Savor Growl is a place to fill up and sample beer. It's more like a convenience store than a bar. They have a bar with several taps. It's not somewhere for you to hang all night. They also have convenience store food and snacks. From the outside it looks like a place to pick up a pack of beer. It's like going to a convenience store and being able to have samples before you get beer. The samples didn't really cost anything, though a tip is expected. No one at the store said anything about a limit, but just don't go crazy. Try a few beers and then go to a reach in cooler and select the beer you liked. If you're hungry they also have some food. This is typical convenience store stuff like pretzels. It has lots of craft beer. It's just kind of overpriced. You can find many of the same brands in other local stores.

32 ounce growler of Bear Republic Black Racer.

Stopped by here today to check it out and maybe grab a growler, and ended up bringing home a mini-growler (32 oz) of Bear Republic Black Racer. It was definitely hard to just choose one - but sometimes economics and time just limit your ability to enjoy multiple craft brews in larger quantities. The gentleman behind the counter was inviting and very courteous. Explained the layout of the growler bar; they have 5 or 6 different growlers available for purchase, and BONUS they will fill growlers from other places. Will definitely stop by in the future. Semi-convenient location just a couple minutes off of I-71, great selection, friendly, and I got the feeling that the gentleman that helped me enjoyed what he was doing.

Good selection of beers - a bit expensive. Their tap selection is pretty solid, but a lot of local breweries you could get around town.

In addition to more than sixty taps, they also sell wine and cigars, and have 600 beers from all over.

Moldovan wine... Ukrainian beer…read more.. Icelandic beer... Irish mead... Indian beer... Japanese sake... Serbian wine... Polish Beer... Have I piqued your interest? Good, mission accomplished, keep reading... I enjoy sipping on a boozy beverage from time to time and maybe you do too. One of my favorite places to search for new finds is Palmer's, a long time (since 1976) Clintonville favorite. I like this place. It's an adult beverage micro-emporium that markets an interesting mix of beer and wine for the imbibing community. They offer many of the usual standards along with an ever-changing, eclectic mix that's sure to keep most anyone interested. Get to know Emily, the owner / manager / buyer as she's really knowledgeable about their product. She's always helpful and she doesn't have that snobby pretentiousness that you sometimes find in other beer and wine stores. Let's talk about the wine first. You'll find French, Spanish, Italian, German, Chilean, Argentine and American wines here. If you're looking for something that's unique ask Emily about their selection of Moldovan, Serbian or Georgian (the country, not the state) wines. These wines are hidden gems, IE quite good but hard to find. So, if you're looking to impress someone... We need to talk about the beer too. Of course, Palmer's has all the popular North American favorites, but I generally check them out for their interesting selection of microbrews and imports. Palmer's rotates a diverse range of brews from places like: Ireland, England, Scotland, Poland, Mexico, Iceland, Germany, India and yes, even Dayton Ohio, to name just a few. They never stock up heavily on their microbrews and imports so if you see it, you want it, you might want to buy it because it's probably not going to be there next time you visit. I highly recommend this place. 5 very solid stars. And Here's A Little Extra Pour In Your Glass: ** Palmer's is perfectly located. You'll find India Oak Bar and Grill where you can find some of the best subs in Cbus just across the street, Rodo's European restaurant right next door and two great pizza places just up Indianola, Dante's Pizza and Gatto's Pizza. Food and drink all in one convenient spot. What's not to like? ** Wine makes a great gift for birthdays, housewarming, family dinners, holidays, hostess gift or even just a simple appreciation gift. ** Palmer's will give you a 10% discount when you buy 6 or more bottles of wine.

Friendly service is another reason it's better. The prices aren't that bad especially for an independent store. Because it's a smaller place, it doesn't have as much on hand as big stores carry. It makes up for it by having more craft and local. The selection actually is pretty good when looking at how many harder to find brands are in stock. Prices are good. These are comparable with other local stores. It carries a lot of name brands. They also have harder to find varieties of these brands, like stuff that comes out seasonally. It often gets mentioned by many amateur and professional critics alike as the best beer store in Columbus. Prices and the friendly knowledgeable staff have much to do with it. The other reason is the selection they have for an independently owned local store.

Chateau Wine and Spirits to the rescue! But for real. It was Thanksgiving afternoon and my family…read moresuddenly had a craving for a cocktail. Unfortunately, we didn't have any of the ingredients needed to make it fun, if you know what I mean. We searched Yelp and found this spot rather close by. We decided to give it a try and were stoked to find that they were open... and busy at that. They had a great inventory of wine, liquor, beer, etc. and had exactly what we needed, prosecco, schnapps, vodka and fruit puree. I'll also add that despite how busy they were, the staff was great. They helped us find what we were looking for while we wandering around aimlessly trying to find the goods. Prices were right on money, too. I don't live in the area, but my sister does, and I have no doubt we'll be back when need be. #grateful

They have a good selection of stuff (I am a bourbon and cocktail person) but nothing amazing. What really frustrated me was around payment. They charge a fee if you use a card: their prices are the same as other stores who do not charge a fee to use a card. Anyways, I used a debit card and found out, after, I was charged a fee. They did offer to refund my charge and I could pay with cash but I did not have enough cash on me. In my experience, this is the ONLY store I have EVER been charged a fee for using a debit card or credit card. It just feels greedy.

It has the same ownership the similarly named store on High Street has. Sammy is better than the average convenience store owner. This location is the better one because it has the Exotic Latino Grill truck. An important thing to know is the truck doesn't sell beverages because of an agreement with the store. You have to go inside the store to get a beverage. It has some great choices like Jarritos and Mexican Coke. The only bad thing is the location. It's on Hudson Street in an area known for crime. The area is fairly safe if you go early. I usually go to 14-0 Carryout and get something from the food truck. It's not a good area so go earlier. They got Mexican soft drinks, with a good beer selection and a limited amount of wine.
