It was time to try someplace new. Neighbors have been recommending 773 so we figured it was time to check it out. We were seated quickly even though it was dinner time on a Friday. The place was full though. Atmosphere is very nice, we may have been a touch underdressed for the occasion, or others simply felt like being a bit fancier tonight. The staff was friendly and hustling but it seemed to just be one waitress and the hostess taking care of all 10 or so tables. I guess that actually isn't horrible. I started with the soup of the day. Beef of weck. It was INCREDIBLE. I'd take home a gallon of it it if I could. Creamy. Nice and warm on a cold night. The weck croutons were the cherry on top. Then for my dinner I had the beef on weck panino. The waitress recommended it. Perfectly toasted. Served with au jus and horseradish aioli. So delicious. I'd get it again and again. Also came with homemade chips and a pickle. My husband got the classic beef of weck. It was really tender. Cooked perfectly. The horseradish was strong. Just the way he likes it. He said he would definitely order it again, but it didn't crack the top 3 of beef joints in WNY. read more

The 773 chips are amazing....the flavors sound crazy but marry well together. Definitely a must try. Made with homemade chips. Service was outstanding and the wait staff is polite from the moment we walked in until we left. The setting is casual with the food being a bit upscale. Recommend this restaurant. Great little spot! Looked like a great bar area! We sat in the dining room! Service was great! My wife and I started with the mushroom soup which had a ton of mushrooms and great flavor! I ordered the pot roast and she had the Sicilian mussels! The pot roast was excellent although I thought that there were way more potato than meat! The menu was great, I loved that it was small, but still had plenty of options that included every protein, and so many flavors. Baguette with Honey-Cinnamon Butter 9/10 The butter was great, kinda like Texas Roadhouse. The baguette was nice, but the harder crust layer made it more difficult to bite. Cheese curds - Buffalo 9/10 Wish they were a little crispier. A few of the curds were just breading, cheese melted out. Flavor wise, the Buffalo style sauce was perfect flavor and spiciness. Cajun chicken & sausage penne pasta w peppers and onions 10/10 Really good. Flavor was great. (Kyle stinks at reviews, sorry) Gorgonzola steak Alfredo 8/10 Asked for a little pink in the steak (I like it medium), it had no pink at all. The Gorgonzola cream sauce was not bad, a little bland. There was a thin coating, and I think it needed a little bit more sauce on all of the noodles in general. There was also of balsamic drizzle, it definitely had a very noticeable taste in every bite, and I just wish I was able to taste that Gorgonzola cream a little more than i tasted the balsamic. Chocolate peanut butter pie 8/10 Decent. I just wish I tasted more peanut butter. It was more the consistency of a cheesecake than a pie. read more

My family had a surprise party at 773. There were around 20 of us. The service was phenomenal, all of our meals came out at the same time and everyone was quite pleased with their meal. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The party was a great success because the place was soo helpful and accommodating. I went there for lunch last week and yet again everything was great. Had a great meal either friends. The Harvest salad was amazing. I love the fact you can pick what cheese is on the salad. Yes you are able to substitute a cheese for another, but it was just nice to pick. The Cuban egg rolls were very bland and I'd stay away from those. Those were disappointing. French onion soup looked and smelled amazing as several people ordered that at my table. The waitress was very attentive and had great vibes. 773 North was a surprise. I'd read reviews but still didn't know quite what to expect, and it was delicious. The waitress was very knowledgeable and the food was amazing. I got the Gorgonzola steak pasta and the balsamic added the perfect tang. I would say that I wouldn't necessarily order any desserts as they are all brought in from outside sources but I would absolutely eat dinner here again. read more

Can we talk soups for a minute? You never know when you walk into a restaurant if it's ever a good idea to order soup. A watery bowl of sadness and congealed fat that you just know is a week old. Not at 773 North. Best soups in WNY. It's a great and cozy place. Slightly older crowd, but that's almost a virtue. The food is excellent and the service great. There aren't too many reasons to dine in Grand Island, but 773 North is well worth the trip over the bridge. read more

773 is in our regular dining cycle, we try to go at least once per month. We are continually impressed with their scratch made meals, inventive takes on classic dishes, and great atmosphere. The bartenders are all personable and attentive, the kitchen is relatively fast considering what they are making. Prices are very reasonable as well! One of our favorites! I highly recommend the pot roast or the beef on weck panino, heck I haven't had anything bad there but those are some favorites. read more

A wonderful spot for dinner. I've been here once before for brunch with friends and it was wonderful so we decided to come back again for dinner. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves. It was one of the only places that easily accepted our request for a reservation for a party of 8 on a weekend with short notice. The atmosphere is great! Some people were running late because of traffic and work schedules and we were super apologetic because our reservation was closer to closing time. But the Chef /Owner Christy came right over and told it wad fine and that they had no problem giving us more time. We were very thankful for her kindness and patience with us. Once everyone arrived we ate and drank and had a ball. Christy came over and did shots with the table. It was awesome. The food was to die for!! We shared mussels and Cubano eggrolls for the table. Now I'm not usually a mussel kind of girl but anything the Chef makes at 773 I'm going to try and they were great. I sopped up all that flavor with my bread. Yum!! I can't remember what everyone had but I know there were orders for the floating pork chop, shrimp and scallop amore, the Thanksgiving sandwhich,sandwich, soulvaki wrap, salmon and parmesan crusted chicken for me. The only time we were actually quiet was when our entrees came. I'm positive everyone loved their food. It was a wonderful evening I'm hoping to make it back for restaurant week. There's a great deal there and I know the food will be great. ***And anytime Chef Christy makes roasted veggies or seasonal veggies for fall and winter, run, don't walk. Honestly I think it's one of the greatest restaurants on the island. I'm not really a huge fan of their breakfast but I definitely do enjoy their dinner options. One of their best dishes is the chicken Parm!! I don't even know how they make it so perfect!! I also had the French onion soup and it was so good!! The only reason I am not giving them five star is because my husband didn't really enjoy his Fish fry. But other than that I definitely would go back. Also sidenote apparently you have to call in earlier to get a booth because they're always reserved. read more

Absolutely a wonderful gastric experience! We are older and just can't consume the quantities that most restaurants serve for dinners so we split most of the time but expand our tips to reflect the smaller tabs. On this trip we split the Alfredo beef dish which was delicious and of sufficient quantity to make us both very happy. We started with a fantastic appetizer which was mozzarella cheese topped with balsamic vinegar and fruit. Absolutely delicious with the bite size slices of French bread. The entire meal was just out of this world good as was the outstanding service. EXQUISITELY DONE!!! Service, ambiance, food, drinks: EXQUISITE!!! Personal attentive service with food quality and presentation way beyond compare. The pictures clearly show presentation but does not even come close to the titular-taste sensations delivered every morsel to the tongue. This is definitely a weekly-regular date-night destination. Great place, with a warm family feel. This was picked for lunch from a coworker. We came in we were immediately greeted and sat. The place was extremely busy, but for a smaller restaurant they handled it well. The staff was great. They were extremely helpful and pleasant. What I really liked was the fact that there were 5 of us and 3 were drinking the same soda so the waitress brought pitchers of soda out. This is great for us and saves them time, I consider that a professional waitress move. We all picked different items from the menu. All of it looked delicious and that was expressed by the people eating it. I ordered a cob salad with steak. I ordered the steak medium and that's how it came out. The steak was cooked just the way I would cook it, and just the way I love it. The big steak was very tender and juices were everywhere. The salad itself was a huge portion with fresh vegetables. The even have their own house special dressing. It is a sweet onion creamy vinaigrette, very tasty. The only thing I found odd and cool was the men's room, this is because there is the backend of an impala hanging on the wall. The bathroom decor really didn't fit with the dining room. WOW! My boyfriend and I were blown away by this restaurant. We're from Miami, so we've been to our fair share of high-end restaurants and let me tell you, this one TAKES THE CAKE. First off, the service is incredible. The host and waitress both made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. They treated us so special and made us feel like family. The food...probably one of the best meals we've ever had. We started with the French onion soup (top 2 in our lifetimes) and then he had the Pot Roast and I had the Parmesan chicken. We didn't stop talking about it. And then we topped it off with a Strawberry Rhubarb cheesecake, the PERFECT way to end the night. literally the BEST fish I've ever had my whole lenten season life. I have not stopped thinking about the immaculate flavor of the Lemon Pepper fish. I pray they will keep it on the menu, or as a special year round. I even abstained from the use the tartar sauce. and I always use tartar sauce. The homeade mac salad and French onion soup were to die for ! I will be a faithful patron of 773 North for days to come, and suggest all fellow flavor worshippers do the same . The food here is great. I called ahead to see if reservations were needed luckily it was early enough 5 PM and they were not needed. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I read reviews saying otherwise, however, that was not the case tonight I only wish they made more in house desserts or maybe got in with the village bake shop in Lewiston...hint hint. Other than that my Thanksgiving sandwich was tasty, French onion was good enough to go back for, the tapas plate was very fresh and would recommend. So I'll be going again throughout the year the menue was big enough for me to visit multiple times and try new things. I just hope they don't run out of shepherds pie. Ps I was told they do sell out of certain things so come early people I was also the last person to get the in house made dessert of strawberry rhubarb pie. The hostess was extremely rude. no where on google .. or their website says you need to make a reservation to eat. we walk in and the hostess demanded to know in a rude looking down on us kind of way that if ee had a reservation. the place was fn empty. she then said she would have to see if the manager would let us eat. . as if we werent fit to eat there. her tone of voice and choice if words were extremely condescending and rude. read more
