It's been a little while since I've patroned Say Cheese Pizza. So, last night I was having a pizza craving and ordered a couple pizzas, 1 for my wife and 1 for myself. And I was reminded why I missed them and shouldn't be taking so long between visits. Ordered the wedge salad today after a friend recommended it. It was very good. Chicken was a bit salty but super moist. I'd possibly ask for half seasoning next time on that. The dressing combo with Gorgonzola was delicious. My only complaint is that they give you legit heads of romaine lettuce. This would be impossible to eat as takeout. We went go-kart racing Grand Island, NY for my 17 year old nephew's birthday. We were looking for cool place to eat dinner afterwards, Say Cheese Pizza was only 6 minutes away so we decided to give them a go. I heard of this spot a while go but have never had the pleasure to check it out. First, when you pull up you see huge Spiderman posing in the front of the building. Why is Spiderman hanging out at a Pizza Restaurant ? Well, Say Cheese Pizza is comic book themed restaurant!! There are comic book references every where, even on the ceiling and tables !!! My family really enjoyed taking pic with the life size action figuires. By the way if you are looking for actual comic books, you can check out the store next door. Ok, lets get to the food !!! First off they have a full bar with drink menu!! Now please forgive me for not taking better pictures but I went out to eat with a party of 10 we were starving,lol. We got 50 wings,bbq and medium and a party pizza as well as a 2 foot pizza !! Our waitress was super helpful and patient my crew. She gave really great sugguestions as well. The food came out with in a reasonable time for the large amount we ordered. Everything was hot, the cup and char pepperonis on the pizza with a nice cheese pull. The wings were both crispy and saucy !! We definetly over ordered and was very happy to take food home, lol. After eating, we took pics with comic book characters and checked out their small arcade. This spot was definetly a lot of fun for everyone and it also had pretty good food. I definetly reccomend this restarant to pretty much any one, fun for both kids and adults. The pizza tasted ok but a bit greasy. They charge too much to add pepperoni to a cheese pizza, then for extra pepperoni (total cost $7.00), overpriced in my opinion. For 2 people eating, total cost was about $60.00 out the door. Also, the penne pasta with meatballs was the worst I have ever had, the sauce tasted like Ragu from the jar, absolutely no flavor, and as for the meatballs, they were not homemade, that's for sure. They tasted like the frozen generic ones you buy at Walmart for a cheap price, dry and absolutely gross!! Looked all good and all until you go to scoop yourself some onto your plate. I would of loved to take it back for a refund. I think this restaurant should focus on pizza and wings only. Five. Stars for their cheesy bread, and Philly, steak sandwich! We did an UBER reach order on the recommendation of my client. The cheesy bread was grilled or baked to perfection, but the wedge salad was incredibly unique and delicious. It was so good. I had the salad for breakfast the next morning. I ordered the beef steak sandwich, and it was like a Philly cheese steak and it's the best. I've had outside of Philadelphia ever.! I can't comment on the restaurant as it was an UBER order, but the food was absolutely delicious. My colleague ordered the buffalo wings and said they were extraordinary. I don't eat wings so I didn't try them, but everybody really liked them that shared them. So if you're ever in Buffalo, don't miss checking out. This wasn't my first time here and it won't be my last! The steak and cheese sub was awesome, I opted for the grilled peppers and onions, which was a nice add on. My brother has been coming to this Pizza spot for 8 years on the night before the Grand Island half marathon. We had the pleasure of joining him this year. When we first arrived on a Friday evening, we were told the wait could be 45 min to an hour. Thankfully, we only waited about 10 minutes and the sever was able to seat us in a large booth. The drinks were cold and refreshing. The salads and meal were flavorful generous portions. We enjoyed all of the comic book decor. Had 10 50 cent wings with a drink on Mondays with a good salad like blueberries or Greek with feta cheese. Service is generally very good. Food can sometimes take a while when it is busy or they are short handed. Interesting comic characters everywhere including on the tables. read more

Loud but fun restaurant to explore ! We just went for a walk and wanted to grab a quick takeout order . We decided to share a medium Steak pizza . While waiting for our order , we decided to look around and take selfies with the super hero statues that are found all over the restaurant. I did use the bathroom facilities , but the toilet was clogged (bad) . I let the gentleman know at the takeout counter - he let me know of another bathroom available and put an out of order sign on the door . (must of been a job for maintenance) About 20 minutes later, our pizza was ready and we got it home and was surprised as to how flavorful and fresh the pizza was, even with the drive home. Five stars is because our server Nicole was Awesome! Don't get me wrong our food was good but Nicole was GREAT. I had there chicken fettuccine Alfredo. The portion was huge! I wish it had a little more sauce but it tasted very good and came with very good garlic bread. We were with a large party of 12 to celebrate a friends birthday. They were able to accommodate us and our server Nicole brought her A-game! She kept our drink glasses full and the empty plates got removed from the table in an instant. Had to try this place, heard good things from friends. Our party consisted of three adults and one five year old. The little guy was all excited to see all the full size statues of superheroes. Plenty of adult games and a few for kids. Full service bar on site also. I had the chicken wing soup, which had a thinner stock than I'm used to, but plenty of chicken. We shared the pickle pizza, and medium wings with my mom. Wings were crispy; sauce had a great flavor, but was a bit milder than typical medium. Pickle pizza was very good; bbq sauce, onions, chicken fingers. Waitress was great, and prices were very reasonable ($13.99 for 10 wings) Interior was all superheroes; action figures, comics; tables all had characters printed on them. My children really enjoyed seeing the action figures displays. Our waitress was very polite and helpful with selecting drinks and food to purchase as we dined in to get the full experience. I was disappointed that the staff were not wearing masks despite the sign on the door telling visitors to wear a mask when entering. We ordered a large cheese and pepperoni and steak and cheese pizzas, fries, onion rings, soft pretzel with dip and wings. The soft pretzel was so soft and amazing!! The pizzas were hot and fresh and the fries were seasoned perfectly. Onion rings and wings were just ok. Our kids got free comics books to take home and coloring sheets to keep the occupied while we waited for food. Overall, ranking 1-10, I give a 6.5. I do plan on going back this summer. read more

WIN 291! My first win in New York! I defeated the "Pizzasaurus Rex" at Say Cheese Pizza Company in Grand Island, NY. Contestants have 40 minutes to finish the challenge. If one is successful, they receive the $25 meal for free. I finished in 23:58. The restaurant was also kind enough to give me a tshirt, since so few people win. In the menu, it states there have been only 24 winners out of 4,531 attempts (as of June 2019). The challenge consists of half of a cheese & pepperoni pizza, one pound of chopped ribeye steak, fire-roasted red peppers, grilled onions, Monterey Jack cheese, a pound of spicy fries, & then topped with garlic-herb bread. When I walked in, I wasn't expecting such a cool place. I've heard of this place before, but I had no idea they had games to play and such an extensive collection of super hero items. The bar is pretty cool, as their are comics on it. They also have a comic book store. My friend and I went in at 6:30 pm on a Friday, and it was not busy at all. There wasn't a wait. The parking lot looked like it was, but I think the space is large enough, and spread out enough that you can't tell how many people are really in the building. We tried the Kentucky Bourbon sauce, as I was contemplating what flavor of wings I was going to commit to. It was good, but a little too spicy for an order of wings. I asked what the Artie tasted like, and the waitress said it was a dry rub that was on the spicy side. I went with the sweet chili wings, which were crispy and good. My friend had the medium, which were also the same crispiness despite him not saying he wanted them extra crispy like I specified. We also ordered some bread sticks, which are the size of a pizza tray. So be prepared to eat your weight in bread sticks. The service was attentive. It was flavorful but thin, maybe like the old Chuck e cheese pizza. The pepperonis were great. The curled up and that way that the hold the grease. Mild wings were pretty spicy but tasty. The atmosphere is what makes this place stand out over others. This place is so cool for any comic fan. It is decorated with comics, statues of various superheroes, and pictures from superheroes comics. They also have a tiny store, in which you can buy comics, figurines, and shirts. Some comics available are collectibles, which are behind cases. The food is average with most local places. They give you a ton for the money. I had the Dorito Burrito. It was a large ground beef burrito with cool ranch Doritos inside. It had a lot of beef, which hid the taste of the chips. Every once in awhile you tasted the Dorito. It came with tater tots on the side which were perfectly crispy. My brother ordered the Pizza Sub and said it was like someone made a pizza and then closed it into a sub. He loved it. We ordered the Chicken Bread to try as an appetizer. It could have even been a meal. It was good but had a lot of blue cheese. I am not a fan of blue cheese and was hoping it had less. So let's just say visually? This is the place of my dreams. Comic decor EVERYWHERE and I mean everywhere. The bar top was covered in comic book covers. Around the top are figurines that are also for sale. There is even a small comic store that is ok. But that isn't why you are there. You are there to take your picture with the life size statues of your favorite heroes! Now on to the food. I ordered a Stromboli that was huge! Definitely big enough for 2 people to share. However it was not cooked all the way though and the center wasn't hot. It didn't have a nice crust that was flaky and seasoned well. It was good but I wouldn't order it again. Last was the service. And like the food it was acceptable. I wasn't greeted when I walked it, but I'm sure they get tons of people who just walk in and take pictures. However a hello would have been nice. When I finally sit down at the bar I was helped fairly quickly. Much like the food, the service was good not great. HUGE disappointment on Grand Island !! Service was kind and gracious. It's like they have changed suppliers and the wings are fatty and horrible. They were undercooked and we sent them back. Whoever answered the phone definitely doesn't know the menu, I ordered a fish fry because he told me there is not skin on the fish - well one bite in there was and it was super slimy! Also I ordered it Cajun and instead it was beer battered. The fries that came with it were so salty they were barely edible and the salads had such a tang that they didn't taste fresh at all. I work on the island so my dad and I are hitting all the spots. The comic and superhero hero theme is refreshing. It's nice to have fun decor!! Really cool if you're into that kind of thing! Giant statues to take pics with your fav characters. I got the flatbread pizza as I cannot eat regular pizza due to a health thing and it is DELICIOUS! I had to ask for it cause it's not on the in life menu but they do have it! My dad got the old world pizza and he loved it. He also got the chicken finger sub which he liked and they make the rolls in house! We got the banana pepper dip for an appetizer too and it was pretty yummy.
