This thrift store has a lot of clothing - that is a pro. You have to be prepared to dig and look through it. The home section typically can have some type of win as well. The store itself feels dirty. The shoes are now at least $10 a pair. I found many for $15-$25 for USED shoes. The prices throughout are also pretty high compared to the DI. All the dresses were around $11-$18. This is a thrift store and I wish they would stop raising the prices! read more

I've visited this Savers location several times over the past year, and unfortunately, each visit has been marked by negative interactions with the staff. The women who stock the new clothing are consistently rude, and today's experience was particularly disappointing. While I was trying to navigate a narrow aisle--already tight due to another shopper with a baby in her cart and a clothing rack--one of the employees brusquely told me to move. As I tried to move without disturbing the other customer's cart, the employee reached over me to access the rack, making the situation feel even more uncomfortable and aggressive. I understand that stocking can be a demanding task, but there seems to be a lack of courtesy or consideration for customers. I'm not sure if this is a cultural misunderstanding or simply poor customer service, but it's become a pattern that's hard to ignore. read more

I've been to this location before a couple of years ago but decided to come here again on a whim (on a weekday, during the early afternoon, specifically on a Tuesday) and I feel like I hit the jackpot! It was definitely more busy than usual (especially coming here on a Tuesday, right after lunchtime) but I found some epic deals for sure! I found some cozy Aeropostale hoodies perfect for the fall/winter season coming up, found a cute fitted jacket, a cute blazer to go with jeans, and the best find of them all: authentic genuine leather cowboy boots, IN MY SIZE! Yes, it needs a bit of polishing, yes, it needs to be taken to the shoe cobbler to get a minor thing done. But guess what, I only spent thirteen dollars on it, which is phenomenal! Earlier this day I stopped by a more expensive thrift boutique. Saw a couple of cute cowboy boots, which cost between forty to fifty dollars. Then I had this thought, "hey Savers, is less than two miles from here, maybe I'll get lucky". Then stopped at Savers, then I found these boots! Completely love it at first sight, besides the price! So yes, sometimes, Savers is a hit and miss, but this visit was a definite HIT! Racks were neat and tidy. However, due to the pandemic, they do not have any fitting rooms available to try on clothes at this time. You just have to buy it, try it at home, and bring it back for a refund or exchange within 14 days of purchase. Have to bring back receipt with clothes and TAGS still on it. read more

Very unethical. We went looking for some clothes and employees told us that since they don't have dressing rooms we can buy the clothes then return within 2 weeks what doesn't fit. We confirmed this with at least 3 employees. A couple days later we returned the stuff and they said that they have never done returns, just exchanges. They also way overprice things. Facilities are absolutely disgusting. I have felt cleaner in a port a potty. They clearly haven't cleaned their store in some time. There is literal dried feces on the toilet seats. I have pictures but honestly I don't feel like it's something I would want someone to see. There was also feces covered toilet paper in the garbage and no soap in the sink. The floors are peeling up and dirt and who knows what else all over the place. Prices are also kind of a rip off on a lot of things. Better off going to a DI. read more

Firstly there is no changing room which I don't understand how we are supposed to buy clothes if we can't try them on and the return policy is that you can't return at all. Secondly all of the workers we interacted with were extremely rude. There is only self check out now which we were not able to get any help from the workers on the discounts. The workers that was there that wasn't helping us but instead gave a bunch of attitude that we were taking too long to remove the hangers on the clothes that we had to try on over our own clothes in the middle of the store. Savers is a large thrift store in Orem selling a wide selection of used clothing and home goods. This was my first experience shopping at a Savers and the store didn't seem as well organized as Deseret Industries stores and items also seemed to be more expensive. Products like electronics or toys were haphazardly thrown on the shelves, with no thought given to presentation or order. The store didn't seem very clean. And the prices I saw seemed more expensive than the DI. Not a great thrift store in my opinion. read more

I started coming to Savers more in the past few months as they were the only thrift store that was open in the area as DI's was still closed at that time. I didn't expect to find anything amazing but I have actually scored some good finds here recently. Including some lamp bases, and some cute boho hats. Some of the prices I found were a little high on some items, especially compared to DI's. But overall, once in a blue moon, I do find some treasures here. read more

I want to like this store. I used to buy super cheap and quality clothes here. But during COVID they took out their changing rooms completely. So I can't try on anything before buying it. I mostly shop at Savers for clothing. The clothing is very well organized and easy to find the items. They organize them by men's, women's, boys, girls. Also by type (ie: skirts, t-shirts, casual pants, jeans, capris, shorts) and by size. You can go right to what you are looking for. On certain holidays they have some great sales, like 50% off. I always stock up on those days. It gets pretty busy, so be prepared. There is also a color of tag on sale each week. I think it was 50% off all yellow tags today. Like most thrift stores, it is not super clean but I think they do the best they can. Pricing could be better but with sales that are always going on, you can usually find a good deal. read more

Look, I used to love this place and I have bought countless books and clothes there as a regular customer.... but I decided after today to not come back. Their return/exchange policy sucks. Yes I get it... no book exchanges period. And if you dont like it then don't shop there. Howevwr let me say this...It's no skin off their back if I want to trade a book straight across for another perfect-condition book that I bought less than 24 hours ago because I had a duplicate at home. They use the same tags for everything with the same scan codes for the same priced books. What an absolute joke. I even asked the worker if he will ask the manager about it to which he replied "I am the manager." I know he wasn't the manager though because I have talked to the real manager a number of times. They need to work on that policy because when policy comes before the customer it puts a very sour taste in the customer's mouth and they don't want to come back again. So disappointed right now. I just bought my last purchase there ever because I really did want what I was buying. But thanks to the complete lack of logic and customer service I will be taking my business elsewhere and recommending Deseret Industries to my friends and family. I understand when a store sets their hours of opening and closing customers should abide by it. I literally got here on a Sunday at 7:0p pm (they close at 7:00pm) and there was an employee (seemed like a bouncer the way they treated me) who stood by the door and locked it up each time a customer exited. There was easily a couple dozen customers happily shopping around still and all I wanted to do was run in and see if they had an electrical chord. I used to come to savers to save money and buy things for steals! I loved coming here! But the last few months prices on items have increased a ton! Things are now priced only a few dollars cheaper than you would find new at a store. Today they had a used candle without a candle wick priced at $5. The new manager I believe her name is Blanca is only worried about making more money instead of giving people who are struggling with money a deal on things they otherwise would not be able to afford. read more

As a bi-monthly shopper of this store for several years now, they have slowly been raising their prices on their items, especially their clothing to the point that I can buy something new for cheaper than what they have it here. For example, they had a George men's white dress shirt for $14.99. The same shirt new is $13 at Walmart. There were several other ratty shirts were anywhere from $15 to $20 each. Even other Savers in the valley are not this overpriced. They must think they are some high-end boutique store, but this is ridiculous. I walked out and went a couple doors down to Tags and got a good as new Polo dress shirt for $5.99. Also, the employees here are not helpful or friendly. I am done being nice. Savers in Orem is disgusting. They have been placing items on their floor with blood and other bodily fluids dried up in the crotch area of their pants. Now there is no excuse after bringing it up to them now 4 separate times. Not once did they offer me any refund and had the audacity to get an attitude. I'm posting pictures of 3 items I found with blood stains just this last Sunday and one picture I took of a pair of Marc Jacobs 100% silk pants that I bought months ago. I haven't done anything with them because it disgusts me. I have two pairs of flying monkey jeans and diesel jeans with dried in blood stains that I never saw til I took the tags off. These were purchased in January and are the pairs that started everything. But dealing with the currently tagged items that ARE pictured. This is unacceptable and shameless... they are rude and arrogant to think they are above being called out. I'm done! I used to spend hundreds here, they used to be friendly. Now they think they can sell fake pairs of true Religion jeans for $34 and retract their loyalty discounts to only apply for the first $100 and tell me that it has always been that way. They are getting more and more expensive, to the point where I seldom go anymore, though I buy clothes almost exclusively at thrift stores and have for my entire life. Dresses are around $12 (several times now I've found a dress I already own and bought new for less than the savers price), paperbacks mostly $3, and they don't do 99 cent days anymore. I'm disappointed by the prices every time I go, and always leave feeling like the management is just plain greedy. The store is still organized better than DI, but they stopped organizing clothes by color. Pains me to say it but I will be going to DI from now on. read more

The average price for a fun quality top. Active wear, coat was usually $4.99. On senior day less 30%..As with most second hand stores offer a 20% if you made a donation. I only buy with a coupon of some kind. IThese photos posted look very nice. I never have seen the store look that clean and organized. Truthfully, its usually a mess with piles of trash. Dust,hair, pulled off tags trash. Never does it look inviting. The employees are wonderful. The majority are the kindest employees. The upper management are not as kind, and they eork them so hard. The reason i am writing a review is because 2 weeks ago on a Saturday evening. At 8:45, i spied a treasure. A fining room table. Being by myself. I hate to leave what i found alone. Things disappear if you do not have a partner helping you. I found a gal and asked her where i should go to get a sold sticker. I was told in the back. Keeping my rye on my table, I waited at the back room for a few minutes. No one came do I returned to my table and cart. Time is running out, I went to the back again. No help no assistance. I stayed by the table until thry announced store closing. Then I went up to register and said i want that table in funiture area. I paid for it. Along with a cart full of other things. The manager wrote my name on 2 sold tags. I eill pick up tomorrow on Sunday. When i came back to get my paid for table. It was gone. We searched everywhere. The assistant manager came back semi laughing. I was upset and tears welled up in my eyes. This table was Gorgeous. I have a feeling what really happened. Some customer cane in early Sunday either took off the tags or bribed a worker to resale it. No they didn't put the table in the back room as they usually do. To prevent customers from peeling off sold stickers. I have been a witness to many shady things in this store. I have had paid items go missing 3times, only this time my purchase was a rare find. I wrote a letter to store manager and fistrict manager. No response. I have heard employees tell their family members where to find the valuable items. I have watched checkers at register give things to people of their own ethnicities. Ive overheard employees telling what they were taking home. I've seen far too many dishonest things going on. I have talked to others who have experienced the same things I have. I know it goes on in most second hand stores. It would be hard to control that. I used to go 4 times a week. However. Watching the employees taking what they want first is so frustrating. I have had to pick one bnb or two days. Im retired. This is my favorite hobby. With the increase of clothing prices. To theft of unscrupulous workers. Now its cheaoer to go to Kohls and buy new than the high prices they now charge. Anything eith a name tag. From old navy to Chicos is always double the price. It is ridiculous. I was in California for 2weeks in August. The Goodwills there. Actually had cups or mugs for 25cents. A dollar rack. 50% ofc day....once a week. Why has Savers gotten so greedy? This is donated goods. Any profit is profit. And only 11% actually goes to helping Multiple Scoliosis. A key donation word, frequently used in Saver stores. Across the nation, at Saver Stores it is often expressed their high increase in prices. I am a honest and nice person. But this time, i had to say something. If you are a new person to Savers or thrifting, try to have a friend with you to avoid cart theft. Thrifting is fun and many times a needed way to purchase clothes. Fun place to shop for props/costumes. This is a HUGE-GIGANTOUS second hand store. I would say it's the kmart of used clothing. They have everything from jewelry to furniture. We spent many days here hunting for props for our sets. If you have the patience to dig through the clothing you'll actually find some decent sweaters and jackets for like $2. read more

I'm happy with their sales and the prices on baby clothes/toddler clothes can't be beat. Adult clothes can sometimes run a little pricey for second hand. The employees in the donation area are always nice and pleasant. The inside employees apparently didn't get that memo. They are rude and inconsiderate 90% of the time. If your in a small aisle, they will expect you to move out if their way if you're in an area where they want to put clothes. Even if it's in the next rack. One time I was pushing a cart to the end of the aisle was almost to the end when one employee blocked the end with a large cart of toys and I had to go around, she didn't speak English and didn't understand when I asked to pass. If I don't interact with the employees, my trips are usually more enjoyable. read more

I got designer brand clothing for under ten bucks, and it was in great shape. The people are great and the store is clean. The books are the only thing that could be considered too expensive. LOVE the holiday sales, unfortunately I can NOT afford to shop here very often, because the prices are NOT Thrift store prices! The house wares are ridiculously high for what they are for example, a used candle it is almost as much as a new one in any store. I paid $10 for a cookie Jar because it was super cute BUT I found it NEW in the original store on clearance for $5.99, marked down from $12.00! Please take note Savers & know that young families depend on thrift stores to help with their budget's for a reason & Saver's seems oblivious to that need.
