I spent way too long in this store. Visiting from Richmond VA. I specifically was so hype for this store bc I remember how large it was from when I lived here ages ago. I walked in and was SHOCKED. So much stuff ! Definitely spent like 2 hrs here and was so worth it. Some prices were wayyyy too high for the stuff being donated so that sucks. And some stuff was too nasty and shouldn't be on the shelves. But overall everything was worth a look and organized amazingly !! read more

I came a little in the afternoon and had a very successful time thrifting the things I needed for my projects. Prices were definitely better than I've seen at most goodwills and I got some good discounts when I signed up real quick for their rewards. There was a lot to choose from and I was very surprised at how well organized things were- even the trinkets. The workers were nice and I had some pleasant chatting with them. As an avid thrift store shopper, this place definitely ranks as one of the worst I've been to. The prices are outrageous, and I've found the staff rather rude. We recently purchased a NES system, were told that it worked 100%. No, it did not, and because of their return policy we are out $600. Did I mention their prices are outrageous? Their staff told us the system worked & that it was worth more than double what we paid for it. It's maybe worth about $0 being as how it doesn't work. read more

Prices have skyrocketed to the point often it's cheaper to buy brand new from a store. I love thrifting, but have now taken Savers off my list of places to shop. I have noticed over the last year or so prices have climbed expeditiously. For example, a cheap vinyl non-namebrand wallet for $7.99. A gold charger plate that is scratched up for $2.99. You can buy those at Hobby lobby for cheaper! Clothes that are out of style and worn. They're asking over $10 for many single shirts. Whoever is doing their pricing really needs to take a step back and realize this is a "not for profit" and is supposed to be helping people not ripping them off. read more

Cost of living/doing business is much higher in CA, so I feel like I should have gotten some better deals seeing as I dragged my ass out to the Heartland of America to do some serious junking. Saver's should be everything you would ever want in a thrift store. Actually, in many respects, it is. The selection (particularly on clothing) is huge and the organization about as good as you will ever find in a thrift store. There is one aspect of the place, though, that keeps frustrating me every time I go there. Maybe I'm being silly, but when I go to a thrift store, I have expectations as to how much certain items will cost. Saver's prices almost always exceeds those expectations and often exceeds them by a wide margin. Books are a perfect example. General, run of the mill, paperback books are $2.00. I would expect to pay that much at a used bookstore, where the selection is large and all the books are organized. But at a thrift store, with almost zero separation and no alphabetizing? It seems a bit high. Shirts and pants can be all the way up to $10.00 for some of the "better" items, and don't even get me started on housewares, electronics, and sporting goods. I realize that in the grand scheme of things, these prices are still better than buying new. However, I just can't seem to get over the fact that I can go to almost any other thrift store in Sioux Falls and get the same types of items for about half the price. They do have one way in which you can find some good deals, it's just a bit of a pain. All of their items have a specific color of tag and each week one color is half-price. If there is a system for assigning the colors to items, I haven't figured it out. It seems to be random. So, if you are diligent and willing to make multiple trips waiting for the right color to be half-off, you can find some decent deals there. If selection is the most important thing to you and price not so much, Saver's may be just what you are looking for. But, if you're a cheapy like me, I would recommend almost any other thrift store in Sioux Falls. read more

Staff are mean shout at kids and also blame stuff on customers that are there fault and items are so over priced that you can buy it at the store as a new item for cheaper and floors are dirty and bathrooms smell bad also should be renovated read more

Savers are always worth a visit. I live in VIrginia and like to go to thrift stores when I travel. This store was full of merchandise and very well organized. It is smaller than some of their stores. I found a few bargains. read more

I agree that their pricing is sporadic, and I am sad they have done away with their vintage section (one employee told me they rip vintage up and sell it by the pound as cleaning rags! *gasp*). However, I rated this as "I am a fan", because despite the inconsistencies in quality and pricing, I NEVER walk out of here empty-handed. I have found more of my fair share of true treasures, and have saved a LOT of money on top-quality wardrobe pieces for my whole family by shopping here. Plan on spending a chunk of time here, though, even though it's well-organized, there is a TON to browse through! read more
