found some amazing things there, like a solid wood kitchenette for my daughter and the most badass Carmen San Diego board game ever! My dear friend introduced me to Savers a while ago. Until then, I hadn't even thought about stepping foot in the door. If only I had known what I was missing! I can't tell you how many J. Crew, Chicos, Loft, Ann Taylor, etc. clothing I've scored here. Just got back today from their 50% off clothing sale........again found some amazing bargains at even more amazing prices. Almost new Banana Republic cardigan for $4.00......yes, please. I've also found household items like the large (16x24) cross-stitched Lord's Prayer professionally matted and framed for $2.50 (no lie). I'm still talking about that find. read more

We went in around 6:30 to buy clothes and look around so when we found stuff we went to try everything on and one of the employees comes up to us and says "ladies were closed it's 7:06" being so rude. We tried explaining because we didn't know it closed at 7 but she wouldn't listen and just repeated the same thing. She also said "you can either buy those things or get out." So we put everything back and walked out, keep in mind there's 10 other people in the store and she only said it to us. She then walked out of the store after us and talked to us. So unnecessary and it didn't need to be a problem at all because we didn't do anything wrong. read more
