The look of the shopping center and the stores is very modern and sleek. Clean angles and clean lines throughout. Parking is a bit tight since it's such a well visited shopping center.

The Cove has some exciting new developments. Three new food and drink projects recently opened. These include the 46 year old Cove Restaurant and Tiki Bar which got a 6.5 million dollar makeover. Since 1977, the intracoastal waterfront Cove Restaurant has been a favorite of the Deerfield Beach community. The renovation project was spearheaded by developer Lou Moshakos who runs Oceanic and Lucky Fish Pompano. Mosakos has many fond memories of knocking back drinks with his wife after working at the Seafood Shanty. When the restaurant came up for sale he decided to purchase and restore it. Changes to the restaurant include a new chef and Key West style makeover of the tiki bar. On the opposite end of the plaza is the new 2.15 million dollar Cove Brewery with a 8,500 square foot brewhouse and taproom. The brewery anchors a 24,000 square foot warehouse that houses four new businesses including the recently opened Won-Tom's restaurant. I am exited to check out the changes to the plaza but I also enjoy dining at The Sticky Bun for breakfast , Modern Rose for light bites and coffee, and Patricia's of New York for dinner. Other businesses include jewelry stores, laundry, bridal stores, legal, banking, medical, and beauty services, clothing stores, pubs, and many other restaurants. If there is one drawback to The Cove it is that parking can be hard to come by. Complicating matters is the fact that people park here and walk over to the beach. If there is a festival going on you can forget about finding a space. Lou Moshakos has purchased roughly 2 acres of land next to The Cove and is considering building a parking garage to alleviate the parking headache. So many locals and tourists have fond memories of going to The Cove through the years . The new businesses and next phase of development will bring even more good times.

Located near the intracoastal waterway, this strip center has it all: restaurants, gift shops, several offices, bridal stores, boutiques and even a catering venue called Royal Fiesta. Sometimes the plaza has events like farmers markets, car shows etc. This is a fun shopping center because not only is it walking distance to the beach but it has a full marina and a path leading to Sullivan Park. It's so much fun people watching because you get to see people walking their dogs, riding their bikes, or just walking around enjoying the many stores and restaurants. The largest and most well known restaurant is Two George's; great for relaxing with an adult beverage on the water. There's also a family owned Italian restaurant called Antonio's, Sticky Bun for breakfast & lunch, Modern Rose Teahouse, Kava Lounge, French & Mexican restaurants, and American Rock Bar & Grill. There is something for everyone, so I can assure you that you won't go hungry. Many of the restaurants are dog friendly which I think is awesome especially since I plan on adopting another fur baby soon. Saving the best for last; my favorite restaurant in the plaza is Casa Maya. They serve the most delicious Mexican food and there is a small bar if you want to pop in for a margarita. It gets pretty loud but the food is worth it. The plaza is home to two bridal stores (Bellissima & Casa De Bridesmaids), a high end dress shop (Sondro), law offices, a tattoo shop, several stores as well as nail & massage places. The Cove shopping center is easy to find. Head east on Hillsboro & it's right before the bridge on the south side of the road. Lots of parking too. :-)

Okay, I'll admit that Town Center at Boca Raton is not as bad as I first thought it was. I may not be coming here blowing my money, but I have been visiting a couple of stores a bit more frequently and there are a few more that have my interest to check out. There are new stores and restaurants opening soon at Town Center at Boca Raton with new stores including Christian Louboutin already open for business. Here's to many more visits.

Us gals made our way to MAC and the guys went to Starbucks to get all our drinks. C.J. from Kimco called me back and said the landscaping company would be following up with me. Three 3 days later, no call. I will not be returning to this plaza for this reason. Parked cars in this plaza (or any others) should not be subjected to this.

University Commons was built in 2001 on 22.4 acres leased from FAU. The plaza is anchored by a very nice Whole Foods which is one of the most visited in the whole country. There is also Nordstrom Rack, Etiquette Boutique, T-Mobile, Bed Bath and Beyond, Shake Shack, J. Alexander's, and P.F. Chang's. I have been to this plaza many times throughout the years whether it was taking my daughter when she was a toddler to mommy and me play date at Barnes and Nobles, grocery shopping at Whole Foods, enjoying a quick meal at Shake Shack, or grabbing smoothies from Jamba Juice. The plaza has a large number of places to eat and it is the first place I think to go for a dinner before a Cinemark Plaza. It is hard to find a book store these days so it's especially nice that they still have the two story Barnes and Nobles where you can grab the latest best seller and a cup of coffee from the in house Starbucks. The plaza still looks as nice as the day it was built. The parking is a little wonky but there is plenty of it. We are here a lot for the Lowe's store as well as occasionally the Macy's. And also for Big Lots on the north side. The restaurants have come and gone, but there are a few we like and patronize -- the fish and shrimp one and the middle eastern one to cite a couple. And the Burlington and TJ Maxx stores that were recently added are also a draw. It is our town mall, so we are happy it's now on the up side. They even have a number of outbuildings with businesses and restaurants and signs saying more are coming soon. Here's to supporting local businesses!

Broward County has set up the parking lot to be a drive thru vaccination site. County and city officials along with volunteers are working along with the mall security department to keep this site secure and organized. I received both of my vaccinations here and I was pleasantly surprised at just how smooth the process was. Everyone worked together to get us in and out as quickly as possible. Security did an excellent job getting us in the correct lanes and making the lot easy to navigate. After the fifteen minute waiting period, they were there to guide us out in a safe manner. This location is conveniently located in the old Macy's parking lot. Located on the SW corner of Federal Highway and Copans Road.

Built in 2009 it has 51,900 sf of rentable retail and office space over 6.05 acres. There are 243 parking spots. As a resident of the city I have been to this plaza extensively through the years. I have eaten at Santo Buffet Modern American & Sushi many times, picked up fast food at Chicken Fil-A, and had an unpleasant experience at Wayback Burgers. Most recently I was here to visit a brand new Korean market, KOA Mart. Other businesses in the plaza include Pasquale's Pizza Company, Belfort Fitness Lifestyle, C.Colella Dentistry, Miracle Leaf, Passport Preschool, Aero Juice, and Calvary Chapel. In the outparcel there is a Regions Bank. What really sets this plaza apart is the lush landscaping and decorative plants. There are a lot of flowering trees which add beauty to the property. The plaza is well maintained and very clean. They did a great job integrating into Coconut Creeks theme of Butterfly Capital with lots of butterfly friendly greenery.

Garden Shops is anchored by a Publix supermarket. Other businesses include The UPS Store, Massage Envy, Publix Super Market, Jersey Mike's Subs, West Boca Medical Center, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Menchies' Yogurt, Bank of America, Starbucks, and Fifth Third Bank. One of my favorite businesses is the new Skillets serving breakfast and lunch. There is a good mix of shopping, dining, and services. The property was built in 1985 but it was completely remodeled in 2010 when it was enhanced with a large Publix and a bougainvillea pergola with benches. A set of pillars signals your arrival into the plaza. It looks to be of the type of well manicured shopping centers you would expect to find in Boca Raton.

They have some inventory that will appeal depending on what you're looking for... they don't have much furniture wise. There's a bit of a bunch of different things --linens, housewares, silverware, electronics, books, clothing etc., etc. Most things are organized together by category. Price wise, it's a mix of decent prices and high prices. They have some of the more expensive items near the counter. We didn't love something enough to buy anything here. But we are still glad we came to check them out.

At first their inventory was made up of there own items but now everything they sell is donated. I love their mission which is to help animals. The Shed Thrift is a nonprofit that donates its proceeds to various veterinary hospitals in the area to support people on social security or limited income who need life-saving surgeries for their pets. I collect vintage pieces and Shed Thrift had some items like a chandelier and a set of glasses. They also had furniture, appliances, bikes, guitars, household goods, collectibles, books, movie, CD's, clothing, accessories, and more. With the influence of DIY shows showcasing recycling and re-purposing, thrifting is more popular than ever. Thrift stores help people save money and keep items out of the landfill. Shed Thrift has some unique items like a jukebox that you didn't typically see in the local area thrift stores. With their mission to help vulnerable pets, this store is an assist to Coral Springs.
