I've heard so much about this store. I always thought (like many people I know) that it was a grocery store! It is actually one of the biggest thrift stores I've seen. Everything is clean and super organized. Nothing feels junky. I mean, CLEAN. They have a huge inventory of women's clothing. Again, very well organized, and clean. I went to drop some items off at savers. I love that you can just drive-through and drop your stuff off and drive right out. Sometimes the other stores won't take our stuff, but they were happy to take what we did not need any longer so that somebody else could enjoy our treasures. Super easy. Shoes, shirts dresses, housewares, books, etc. I noticed that the prices were less than their competitors, but only by a few cents. Didn't buy anything. Busy on a weekend. It's a thrift store and you can't try anything on but you can buy them and if they don't fit you can return them for an in store credit . So if I spend $50 cash and return 1/2 of that I can't get my cash back. Just not my cup of tea. What if I don't shop there enough to use that credit. So for that reason. I won't go back. read more

I had to let go of a lot of home goods, and savers is a nice stop. The drive through always has an attendant and they aren't too particular unless there's the obvious damage on a larger item such as a loveseat and mattress topper. You can help unload items in their designated bins, or if there's more staff their team can help you clear out the car faster. Some attendants are more particular, but overall it's a quick transaction. You get a savers coupon on the exit out read more

Extremely rude staff. I wish I got the employees name, who I assume was the manager on shift. Sooo rude!! Rude to the other staff and rude to customers. I came in Saturday October 5 at 3. She was working the front. That lady needs a serious attitude check. As far as I can tell, this location does not do member Mondays. They have a sale tag, but last time I went in I found exactly 3 items with that sale tag and they were all junk. Think an ashtray and a bag of beads for crafting. Nothing you could get real use out of. They also price anything they think might be nice at egregious prices for a thrift store. Similarly, they're one of many thrift stores that thinks the brand Alfani is Armani and up-charge the hell out of it. Used Alfani is not worth much at all. read more

I came here to find magazines. I wanted to make a vision board so I figured they would have cheap ones here. Since I was cutting them up, I didn't want to buy them full price. There were a lot of natural geographics and only a handful of regular magazines. They are located at the front of the store so I didn't have to look far. There was a sale going on so I was able to get one of them for free. I have only been here once before and I remember them having long lines. But this thrift store is pretty active. It seems like they have new self check out registers now. You can use cash or card. I will have to come back when I am not in a rush. They seem to have a lot to offer. read more

My girlfriend, Verenice and I just came home from the Kietzke Savers. Our cashier liaison was named Susan. What a lovely woman. Nice Smile. Sweet. Very Professional. I made an error when I was signing up for the Rewards program and she was able to fix it very efficiently. I was impressed. Just that week I went to 3 different stores including Save Mart that offered similar programs and the cashier's were not able to sign me up. It literally took 30 minutes at Save Mart and he finally said the wifi is down. Susan made it look easy. I live in Sparks where our Savers closed years ago. Was a really great store. I even worked there 26 years ago. I have now really grown to Love the Kietzke store and will certainly be back. Thanks again Susan. You Rock!!!! read more

Place has gone downhill so bad. I have shopped here for almost 10 years and this store has raised the prices higher than any place in town. Stay far away. Management does not care about customers one bit. They are in it for pure profit. That's why savers is no longer a nonprofit business. It says that through their entire store. They had a good selection of items and I was shopping and had selected about 10 dresses to try on when I was then badly surprised by the fact that... what no dressing rooms!? That really pissed me off as I feel like I just wasted my time looking at clothes I couldn't actually try on. Apparently I haven't been there in a while. A fellow shopper told me that you have to buy the clothes, then go home and try them on, and then you can return what doesn't fit but only return for store credit. F that!! It is impossible to know what will fit you as I wear a variety of sizes depending on the brand and everyone knows that clothes look different on than on the hanger. And it looks like they have no plans of ever having dressing rooms again as they are totally removed from the store. Sooo they missed out on a lot of sales as I am not buying clothes I have no idea fit me. Also in the past I had an issue with this store not accepting a $10 Savers voucher since it was very old, however it had no expiration date on it. The manager was very rude and difficult about it and I'm like seriously just override $10 of my purchase and accept my voucher! Everything is donated anyway its all 100% profit. Very irritated. This place is embarrassing and really wonder who prices the inventory- especially the clothing. Who is in charge here because they need to be replaced. They clearly have no idea what a thrift store is supposed to be. They have also clearly never shopped at cheap mall stores e.g. forever 21, Rue 21, Charlotte Russe, etc. The prices here are hellish. They price USED cheap mall brands at retail prices or higher. Absolutely ripping people off - sadly people in need. Since I was last here, they've since gotten rid of changing rooms - and there return policy is return credit only - no cash returns. I've been shopping here my entire life, and have purchased so many incredible clothing pieces in that time. I'm sad to say that Savers has lost me as a customer. How is anyone expected to trust their purchase when they can't even try it on to see if it fits right? Ok, so you take it home and try it on there...and if it doesn't fit...then you come back to the store...to exchange for a store credit..with which you will get more clothes...that you can't try on...that you'll need to try on at home...and if those clothes don't fit...what then? Without the insurance of being able to get a full refund, I would never feel comfortable spending money here. A real shame too...I've been known to drop hundreds of dollars at a time when I shop at savers. This is the most absurd policy I love ever seen from a store that sells clothing. Your loss, Savers! Nice place to drop off donations. Driving up into a covered area to drop off is nice to avoid the weather. I have two favorite places to drop off donations. For household items, this is the place for me. For clothing, shoes, toiletries and bedding, I support wholeheartedly Good Shepherd. They serve the community and do not charge for anything. Savers gave me a coupon but I didn't find anything I needed. The store is clean, very large but I found the items to be pricey. For example, a pair of jeans was $15. These were not new. read more

Love this place! Usually I don't go looking for anything specific, but it's more fun that way. With thrifting it's more about the retail therapy for me, the thrill of the hunt. Last time I was here, right before closing, I chatted it up with some friendly fellow shoppers. One lady and I joked that you have to be careful when people keep asking you where you got that cute/funky/trendy/stylish/eclectic such-and-such....because you'll give away one of Reno's best-kept secrets, and then you'll have some competition next time you're looking for the perfect ____ (fill in the blank). We did agree, however, that it's ok to tell your friends about Savers - just not the ones who wear your same size ;) I do realize that plenty of people are aware of the amazing finds to be had at Savers BUT it's still worth sharing for those who don't know. Come with plenty of time to spare if you really want to dig in and peruse the store. Strapped for time? That's ok too; Savers is pretty well-organized, and I can tell they do a lot to keep it tidy. Women's, men's, & kids clothing of ALL shapes & sizes, shoes, accessories, housewares, furniture, appliances, books, and knick-knacks galore! Also a great place to shop for costumes, or that ugly sweater party around the holidays. The satisfaction of saying you found "it" at Savers is amazing. Probably the most expensive "thrift" store i've ever been to. Prices range from 50% to 70% of retail. They dont do a very good job of weeding out damaged products either. There were at least 5 jackets I looked at that had rips that made them unwearable. Selection is the same as the Goodwill, staff is friendly and the store is clean. read more

Bright and pretty clean store so that's a good thing, but prices were kind of high for kids books and DVDs. Very high for kids clothes and shoes, as in used for the same prices as new at Ross and Marshall's and TJ Maxx. We didn't get anything, but for those needing something specific, you probably can find it here as they do have an expansive selection and it's quite organized. The donation box/dumpster bin out front was full to overflowing, but I did hear a staff member call for another person to go empty it out so at least they do keep up with that. Overall, a decent thrift store, we just like to visit thrift stores to find books and DVDs, nice to have our own library seeing libraries are closed for the foreseeable future. read more

Well tigj at closing I was trying to link my card to my apple wallet which was giving me a hard time. My favorite thrift store. They are keeping physical distancing pretty simple having added some breaks in the aisles so you can escape being too close to others. I did have to flea an aisle or two as there were noses poking out of masks. Truly people, new studies show you breathe through your nose! Very much enjoy the 50% of clothing sales as I can try new styles I never would otherwise. Unfortunately the dressing rooms are still closed so once home I found three garments just did not fit. One was tagged large and in fact was medium. Who looks while in a feeding frenzy? It's no worry though as I can take them back and exchange for something else and there are lots and lots of things there! I miss the color coding, found it in one aisle of blouses but they used to do it in almost every row. read more

I somehow missed Savers for a long time but once I made it in- I love going often now. Yes, a lot of things are priced crazy high but some are also crazy low. I did try to buy a table marked $2.99 and they had to re-price it since it was an insane price. The very nice cashier got two separate people to re-price it - one said $19.99 and the other said $8.99 so I still got a very cool sewing table for nine bucks. I also got a very cute nightstand in perfect shape for $10, and some other great deals. You just have to keep checking. For clothes, there are colors on the tags and there is always a color that is 50% off. Stick to those tags and find amazing deals too. There are SO many clothes- I always find something. Also good for dishes, books (lots of brand new books- the most expensive is $3.49 and it's buy 3, get one free). Luggage...and the store is clean and well lit. I purchased $100 in jewelry and a lamp. Well the lamp doesn't work.. I figured they tested it. I don't come to this store very often because I live far from everything. I came back in a week later asked to talk to a manger. I spoke to arriance who I said hi to and she walked passed me. I went to the jewelry counter and asked to speak to a manager. Turns out she's the manager and she said she couldn't do anything for me. She let me know they don't test their product and there's a place to plug in the lamps. So now I spent $11 on a lamp that doesn't work but I guess there's nothing they can do. I would have been happy with an exchange for something and I had my receipt. read more

I do not recommend this store. The prices seem to be 10 to 20% higher than other thrift stores. They do not provide plastic bags for purchases. They do not allow customers to use the restroom. They have only one actual live person cashier, all the other cash registers are automated. I did not have a pleasant experience shopping in the store. read more

Savers has been my go-to thrift store since I moved to Reno a few years ago. I think out of the other thrift stores I've been to in Reno, Savers has the best selection and decent pricing/sales. It's also somewhat clean. I have noticed that prices for jeans have been slowly going up. I am deducting one star because I really wish that Savers had a dressing room to try on clothes. I know that they used to have dressing rooms at their old location. I also wish I could just get refunded instead of store credit. Shopped at this store for baskets as they are usually nice and plentiful in thrift shops and I use them for charity donations. Did not buy any here since the prices on the baskets were quite high. Used baskets are generally cheap and here they were too used to make my donations. I looked around the store to get a feel for what they carry and the prices. I was floored at the high prices on clothes. Jackets were $15 to $20 and they of course, are used. I can get a new jacket for that price at Ross' or TJ Maxx or off season at any store. Blouses were mostly $6.99 and up where the majority were $9.99. Same thing, I can buy new at Ross' for same or less. I don't understand how people can shop there thinking they are getting a deal. They get two stars just because the store was clean and they do carry some unique items you don't see everywhere (but those are snapped up pretty fast). I looked at every section and the only one that was interesting was the books but many were just in average to worn shape. They do offer discounts at certain times so they do get credit for that. Keep in mind, this thrift shop is for-profit. Every dollar they make when you buy goes to the company and the largest bundles to the heads. When you donate your stuff, that is the only time they donate to charity and we have no idea of the amount. It could be by the pound and it could be 1%. I am not saying this is the case, but unless you know and it is open and posted, the buyers and those that donate are left in the dark. I searched the website and nothing told me the amount and how it was calculated. Just be aware when you shop and donate. read more

(We were looking at baskets) I smiled and said "okay, thanks." She then rushes to another lady who works there and complains about us. She yelled out "who? Them?" And pointed at us.
