Beautiful gardens with no fee to enter. I found it a little hard to navigate since there weren't any signs as to which path lead to which directions. Some paths led to the roads to exit the garden to the nearby neighborhoods. Mostly gravel paths made it difficult to push a stroller. Overall really pretty garden with many flower varieties and few water features.

Beautiful place to walk around. Most of it was paved. Nothing strenuous and can all be seen within an hour. We sat and enjoyed the fountain/fall colors for a while. Got crowded as it got later in the day. Free parking.

This is a hidden gem in Hamilton Township, a beautiful, well maintained botanical preserve. We visited in April with rhododendrons, azaleas, wisteria, and dogwoods in bloom, along with countless daffodils, columbine and other spring flowers. Walking the paths through the woods is delightful. There's seating along the way. Architectural details like wooden bridges add to the rustic enjoyment. Paths are well maintained but unpaved. There's a small lake, a gazebo, and restrooms. Parking and admission are free.

What a wonderful garden to walk around. So many different paths, flowers, water and animals to see. Will definitely be back to see it during fall and spring time.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP: For a seriously gorgeous garden and park experience, check out Sayen House and Gardens! A beautiful scene that comes to life in the spring and summer, this sanctuary is a peaceful spot to follow the paths through the flowers, trees, rock formations, and ponds. Leashed dogs are allowed everywhere but the Sayen House. Free admission too! The plant life comes from all over the world and is professionally cared for by groundskeepers. There were a lot of groups taking photos amongst the natural setting and we even saw a couple of weddings!

Highly recommend The Sayen House for your event ....Patty was very helpful from the moment I emailed her. All my questions were answered without hesitation and Patty was there every step of the way. The Sayen house was the perfect venue for my daughter's Baby Shower and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to host an event. Linda J Gilmore-McVey

Sayen Gardens is a great little find tucked away in unassuming Hamilton, NJ. It was brought to my attention by the Mother's Day Azalea event recently posted on Yelp by Katarina. Unfortunately, the weather for mother's day was predicted to be a downpour (which it was), so I had the foresight to take my mom on the Saturday before. And, she loved it. It's small, yet lots of great plants and flowers packed into the space along with gazebos, fountains and bridges. There are some trails, which we did not venture onto, because things were a bit muddy. It's a beautiful place for photographs. On the day we were there, there were people taking graduation cap and gown photos and communion photos. I think people also do wedding shots here. The best part, it's all free! Sayen House is open certain days during the year for tours. However, you can rent the property for weddings and other events.

I don't know why I didn't know this place when I was living nearby. The park is beautiful, such a (hidden) gem to explore. There is a main walkpath but you can also go into some part of the woods a little bit. A few groups were doing photo sessions.

You wouldn't have guessed there was an issue as she was right there to make sure things ran seamlessly. The rest of the staff of the boathouse from bartenders, to servers, chef, etc was fantastic! They made our day special & I cannot thank them enough! Everyone raved at how good the food was & that they enjoyed cocktail hour on the deck overlooking the lake. I believe Jennifer was our server who took care of my husband & I, making sure we had food in our bridal suite, tidying things up, that our drinks were always filled & just really wanting to make sure we were comfortable & taken care of throughout the evening. The boathouse met our needs & was perfect for us. I highly recommend!

This was the most disorganized staff and tasteless food I've ever had. At nearly $70 a plate one should NOT expect to run out of food NOR have bland COLD food served. I should have known this was going to be a horrible experience when they ran out of food 45min into the happy hour. I was also stopped at the door and told I couldn't bring the small plate of cold mozzarella sticks out the door because there was going be food served in the main ballroom. No shit but. The bland mozzarella stick was all I could gather from the EMPTY chafing pans. On to the main ballroom. BEAUTIFULLY decorated by the brides wedding planner. BEST part of this experience was everything done by the wedding planner and party. Main Ballroom Food: Alfredo, fillet mignon, salmon potatoes, string beans and assorted dessert. Alfredo COLD and BLAND!! Salt and pepper served no justice. Fillet NASTY cheap meat covered in some CHEAP ass Gorgonzola cheese. The presentation was disappointing. Salmon was mediocre and COLD. The potatoes and string beans were decent. There was a moment during dinner where someone at my table asked for more potatoes and we were told they ran out (no surprise) but when she brought and plate of potatoes and beans from ANOTHER TABLE to ours I was done!! WHO DOES THAT!! The Assorted dessert and wedding was not served in its entirety. Like every other table had wedding cake and assorted desserts. Overall, High cost cheap food and alcohol. I'm not even going to waste my time and talk about the bathroom not being refreshed 3 of the sinks were stopped up and there was toilet tissue and paper towels every where..... Just turn around and flee. The new ownership sucks. Contact me if you need recommendations. Oh, Thanks for the caesar salad Cedar Gardens, it was the best thing on the menu

We followed the signs to find the restaurant and there was plenty of parking right outside. We were seated immediately and I loved the dim lighting in the restaurant, although it was maybe a little strange that there were football games playing on two big screen TVs. I was looking for a more romantic setting for our date night, but it wasn't a huge deal. Our server, Will, did a great job throughout. The table bread was very light and airy, and the olive oil served with it was pretty decent tasting. I got the crab cakes for myself, while my wife got the grouper. The food was prepared reasonably quickly, and it was very tasty! In hindsight, I wish I would have gotten different sides (maybe mashed potatoes versus roasted potatoes, and a different veggie instead of green beans), but that's on me :) The menu online didn't have any prices when I looked, so I can inform you guys that the crab cakes were around $35 and the grouper was something like $30. We ended up finishing with the tiramisu, which was also quite tasty and good for sharing! Also, the wine and beer list was OK - I ended up getting some not-so-great pinot noir by the glass, but nothing too offensive. It did look like they had a pretty well stocked bar, so if you're into cocktails, they could probably make you something interesting. Overall, the food was very good, and I would definitely come back here.
