During that year not one issue I had was corrected nor was a tax year filed on my behalf. The whole period was drawn-out due to response times that were over two to four weeks per enquiry, often with me having to write a follow-up email, and often when a reply arrived it did not address the outstanding questions. My requests for a phone discussions were ignored. During that period, I managed to have two tax preparations created, I signed them but they were never filed by Haywards. A reason has never been given. I have also asked for a copy of a filing from a previous year. By law they are required to send me a copy. I have not received a copy and I have made many requests. Towards the end of the 2020 year, my tax preparer stopped altogether replying to my emails even though our prior exchanges had continued to be civil. I phoned and emailed the owners of Haywards directly, to which there was also no reply. The period to file the current tax year passed as I attempted to contact them to resolve issues. Fifteen months later, in 2021, I received an email from my assigned tax preparer stating that they were uneducated in the type of tax preparation I required. Which is interesting because I clearly stated my tax circumstances and what I needed to accomplish from the beginning in March of 2020. It was agreed and I was taken on as a client. There are a lot more nuances to this horrible experience, I have all the correspondence that lays out all of the incorrect tax advice, negligence and incorrect preparation. It is just too involved to explain it all here. I will incur tax penalties due to their negligence. I have also contacted the BBB and have filed complaint forms with the IRS alerting them to maleficence.

Then I get excuses from three different people and it always seems that they're pushing the pay periods one to 2 times. They take months to take on preferred vendors. The person I spoke to were professional, courteous, and kind with my questions on the phone, and did direct me further to contact other individual Tax return companies. That was a wonderful experience to not just be pushed aside because I had some thing other than what they normally work on. I will keep them in mind when I am working with a company that needs to have their services because of that.
