Loved the atmosphere here! I sat on the patio with my dog Stella. She was very welcomed by all the nice waitresses! Our waitress was Kaitlin and she was so sweet. She brought out a water bowl for Stella and gave her lots of love. I started with a flight of beers. I had the pretzel for my appetizer which Stella loved it too. Then for my dinner I had the tiki bowl. Everything was perfect perfect portions and ratios to all the food. This is actually a 'go to' place for me and my 9 year old daughter, especially on Monday night when kids eat free! Also other nights when they have an in house magician perform at the tables especially ones with kids - it's really great and added a unique twist to the experience. The service staff and everyone in general seems to do a good job, although there is a lot going on at any time in this place. It's large like a brewery would be, with the vats in the back, with a garage feel and outdoor tables which is nice, and seems to be self serve which is a nice alternative to waiting for a table. There is a back patio with full service and lots of other areas within the restaurant to suit any size party. The reason I give it 3 stars is the food has been somewhat disappointing lately. Nothing earth shattering but to someone who is a long time customer, you start to notice the subtle changes likely brought on by the higher cost of the food no doubt. But they keep innovating, we lost the half price, dozen claims, but gained $4 tacos during the week, including a beef and chicken that are not usually on the menu. It's still a popular place and conveniently located just across the border in Niagara County on Transit Road. Lots of parking, I would recommend it to someone who is unfamiliar with the area and wants something not known for pizza or wings. And can bring the kids too. read more

Not so great. When arrived, the hostess was on a call for a while and didn't apologize for the wait, which I understand but I feel like she should've said something. I had the NYBP Manhattan Mac and the Parmesan truffle fries. This so-called mac & cheese is just noodles and a curdled cream sauce. The sauce had pretty much no cheese flavor and had to season it with salt and pepper. The "bread-topping" was a crumbled Ritz cracker. The truffle fries were just alright. I wish there was less Parmesan. The Parmesan flavor was very overwhelming and that's pretty much all you could taste. Besides the nice texture, the fries got boring very quickly. The bread stick things served with the Mac tasted like chemicals, had to spit it out. The soft pretzel and fried pickle appetizers are great though. This is another discovery for me from the WNY Craft Brew Tour Cards from Habitat for Humanity. Love the atmosphere! High ceilings, bright space, and plenty of fun decor. I got the buckleberry wheat beer and it was pretty good. The pizza was a big HECK YES for me - oregano-heavy sauce, tons of mozzarella, and spicy cup pepperoni. Crust is on the thicker side and very flavorful. I brought some home and the rest was good for cold-pizza-breakfast (better hot with the cheese melty but still quite delicious as leftover). I think there was faint holiday music playing in the background. I was debating between 4 and 5 stars, and the great service is what pushed it up to 5. read more

This isn't a place for a great cocktail, get a beer. While the menu looks great, stick with the smaller plates. The pretzel was outstanding. The bricks of mozzarella sticks were terrific. The Manhattan Short ribs were decent, a little dry and the Demi Glas was more of a burnt gravy than a flavorful silky sauce. But everything is very reasonably priced! read more

My husband and I just ate here for an early Valentine's lunch. Michelle was a great waitress but that's where the positivity stopped. As we've eaten here before, we got the nachos and chicken Mac and cheese. The nachos were the saddest looking thing we've ever seen. No toppings on half of them. My absolute favorite app there is their huge Mozzarella Logs. (One is already missing from the photo.) They are so delicious. My friend recommended the Buffalo cauliflower, and she didn't lead us astray. Tasted like a good Buffalo boneless wing. For my entree I ordered the seasonal Beef Birria bowl. A good amount of spice. He gave me a couple of samples of their beer, and I decided on Dublin the Fun, which is a tasty Irish ale. Since it was burger night, which offers a five dollar discount on their burger platters, we decided to order the Boss Burger, and for an upcharge, I got the sweet potato fries with brown sugar cream cheese sauce. So decadent! My husband ordered the truffle parmesan fries and they were also incredible. We were able to order a gluten free bun, which sealed the deal. We had a great experience at New York Beer Project! The place is huge with such a fun, energetic vibe perfect for a night out with family or friends. I ordered the Time Square Burger with the truffle Parmesan fries, and wow 10/10! The burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The fries were crispy with just the right amount of truffle. One small downside: someone in our group ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich, and unfortunately, half of it was mostly just fried batter with very little chicken inside. Kind of a letdown compared to everything else. That said, the rest of the food, drinks, and atmosphere more than made up for it. Definitely planning to come back soon! read more

I ordered their Destination IPA and my husband got a stout. I don't remember the kind but it had a coffee flavor. We ordered a nacho plate to munch on while enjoying our beer. We both enjoyed our beers. The nachos were ok but lack a bit of flavor. It could have used a little acid, maybe some lime. The bartender was super friendly and service was good. Stopped here as part of the WNY Beer Trail Pass where we get BOGO beer. The pass gives us opportunities to visit different breweries, try their beer and food. We sat at the bar, ordered our beers and food. The bartender was freindly and helpful. Service was fast but I'm not sure how it would be during busy times. It is a huge space with a second floor. I saw people enjoying their beer and lunch. The most important take away I have is that the beer is cold and the food tastes good. So it was my birthday and I decided I wanted to catch brunch with my kids. Without much planning, but knowing we have been wanting to check out NYBP for a while now. We pulled up the menu and headed there. We walked into this rustic warehouse type structure. There are plenty of televisions so we didn't miss seeing some of the game. I love to be able to catch the game when I got to a brunch spot. I wish there were more televisions a bit closer. It's a great position if you are sitting at the bar..but from across the room the view isn't the very best. But it isn't actually a sports bar so that's fine. The ambiance was great. Seats were comfortable and I enjoyed my very large picture window. Now on to the food. They have a monthly menu along with the regular menu, so you have weekly specials to choose from also. Our waitress Amanda was wonderful and welcoming. She asked if it were our first time and proceeded to explain things on the menu. I opted for the fried bacon ride bowl and my guests had stuffed french toast and an omlette. We decided on a Pretzel for an Appetizer and I ordered the flight to try out. The Pretzel was great ..nice and soft and the Queso was great. The flight was wonderful. A combination of sweet, sour and seasonal. I think the cider margarita was my favorite and the sugar around the rim made it an even better pick. The problem was this fried bacon bowl. The description for me was deceiving.. I expected fried rice with bacon. What I got was boiled rice that was a bit gummy then add the tomatoes and onion and it added to gummy then the broken up strip of bacon (there wasn't much there) which ended up being soggy. The presentation and idea was great but the execution was a different story. Add a person with severe texture issues and I was done at 2 bites and not wanting to even bother. Amanda was great at pushing me to try something else. Unfortunately by then I had no appetite, but I relented and agreed to try a burger. I was able to eat a small portion and it was very flavorful and made fresh. They forgot the sweet potato fries and served it with regular ones, but Amanda packed them to go when she realized it. While It wasn't the greatest experience. The customer service was great. I may give them another chance in the future. read more

Went to the New York beer project Sunday for brunch. I ordered their brisket hash and my wife a breakfast pizza. The hash was delicious and large enough to satisfy with enough to bring a little bit home for a quick breakfast. The pizza was too big to finish and we both enjoyed the rest at home. We usually only go for drinks but it's one of my sons favorites places to go( my older kids all love it ) but i never had a great meal here . So ten of us , and let's me first say Cayla was our server and she was amazing! Water was spilled and lots of special requests and she did it all with a smile . There are no half-stars in Yelp, but this is probably more of a 3 1/2 for me than a four, but it's Christmastime and I'm generous. I've been to NYBP for the Silent Disco and the Dueling Pianos. Fun events. Maybe a little more crowded than I'd like in a Covid world, but I attended these events pre-pandemic and the crowds weren't as scary then as they may be now. When you go to an event like that, you expect laughter and loud talking and probably going home with a bit of a sore throat after yelling over the crowd all night. My husband and I went for an early dinner this week. It was before 5pm on a Monday night. The place was more crowded than we had expected (yay for popular restaurants!), but we were still able to find a decent parking spot (yay for all that great parking at NYBP!). However, my watch warned me no fewer than three times that the noise decibels were high enough to damage my hearing. My husband pulled out his noise dosimeter (cuz that's the kind of guy he is) and read the noise levels consistently at 87-92. It was really hard to keep a conversation going. But now let me get on with the rest of my review for you whippersnappers. The food was pretty good. I have never had a bad meal here, but still haven't been wowed. This visit, my husband had a burger that he really enjoyed. That sucker was huge and fully stacked! He also enjoyed his fries. I had the crustless chicken pot pie. The creamy chicken part was really good, but I was not a fan of the flaky crust. Don't get me wrong; I love a good flaky crust! The flavor of this one just wasn't to my liking. You might love it, though! Our server was really great about refills and being attentive to us even though there were quite a few full tables that night. In the past, I ordered the wedge salad. I love a great wedge salad, but I'm not a blue cheese girl. They had no problem substituting the ranch, but they don't have any options for cheese that were to my liking. I admit, though, I am picky about my cheese. I just don't enjoy a pungent cheese. They offered gorgonzola instead of blue cheese, and while I love a gorgonzola in a fondue, I'm not a fan of gorgonzola crumbles on my wedge. Basically, I wanted shredded American or cheddar. They didn't have either and that's really okay. I know that wedge is fantastic to anyone who loves the soft, pungent cheese. When my brother and sister-in-law were in town from California, I really loved bringing them to NYBP to sample a flight. I've never been a big beer drinker, but my brother owns a microbrewery out west and I knew he'd really enjoy the experience. This is where my brother told me, "You should try a sour; I'll bet you'd love it." He was right. Guess what, Guys? I am a beer drinker! But sours only, please. Anyway, at that time of day - shortly after opening for the day - the bar was quiet and we could hear one another really well. That's the time of day to go if, like me, you want to have a conversation with the people you came with. read more
