I submitted an order for a plaque on May 25 that included adding a photo. On May 26, I received an…read moreemail from the company stating that they do not print photos onsite and that I would need to provide a printed copy myself. Unfortunately, this information was never disclosed online prior to placing the order. Had that been clearly stated, I would have selected a different product from the beginning. I responded to the email explaining that this information was not available online and stated that I would instead like to order a different item. However, after sending my response, I received an email notifying me that my order had simply been canceled. There was no phone call, follow-up email, or attempt to ask what alternative item I would like to purchase. I then called the store and spoke with Jon. I explained that I felt the order was handled poorly and that a courtesy call or email should have been made before canceling the order, especially to discuss replacement options. During the conversation, Jon was dismissive and rude. When I asked to speak with a manager, he stated that he runs the store. I then asked for the owner's contact information, and he responded by saying, "That doesn't matter." As a returning customer, I found this interaction extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Rather than addressing my concerns, Jon repeatedly mentioned that he had worked for the company for 14 years, as though that excused the way I was treated. I value professionalism and customer service, especially when supporting local businesses. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect either. I will be sharing my experience with coaching colleagues and others in my network so they are aware of how customers may be treated.

I was able to call and speak with the woman in charge who was able to ask me a few questions and if I had been on the website. The website wasn't truly easy for me to navigate - I let her know I would prefer to have see in person. So I made an appointment to come in the store the woman then walked me to the upstairs trophy display case and was able to describe and explain the differences between those that are offered and shown and how much customization I could do as well. After having picked out all the few details that I wanted including the shape and material- I was able to move onto the words that I would like engraved and also the picture. I was then given a mock up of the receipt which I decided to pay for on the spot. After this I have been in contact via email because I was quoted a date I would be reached out to but I hadn't heard anything, so as a new customer I sort of panicked lol I did get very prompt responses afterward. My experience went pretty well even with that small hiccup.
