We are not picky people & Give grace for a lot. The place had a very obnoxious group come in from the bar being very loud & cussing Loudly. It took over an hour to get 4 sushi rolls. And the rolls tasted terrible. It was our one & only time to eat there. Very disappointing. Staff were even partaking in the loud cussing behavior. read more

As we near the end of the week, most of the restaurants around here are busy, but not here, and I learned why. Despite a few people at the bar, the place has only a few patrons and even fewer disinterested servers. We have been to Sayama's several times and always thought the food was tasty until tonight. The online order took 30 minutes longer than they said. We ordered 4 sushi rolls and they were the diameter of a quarter. They fell apart when picking them up. Half the rolls did not come with ginger, the other half had two meager slices. There was no soy sauce. The tuna looked like it had come out of a can. The rice tasted stale. It was such a disappointing meal. It took 45 min to get my food. I watched 4 patrons leave because of the long wait. When people are on a limited schedule for lunch we think you'd be done in an hour. Not at this place. Also the food was not good. The beef I got with my bento was tough. The 2 pieces of sake salmon was cut by a 4th grader. Not worth the price for the amount of fish. And the roll the bento box comes with doesn't come as advertised. I asked for the salmon roll and it didn't have salmon.. also the waitress wasn't nice. Don't come here. Save your money read more

They ran out of sushi rice and used regular rice that was dry, kinda like grocery store sushi that's been out too long. Big no-no. Teriyaki chicken bento was just unseasoned chicken over rice, with a little cup of teriyaki sauce to pour over everything. Meats with sauce should be cooked IN the sauce. The pour over thing is just lazy and absolutely no skill involved. It all tasted ok, but it's definitely not worth the prices. Our experience has left us not wanting to return. Our food was not the quality that it should have been. Server forgot to order our to go order, our food took extra long to come out. They steamed salad mix for our veggie , sushi rolls very loose and fell apart. No one willing to check for Dyes for guests allegations. This was in June and we have not been back. read more

I have wanted to try this place we have been to Ogawa's. This is a really nice place. I love the decor and it is very fitting to the Asian theme. Service slow to start but once it came it was great service, our waitress was very attentive. We split a couple dishes and a spicy ginger beef bowl spicy tuna (which was tasty) couple bowls of miso soup. The best part we got out the door for $25 which is pretty hard to do nowadays for sure! read more

We had such a great experience at this restaurant from the moment we walked in. We were greeted with a friendly face from our waitress and quickly sat down. The restaurant is extremely clean with modern decor. The food is amazing and the flavor is on-point! I had a bento box with salmon (I'm typically not a salmon person), but I am now. That was probably one of the best tasting pieces of salmon I have ever had. Let me takk about those sauteed veggies, amazing! The salad that came with my meal was quite tasty and fresh. I could not get enough of the again dressing on my husband's salad, so I ended up eating it all. The prices are so reasonable for the amount of food. Like I said, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back each time we come through. read more

The food was absolutely awful. The Miso soup was absolutely cold. The server was rude and insulted me, by saying "there are no Japs around" when I mentioned the authenticity of the food. Rude and racist is how I would describe the young man. This place deserves 0 stars but I gave them 1. Driving through town and saw they served japanese food. As we're being seated, we hear a couple complaining they've been waiting over 30mins for their food. The waiter told them it would be another 10 minutes so the couple got upset and walked out. It didn't appear to be busy with only 2 other tables seated. The same waiter..the only waiter here..came and took our order. Our food came out pretty quick. The miso soup and udon soup had flavor but it was served lukewarm, not even steaming as clear broths should be. The shrimp tempura tasted like it was fried in days old oil that we could only take a few bites. The dragon roll looked beautiful but it was bland. Maybe some unagi sauce could've helped. Super disappointed with this restaurant after trying them two separate times. While the wait staff has been great, the food just left something to be desired. I love sushi, so I tried some very basic rolls, and they weren't very flavorful or even put together that well. The teriyaki bowls also were just "eh". The yakisoba noodles were a little hard, the meat wasn't seasoned well so it was underwhelming and the veg looked a little past its prime. We went here Saturday night about 6 pm. The service was horrid (there was only one other table). We ordered sushi for 2 of us, scallops for another, and a chicken teriyaki bowl. We got the sushi 20 minutes before the other 2 meals. The teriyaki bowl was boring. They don't provide chili paste and the teriyaki sauce was more of a sweet chili sauce. I asked for teriyaki sauce and got more of the sweet chili sauce. The sushi was good, but considering we had such poor service, the teriyaki bowl was not flavorable, and our meals didn't come out together make this a 2 star (at best). read more

We loved the food and I liked being able to get a cocktail with my dinner. And it was a really good cocktail with a top notch selection of gin . The service was good too, our server was so nice. The reason why I didn't give this place a one-star is because I actually like the food that the sushi chefs put out. It was the waiter. To start with I waited almost 30 minutes to order. When I asked him how come it took so long... he said he was busy and it was just him and I said I'm sorry that you don't have help. Then he said oh I don't need help. So I put my order in it was another 20 minutes and I had ordered two rolls and I only got one. And then he told me I did not order two rolls. I wasn't going to argue with him. And then he said do you really want two rolls? I was like what the.... And I also asked for a side of pickled ginger which he forgot. And when I reminded him he went over to the sushi chef area and grabbed a clump of ginger with his (dirty)fingers and came back over with it and threw it down on my plate. And said here you go! It did shock me a bit. I was definitely grossed out. There is no way I would eat it so I proceeded to take it off my plate finished my rolls and left. How disgusting! I will not go to a place when they have people working there like him. It's kind of sad because their Sushi isn't bad. read more

Sayama grill has been really kicking it with the sauces that they give you with your bowls. Most of the time the mafa chicken is wonderful. Only one time out of four was a little dry. Besides, that friendly staff, and decent portions for your money. read more
