The report came in and it showed that they only inspected one chimney, which I did not catch and was misrepresented to me. Sir-Vent attached with the report wood stove manufacturers that they recommended. I assumed that they had inspected both chimneys, based on the recommendation of wood stoves. Upon self installing the wood stove, the first fire, smoke backed up into the house. I had another chimney company inspect the problem. It turns out my downstairs flue is cracked and plugged up with creosote. The cracks could have caused a chimney fire. After calling Sir-Vent, they tried to get out of it saying they only inspected one chimney, even though they recommended wood stoves for the other one. A miss-communication? I don't think so.

'DON'T GO FORTH WITH GO FORTH'…read more Got a new HVAC system put in Monday....hasn't worked since installation. I call...house not cooling First it was a bad belt motor ...replaced, 2 days after initial install and yet again, not working. After yet another lovely call ...the manager Jason got back to me informing me 'it takes time to start working' (there are 2 separate units for upstairs and down...upstairs unit fine but struggling with the rising heat from below) Still not working. Call Friday at 5:05pm...office closed with hours Monday through Friday 8-5 with no emergency options....unless you're looking to buy services (website stated it closes at 8) they answer....I pretended. Sent a tech out Saturday who found another major coil defect and had to shut the system down completely (90+ degree weather of course) I requested a new unit since there were two major mechanical issues. Despite about $14,000 manager Jason denies request (after not wanting to speak with me) saying they just replace parts .... IN A BRAND NEW UNIT They hope the part will be available Monday I regret not calling Morris Jenkins...open 7 days a week , and on call. My old unit from the 90s had the house brilliantly cool. So now my rescue dogs, my family and my menapausal hot flashes will be awaiting Monday in the heat.
