The towel that was used to cover my face smelled really badly. No oils were used and I was expecting the room to smell like scented oils to create a relaxing environment. she rubbed my back 100 times with lotion and I was honestly very unimpressed. She spent a lot of time moving inside the room to get more lotions and items she uses. She was answering phone calls and had a very loud ring tone during the massage. I've been in this area for about 10 years and have been to numerous massage places and after all these years, I think I've finally found THE massage place for me. I saw they open at 11 am on a Sunday so I picked up the phone hoping to get in sooner. I woke up with pain on my left shoulder and I hardly have any mobility in that area. The lady picked up the phone after the first ring. I was lucky to get in at 1:40. Unlike all the other massage places, this lady clocked me in right when she actually did the massage. And she finished a little over an hour of when she's supposed to finish. I'm very time conscious when it comes to massages. Many places say 90 mins and they include your prepping and dressing up times on the 90 mins. The owner (I suppose her name is Sawasdee), is the only person manning her office that day. She may be petite and small but of my goodness... she CAN massage!! I requested for the deep tissue massage and she added in some hot stones. I love that she's not worried about using as much oil as she needed to (I love to be lathered in oil)!! And the smell of that massage oil is just super relaxing. Y'all, she's trying to keep her business afloat! Her assistants would rather collect unemployment than work again. Isn't that sad?!! This lady, just on that Sunday I went there, had back-to-back customers from 11 am - 7 pm! She hardly even taken breakfast!! But you know what she told me? She said, "I need to do this because I serve the people." And obviously, she needs to continue to pay the bills too! Let's please support her! Got there at my arrival time 4:20 had to wait 15-20 mins while she finished up another client and cleaned and she got done at 5:20 ... so i didn't even get a full hour massage that was paid for. Patty was late. Which is not that big of a deal, but she proceeded to start my massage with cold wet towels and cold "hot" stones. The massage was extremely rushed (I booked a 90 minute session), she said I was so small that she just did everything in 60 minutes to get it all in. I have never had a Thai massage so I cannot compare it to others as far as technique but I felt I needed to leave a review for others who maybe are to be a first timer like me . The ladies here were very nice , the place was clean and they were able to get me in right away without an appointment . This is an active type of massage , body work , stretching , quite a bit different techniques then a traditional Swedish per se. If you are looking more for a spa type setting this would more than likely not be your preference , however if you enjoy more passive stretching , body work and more brisk firm pressures then give it a try . I have a lower back herniated disc so although the therapist did a good job overall this technique was not my preference . Overall good experience , hope this is helpful . read more
