We came in with our step-daughter for a nice dinner without the grandkids. Good choice! The atmosphere was warm and well themed, the staff was welcoming and accommodating, and the food was flavorful. Chimichanga's are my weakness, and they had a very good version, mine made with chicken. Others very much enjoyed their meals as well, with two of our group taking leftovers to enjoy another meal. We had one problem with apparently one of our dishes made wrong. The manager (owner?) asked to clarify what we ordered, and immediately went back to take care of it! We went here 5 or so years ago on our way to tillamook from Utah . It was almost 9 and closing time but they let us in to eat . It was amazing then and tonight we found it by chance . The ambiance , music , the food and service was a 10 . We had the fiesta enchiladas with chicken . One plate served both of us ... amazing salsa and beans with chips ... will be back on our way home . Stopped in here for a bite. There was quite a few of us in our party. It seems to be a local favorite as there were quite a few people in the restaurant. We tried several menu items and all were good and full of flavor. Service was prompt and portion sizes fit the price. There interior was clean and had great decoration. I stopped in here a couple a weeks back wit a pally a mine. The service, if yas can call it dat was slow and unfriendly. The food was old and tired, like me, like it had been lay'in around in a pan awhile before they served it ta anyone. Really disappointing meal. The waiter, and the waitress who brought out the chips and salsa, seemed liked they'd rather be doing anything else than serving us. I wasn't asking for much, but friendliness would have been nice. The food was incredibly poor quality. The steak in my husband's steak burrito was in tiny little chunks that were completely burnt and crunchy. My chicken enchiladas had zero flavor with it being obvious that they don't season their meat, the sauce was basically colored water and the entire dish was covered an inch of cheese to mask the flavor. My parent's steak fajitas also contained completely charcoaled steak that was inedible and everyone's beans tasted like someone accidentally dropped an entire salt shaker in them while cooking. Even the lemonade my husband and daughter ordered was disgusting; all syrup, and no apology from the waiter when we pushed them to the end of the table. Basically, we will never go back. My husband loves their pork burritos, that's the only thing he orders here. I myself haven't liked anything I get here. I went with the Casadias with meat inside ..the flour tortillas were burnt, and had to be cut with a knife. I asked for beans but no rice. I didn't get beans. Whether they came with it or not, I asked for beans. My husband had the pork and he couldn't eat them cuz they were hot like they added japlenols. To us it was totally a waste of money. When the old owners had it, it was SO good and the food tasted way better. I was hoping nothing was going to change. When my hubby and I went just after the new ownership you can tell things were different. We just chalked it up to it being new for them and gave it a handful of more visits and then gave up. First time eating there. My last time eating there. The only good thing I can say is ..no..there was nothing good about the experience. Will start with the roach in my water. This is one of the first Mexican food places we tried when we moved out here. The service was fast and friendly but none of us finished our food. It was bland and poorly prepared. I think Apollo L. might be being a bit too harsh. I stayed in Ontario while working in Vale for several summers a number of years ago. We would regularly go here. Is this the best Mexican food you'll ever eat? No. Is it "authentic" Mexican food? No. Is it perfectly palatable Tex-Mex? Yes. There's one thing you can be sure of when you travel to these out of way places, you're going to have three choices as to where to get something to eat. It will be a fast food place, a gas station or a mexican restaurant. The Ontario-Fruitland area is no exception. There were at least a half dozen mexican places to choose from, we decided to just stop in at whatever we find in downtown Ontario. Fiesta Guadalajara seemed to be promising as we noticed that the place had a halfway decent lunchtime crowd. Looking at the menu, it was pretty standard mexican fare although they seemed to emphasize the enchilada's. I ordered the carne asada, one of my companions ordered the Carne Colorado Enchilada and the other ordered a taco salad (wimp!). Upon seating we were offered the standard tortilla chips with salsa. One interesting touch was that they also offered refried beans with the salsa. Salsa was chunky and tasted great with good tomato flavor with just a touch of heat. Beans were done the classic way, fried with lard, not vegetable oil. I struggled with the lard flavor but my companions loved it. Entree came about 15 minutes later piping hot. My carne asada came with beans, rice and flour tortillas. I would have preferred corn tortilla's but no biggie. Rice was pretty standard if not a bit dry. The carne asada was done "well done" and it was pretty tough meat. Flavor was fine, just a touch oily. Overall this is a pretty decent place. Clean environment, attentive service and decent mexican food. read more

Despite the nifty atmosphere and friendly staff, the food here really sucks. The salsa picante is just their normal salsa-from-a-can with crushed red peppers in it.
